Almost everywhere
Everytime,
I'd always
stumbled upon you.
Why though?

I meet the love of my life everyday. She's that girl I met at the shops; at the bar ordering a cocktail for three; on the street giving change to a homeless man. Last week I met her filling up that Diahatsu. It might as well have been a Lamborghini or a rocketship. None of it made sense but her.

She's nothing special wrapped inside everything I've ever dreamed of. She's the vision I catch a glimpse of when I imagine what it's like to be happy. The endless collapsing of short lived memories. Voids filling with the putty of a tender fantasy. If I could grab you and share my reality. If I could explain my mind in words that made me sound sane. If only that worked.

meet me where our souls do
where the breath you've held is freed
where your old soul finds
peace.

where me and you become 'we'.

meet me
so i can tell you how i love the dance your hair does,
how i adore the curve of your shoulders,
how i hold on to every word you speak.

meet the way you make me explode into tiny pieces of colourful glass
meet the way i am constantly overwhelmed with the art that is you

meet this.
bonjour. enchantée.

you've left me uninspired now
but i don't hate you
not really
instead i hate you for the wrongest reason
i hate you because i keep looking for you
even bits of your beautiful monstrous self
in these wide corridors i walk in everyday,
through the noise in the canteen,
everywhere i go and
especially in all the people i meet

And one day he said to me
*Do not be fearful when I leave
Do not hide, and do not weep
We shall meet every night- in your dreams.

To meet a stranger twice
is an anomaly we all see.
Our paths meet again
because I had looked away the first time,
because you had stared straight into my eyes
and walked on and on until you thought it was safe to look back
tenderly.

Life throws us against each other and screams
silently for us to say something,
has 'Hello' become a tongue-twister?
what about 'Hey' or 'Nice day'?

Now I stare at my feet
because if our eyes meet
I won't be able to look away
and then I'll have to speak words
but that might ruin it all
so hush and
rush and
pretend this is the end
to our series of anomalies
because I haven't the courage
to make it a beginning
unless we start
together.

When time comes and our roads shall meet
Please don't ask me why or how
When time comes and our roads shall meet
Just smile and maybe say Hi
When time comes and our roads shall meet
You may take my hand and tell me you miss me
When time comes and our roads shall meet
Remember, I love you, and I'll always will
Meet me where the rising sun won't glow on our faces
When the hour strikes time aghast as hurried hands tie laces
Meet me at the scraggly wharf by the river
Where lips whisper on each others breath and trembling tongues quiver
Take me in the darkest corner of the the old abandoned shed
Love me like no other man or I shall have your head

It
is
  over
   but
    there
     will
      always
       be
        a
          shred
           of
            pain
             when
              our
               eyes
                meet

There's a face staring back.
It's not yours its not hers.
Its not familiar but
Its always been there.

That normal face you make.
Its not yours without it.
That thing you do.
That made you unique.
That face thought of it long ago.

Those skills you have.
That seem to come from no where.
Did you think that was you?
I've practiced all my life.

Those genes that you wear.
The ones that no one can share.

What bits do I now own?
Do I need answers?
From this face that has shown.

A face approaching faster
Perhaps one day soon.
I'll meet my father.
