you'll find someone
to love and hold on to
and you'll have happy times
together

forget why you went with one another
and where you went, for what
but suppose it makes no difference
to two lovebirds

it's the kind of love that makes people turn their heads
mirrored in their faces is everything we want
so we just stare, waiting for our reflection

though that might wain
love's thrill comes in rolling
on the crest of another day
as sure as a sunrise

Will you be well?
I am unable to tell.
Your number is ugly..
But I hope you're bubbly!
Let's be friends,
Though it'll end.
And play hide and seek,
So that I can take a peek.
Full of surprises,
All under a disguise.
Let's do this one more time,
This time I'll make you mine.

Like I’m home
Somewhere I’ve
Never been
But somewhere
I somehow know

us means nothing, if we want

I come here
to this island rich in growth
clear warm fluid
to catch its currents
and swim its nurturing depths
where I can breathe underwater
and leave traces of my darkness
to float like drops of ink
in a glass bowl.

These tropics
reside on the map of my heart
for me to locate
when covered
by layers of sand
in the desert
on gray slate days
barren days of lost inspiration
when I am turned in on me
and my tottering self
the me I see
on my pockmarked well-traveled and aged face
each morning in the mirror.

I arrive here
each time with a glimmer
a hope I can find
within me a point of light
some soft and pure place
a source a force
where I can rise again.
This site is a place of encouragement, inspiration and nurture in the midst of this ****** pandemic whose news has gotten me down, along with just fricking getting old. Thanks my friends for being here, for reading my droppings, for enduring my idiosyncrasies and limits, my peculiar faith, and all the rest. I love you. I really do.

"Man in his arrogance"
-Carl Sagan

--May you rest peacefully amongst the stars--

All we have destroyed..
Look at the skies..
Those stars..
Those dreams..
Those wonders..

Money and power
Splendor and valor
Music and our judgment

We do seem.. Paradoxical

Harmoniously dissonant
We were given ourselves..
By Nature or by God..
A gift of a chance..

Why do we draw lines?
Lines of paper copied from earth
Counties and countries

Simple foolishness

Earth is home
Keep it simple
Help it stay that

Your opinions matter
My opinions matter
It is our species

It is what we know now
All the meanings we create..

Humanity is insignificant
When sketching with the pride of ego

As we drew lines around beauty to claim it
We whittled ourselves down

We must not hate intelligence

We must view Humanity..

As the Moon did long ago..

A blue wonder's residents..
Miracles..

Free of lines
Free of our own abuse..

I am only words..
Love is my hidden explanation for respect
So I worry for her..

The moon..

I would see her tears
I would hold Earth's Moon's hand..
I would if I could..

She exists terrified
She would float away
She strains against our gravity

I cannot blame her..
We made life a fire in front of her

Yet still there is Hope..
We could build a floating heaven..
You are not bound to Hell
You can live

So live and forgive..

The stars are waiting for you..
Embrace your dreams
Make them yours..

We are us..
And us is all we have
Nothing is forever..

Life exists to be lived

raindrops fall in winter
smoke greys out the sky
an old bear curls up
he's laying down to die
but he hibernates for winter
gathering all his strength
she'll brave this darkened time
and go on in life at length

I told the starts about you
And the way I can feel your fingertips slowly run down my back,
Even when we are miles away.

How the butterflies slowly rise from my stomach,
Quickly reaching my mouth and then flying away.
I watch them disappear into the universe in hopes that they’ll reach you and you’ll feel my love.

The ways I bombard my pillow each night with the rom-com scenarios and happily ever afters
Imagining what our late night face times, dinner dates and movies nights look like,
Hoping that each night is a step closer for them to finally become true.

How songs, poems, words and objects automatically make me think of you
And how I find everything I’ve been searching and seeking for inside your soul and body,
But you don’t even know.

And also how I’m constantly daydreaming about your galaxy filled eyes.
I could get lost inside of them and travel to numerous universes just by locking eyes with you,
Wishing that I’m the sun inside of them that makes your whole face light up.

I told the starts about you
As I was counting them up in the sky
Moving and shaping so they could form your face,
So you could be right next to me and never let me go.
