What a strange place this is.
Isn't it such a strange place?
To not know ones face,
but follow what one says.

You meet people,
without actually meeting them,
It makes you quite gleeful,
without knowing the outcome.

This place is pretty dangerous
for it's starting to take over

So, you want to write a poem.
Dear, dear writer, don't you know?
I come on my own time.
Prepare me a space
with white linen and
scarlet red roses.
Sweet talk me pretty,
or you'll be the one
up all night pacing,
pining for your poetry.
So love, you expect the best--
Well, I give when I’m ready.

                 Yours truly,

the Internet
is how we met
it begins all the same
the devil in me is to blame.
again,
I have sinned
but where will it all end?
rhetorical
it may seem
historical
but like a dream
starting out fresh and new
with a flirty how do you do
and **** talk to ensue
but now with another who.
I think I am clever
dancing forever
but the devil
is not careful
with my artist's soul
swallowing me whole
not special or unique
one of many you seek
sneaking in my heart
to tear apart
when will I learn
that hell will burn
my eyes are blue as is my mood

We live close to the people far
We are far away from the people close by
The network of people within net
Has its web links across the globe
We follow thousands people around
Giving them likes , emoticons
And sometimes comments!
Thousand pictures of others life ,
The stories , they have
All there to be viewed by people
Who care , who don't care
But people , do share

Two hearts ignited
Over long conversations
When two time zones merged
"I fail to see how you can fall in love with a person without meeting them!"
"I fail to see how you cannot."
"People lie on the internet."
"You're half right. People lie."

(Read my poem, get a micro-story free!) :P Sorry guys, don't mind me! :) <3

When I started getting sick,
My school attendance dropped week by week.
It was a painfully slow process;
A day here and there turned into a few days,
Turned into a week, until I spent weeks off school.
My friends dropped even slower, even more painfully.
The ones I'd made at that school disappeared
Like the world's greatest magician collective.
And the ones who I'd known for years...
Well, they were too busy living their own lives.
They saw me here and there, and it made me happy when they did,
In the same way that rare glimpses of gold make a poor man smile.
But eventually the darkness of loneliness devoured me entirely,
And I receded away from everyone while blaming them.
In those days, I was a zombie in all aspects of life,
And the Internet was the only time I had a reprieve.
I was a hollow shell, grunting one-word answers to parents,
While discussing my favourite shows with online friends.
And without that online presence, I know I'd have ended it
With the shadowy hand of depression passing me the knife.
I never would've made it this far,
Where eight years have passed and I'm still close to those friends,
Where I've met up with some of them
And overcome my anxiety in ways I never thought possible.
To many, the Internet is for shallow, brainless people,
But for many, it's a lifeline, and every #selfie smile I see
Is a person thriving instead of wilting.
This is less about my favourite thing about the Internet, and more a story involving the Internet, but even so, I think the message is the same.

Hey listen, I’m not here to criticize you for spending 10 hours on YouTube or Facebook or Tumblr or whatever. I think we’re all at least a little bit guilty of going overtime online. And it’s not like that's entirely a bad thing. But sometimes we get stuck with things we don’t really need.

And I’m not asking you to abandon the internet for a day of anything. And it’s not like I have a whole lot of influence. I am just writing on a page from a person you don’t know. But still, you gotta wonder where you’ve been when you get lost online. Trust me, I’ve been there. Sometimes, we need to wake up and remember to live life again. Not because we should, but because we can. Because you’re more than you realize.

So don’t get lost if you don’t have to. Not just on the internet, but anywhere. Remind yourself of where you’re going, and make it there. So now it’s up to you, what you decide to do is out of my control. All I can do is wish you good luck. Thanks for finding my letter.

I mean, I'm addicted to poetic trash on the internet.

Even though the sun
"goes up and down",
every day,
in the same way,
we always seem to be surprised
by its trajectory and
every picture we take of it
looks different
because it mirrors a slightly changed self.

every 5 minutes,
hundreds of photographs of this
back and forth movement
are being uploaded on the Internet,
generating a Polaroid exhibition of repetitive lies.

Torrid texts
Tempting to fell for
God,
Didn't see the strings
Pulling down to deceit

This heart could break
But wouldn't slip
Ridiculing rupture though
Trembling fingers
Firm texts
Decisions at stake

Should've never trusted
