Ivy
The ivy climbs high,
It reaches out-
Limitless.

Unashamedly,
Thriving off the life of its host,
Who is just as blind.

Lovers compare its growth,
To their emotions-
Limitless.

Irony.
What thrives so well,
Eventually kills its host,
Who is just as blind.

Falling in love
is like holding your breath,
you will constantly ache
but you're afraid to let go of the way
her hair smells of lavender and spring.

Falling in love
is like bursting into flames,
you will perpetually burn
but you're scared you'll forget
the warmth of his chest when he holds you.

Falling in love
is like taking the first flight,
you will struggle, you will stumble,
you will fall,
but once you taste the clouds
and dance with the breeze,
you are limitless.

Strange Territory
the wilds of the human mind
unfathomable
Fourth of four poems written this morning.
Brain-mind science has always fascinated me, especially since I have believed since childhood that the human mind is limitless; an idea with which science is just now starting to catch up.  ;-)
What be more grandiose than poetry,

     expound at your own discretion,

bottle sunshine, save it in a jar,

tie an affectionate knot, spread it around

flood desert mirages with flowing spirits,

speaks kindly and murderously about love,

can tempt winds to uncoil temptation's gist

****** upon or written asunder desperation

relentless in its seizing of human behavior,

magnifying moonbeams or star's decimation

    perfumed magnolias to winter's cruelty,

call of the wild midst sweetness of fresh rhubarb pie,

infinitely vast in its incalculable grasp of predication,

beyond limitless infrastructures 'neath fancied significance

limitations and creativity is a bad pair,
for creativity is limitless

wake up
look outside
the sun has risen and so have you
your mind has wandered
and returned to where you let it lie
but it can return to that world
where boundaries were undefined
and you struggled to touch sides
for there were none, neither allegiances
just a vast empty world of promise
where a cheshire cat plays with string hanging off olympus mons
and you play twister in nebulae with the gods
the power of the mind is that it can conjure literally anything. in a dream world, there are countless possibilities. i love the craziness that can accompany your slumber

I use the word no
As a tool
Of self-empowerment
Saying it
Just to stand strong
Not giving in
Setting boundaries
Where I please
Allowing myself to consider
I realize that I
Have options beyond measure
No reason to settle
My standards don't
Seem so high
Since I've learned to treasure
Myself
I make things
On my own terms
Why set limits
Sometimes I feel like I'm boundless

The sky cannot contain me
I shall soar into the infinite expanse
I am free to fly wherever I choose

Then, my heart crashes
Plummeting to the ground

I realize I don't even have wings

Love for me is limitless.
It does not only abide to a couple.
Love happens when your grandfather plants a kiss on your forehead.
Love is being called beautiful by your mother or father.
Love is that bear hug your brother or sister gives you.
Love is sharing that laughter with your best friends.

It is one word that has a million meanings.
Although it may be a hard game to play.
Fear not, for it is something everyone would want to achieve.

I guess you can say that a sixteen year old does not know a thing about it,
Well I agree my expertise on it is far behind others.
But one thing I can say about love is that it turns the world around.

Love is limitless,
Amidst your sexuality or race.
Your gender and age.
Love is love.
And love, is limitless.

'The sky
is the limit'
that's what they all say
but I believe
You
and I
can go far above
the sky
so the expression
should be
'there are
no limits'
You can go above the sky for sure.
