I felt my world come crashing in.
All of your lies were paper thin.
Why did you have to go
And break my heart?

There is a full moon in the sky
Bigger than the hurt you left inside.
Luna, she knows
I was a fool for you.

I know it shouldn't be a shame,
That I have loved your life in vain.
You could never have been true,
No matter how close I kept you to me.

Your heart's been shattered like a vase.
The pieces, like tile, were mortered
back into place.
The slivers of your pain,
Like a window of glass stained.

Fragmented, and frail,
Contagious and strong,
Lacking conviction,
Can't help but be wrong.

Mosaic love,
You've turned your back on me.
Now I'm to blind to see
Just what I've got to do
To get myself over you.

I felt my world come crashing in.
All of your lies were paper thin.
Why did you have to go
And break my heart, again?

Hecate knows that I've been strong.
I should have seen it all along.
We were destined to fail in -
To each other's orbit.

How in the world will I
Get by with this lowly high?
Diana knows
All your changing faces,
Are a puzzle in the dark.

Mosaic love,
You've turned your back on me.
Now I'm to blind to see
Just what I've got to do
To get myself over you.

This is what it is to love,
And be loved,
By someone with a broken heart.

Never to complete,
The cycle does repeat,
Like a beam of moonlight
In a cathedral panel -

Night after night,
Night after night,
Night after night,
Night after night,
Never again to know
A day without a thought of you.

Mosaic love,
You've turned your back on me.
Now I'm to blind to see
Just what I've got to do
To get myself over you.

I felt my world come crashing in.
All of your lies were paper thin.
Why did you have to go
And break my heart, again?

Mosaic love,
You've turned your back on me.
Now I'm to blind to see
Just what I've got to do
To get myself over you.

This is what it is to love,
And be loved,
By someone with a broken heart.

Mosaic love,
You've turned your back on me.
Now I'm to blind to see
Just what I've got to do
To get myself over you.

Never again to know
A day without a thought of you...
I got the idea for this one a few weeks ago. I wrote the refrain containing the title around an existing melody I had last week. I just finished the rest of it in about half an hour, but it took about an hour longer to work on the arrangement. A mosaic is rarely put together evenly, and for that reason, I created a jagged architecture for this song that would probably topple if I tried to fit more into it. I hope you like it.

It amuses me how I often thought of the Colour Green
As simply Hue stained leaves that dressed the Trees
Or Carpeted parts of the Earth
Like Seas of Turf
Also taking Flight
In the Sky
Certain Birds
Distinctly Green
And a number of Reptiles
With such a Glow
However now I know
In our World
When Human Beings Create
They may tap into the Stream
That Flows Green....

Certains oiseaux
Distinctement vert
Et un certain nombre de Reptiles
Avec un tel éclat
Mais maintenant je sais
Dans notre monde
Quand créer des êtres humains
Ils peuvent puiser dans le flux
Les coulées vertes....

You feel like poison in my veins,
but maybe you're just good
at disguising damage,

I could make a mosaic
out of my own pieces,
but I'm choosing to share
my canvas with you,

So why do you insist
on painting me blue?

This was not love,
just a false alarm,
though my definition of home
was in your arms,
Our mosaic never
stood a chance,
the way you'd refuse
when asked to dance,
you could tell love scared you.

Will you let me make
a mosaic out of
our broken parts,
or will your stubbornness
force me to pull away,
send all our pieces astray,
and mourn you even though
you will have not passed away?

I see that you're struggling
I acknowledge your pain
One can't appreciate the sunshine
Without experiencing a little rain

I know you feel broken
As you count down seconds on the clock
Just know that when you need someone
I'll be your rock

Standing by you through the storms
Without pause I take on this task
You can cry, scream, or cuss me out
As we wait for them to pass

I understand that you're tired
But you mustn't stop fighting
When the darkness surrounds you
I'll shine a light, just keep climbing

You're not alone in your feelings
Though at times it may seem
We've all felt ourselves drowning,
Gasping, struggling to breathe

You are only human
You do what you can
Don't ever be ashamed
To need a helping hand

You're not without flaws
But that's indeed my favorite part
The realest person I've ever known;
A true work of art
Mosaic : a picture or pattern produced  by arranging together small, broken pieces ; art

i was broken
once.

i don't even know what
i was before
maybe a vase or a
common water glass
a ceramic mug or a glowing
stained glass window.

i don't know how
it happened maybe i
got dropped or cracked through
contact or the temperature
changed too quickly for
my fragile self to handle.

and i don't know who or
what cracked me like my
twelve year old cd cases
or if it was a slow stress
fracture brought on
by myself.

but the signs are
there
that i was broken
once.

yes, i was
broken
once
and i am still
shattered
in my darkest places.

but i make a
**** good mosaic.

The whites of her dress
matches the whites of her eyes
when the church bell rings
and the black parts roll behind
The red from her middle
spreading across the cloth
beautiful, like a mosaic
of purity

He is a storm
and storms devastate,
but every time he hurts you,
you hold your breath
and bear the hurricane;
repeating to yourself
One more chance
One more breath
just one more,
and you'll fix him

Until one day you can't
hold your breath anymore,
and you are half a stormy evening,
one tear stained night,
two minutes and five seconds
away from breaking down,

And you realize,
you cannot fix  anyone,
not until you fix  yourself.
Don't become broken glass just to be someone else's mosaic
