My mother is the light at the end of the tunnel,
she pulls me from pits i half explain through mumbles on the phone,
i give her so little and she works with it,
until it becomes something
i mean what do you expect from a woman that has made herself what she is and is humble enough to place all praise at god's feet
my mother is the light at the end of the tunnel
and i go through these tunnels so often
and still there she is patiently waiting for me
and she is the light

Mama.
Why am I so scared of telling you the true?
Why can't I tell you how broken I feel?
I know you would listen.
You won't judge me.
I know.
But mama.
Why am I so scared?
If it is not because of you?
Is it because when I speak my fears that they will even become more real?
Mama
I am so scared.
Mama
I wish I could just tell you.

Run, doe eyes, run.
Stay far away from his kind.
Run, fawn heart, run.
He's hunting for you with sharp and hungry eyes.
My mama warned against men much too older than you.
Oh baby bird, didn't your mama warn you too?
"Nothing gold can stay."

Gypsy Rose Lee.
Is that you or me?
Does that make you Baby June?

The favourite and best
No concern for the rest
You sing and you dance in the tune.

Or just like Gypsy
You learn how to strip tease
The glamour and glitz of the night.

But who's mama Rose?
And how could I know?
She pushes and leads to a fight.

But Gypsy is magic
And a rare art form
And June is so dainty
Doesn't know when she's born
She's the centre of attention
She's the first one who speaks
And Gypsy is left there
Still being Louise.

Chow mein and lambs
Travel the land
A show on vaudeville stage.

Let me entertain you
Let me have a try too
Honey, were you not entertained?
Has anyone ever seen the movie/musical Gypsy? Well I love it!

It wasn't her fault as far as I know
I made it not alive out her womb
Not the drugs, not her liquor,No
I was just destined for my tomb

It wasn't her choice I took this route
Tell her train of depression not to hoot
It wasn't her making to be that small
She's a special mama, among them all

It couldn't be father's fault, It's fate
Yes, let her not love the man with hate
I know I should have been her first
But she shouldn't think she's cursed

Tell her to give motherhood another try
I know she thinks it was a 9 months' lie
Wipe her tears please, don't let her cry
It wasn't her making for me to die

Steal her sorrow, I'll pay the fine
Do all you can to see she's fine
She can have another to wear
& dine
In all treasures she says were mine

Give my mama joy, God set her free
You know she's barely twenty three
I bleed seeing how bad she's broken
Yes, give her a child, another token
Was just trying to do something different
It's a dedication to all mothers and those thinking their problems are the worst
Just be strong, somehow somewhere life will right the wrong

My mama always told me
everything can be fixed
with a little duct tape
& a lot of easy lovin'

Maybe I can do the same
thing, but with your heart

Bente kwatro oras ang kilos
Mga gawain na tila' di natatapos
Pagtitimpi na hindi nauubos
Ano pa mahal kong Ina ang kaya **** ibuhos?

Hindi ka ba napapagod?
Araw-araw kang kumakayod
Walang day off, walang bonus, walang sahod.

Kahit kailan wala kang sinumbat

Alam ko hindi sapat ang aking salamat
At hindi ka kayang tumbusan ng anumang salita
Mahal kong Ina, salamat po sa lahat lahat
Salamat po sa puso nyong 'di napapagod nagmamahal.
This is a filipino poem to all the filipino mothers :)

In a time,
when men were the superheroes,
born in an unconventional location,

a young girl, unknown to the future
she was destined to,
was born with a uniqueness
unfound in all people, a superpower
of empathy
and as she grew,

the world knew
she was imbued
as a living embodiment of legends:

Athena's wisdom,
beauty that surpassed the goddess Aphrodite,
conversational skills that made Hermes envious,
and strength that Hercules
could never attain.

As she approached an age, when her parents would
trust her to be guardian,
her powers manifested.
This incredible child was now a woman.

With the ability to heal those in need: she could expunge
poison that had afflicted a person,
even their hearts,
a God-given gift for those most sacred;
her correspondences exponentially developed,
able to connect in all languages, fueled by her empathetic nature,
this allowed all who interacted with her to trust her for she radiates sincerity.

Now, fully grown, this super-no-

This Wonder Woman had retired her duties
to save the world, not forsake it, but,
to train Wonder Girl, her daughter,
to unlock the latent abilities her mother had passed on to her.

She still looks up at the Higher Power
and realizes her duty to provide
the world justice is not over
but only beginning.

Her holy spirit was not unacknowledged
and was gifted
a bulletproof bracelet,
forged by the most skilled craftsman by direction
of all that is wise and healing.

Given to her to wear
so that nothing could halt her
as she continues
her fate to provide the world a humanity
that could only come from
an intrinsically true
dear heart.

dear mom:
i’ve spent the past couple days trying to figure out all the ways to say how, yeah, sometimes we drive each other crazy but oh how necessary you are for me.
you raised me.
you taught me to paint the big picture while paying attention to the little things
and maybe it’s not so strange.

dear mom:
i’m still a little bit afraid of monsters but the dark
isn’t so scary when i’m staring at the stars
that spin on your bedroom ceiling with you pressed against my arm.
your breathing
is so steady and relieving
from the creatures creeping
through shadows in my own room.

dear mom:
there’s a reason we celebrate mother’s day

dear mom:
i wanted to get you something better than a poem but then i thought maybe a piece of the soul that you helped put together would override flowers
so i hope this is okay.
i wanted to draw you something but i’m better with computer keys than a pencil
and i don’t think i’d ever be satisfied with it anyway

dear mom:
i love you

dear mom:
i need you

dear mom:
thank you for everything that i couldn’t find the words to say

sincerely,
yours truly,
forever, and with love,
a daughter who will always need a mama like you
last minute gift aha

El Invierno
es un infierno
para mi.

Mis dias
y mis noches
se llenan de
recuerdos de ti.

Yo no puedo aguantar,
yo no puedo soportar
Lo tanto que te extraño.
Lo que haria por un año
mas contigo.
A poem for my mother, may she continue to rest peacefully
