Adam touches down
in heaven upon the high.
But his highwater mark
wasn’t solely one way.

He could hear the jingle
upon the high resonates
beneath the ground!

He could see the cloud
forms on the top
and rains down to the ground.

Bow down on the earth
and rise high.
Lo, the golden spiral too,
curves downward
before spiking high up.

I’m smiling wide,
But you don’t seem to know,
That I love you more and more,
Everyday my love grows.

The way you light up,
I can’t help but stare,
I close my eyes and hold you tight,
But it seems I’m hugging air

I’ve climbed out of my body,
To remember this beautiful night,
The way we danced and sang,
Under the fall moonlight.

And here I sit, still smiling,
But my grin is one of despair,
Because you are smiling at her,
And I’ll just always be there.
Nothing quite captures the, “college feel”
As running,
Almost but not quite,
Late to class,
Several photocopied book pages,
Packets,
Handed out by the professor yesterday,
Tucked in a w shape,
Around your, my, middle ring and pointed pointer finger,
The dark crevasse made by spine height,
Etches a deep rift in the center of a work,
Or a piece,
Or a section,
Making readers take running jumps,
Hands and feet forward,
In order to reach the other side,
With some,
Falling ****** Tunes,
Into the dark lofty abyss.

no hangovers,
just leftover
memories from last night,
too faded to remember
what happened last night

give me strength, give me hope
tell me you'll never
let me go
feel my heart bleeding
when you go

make me feel so incomplete
teach me
dependability
show me i need you
in everything

why do i see you
in everything

and do we think of each other, only
when it's cold and dark
i need to know if you'll love me
when it gets warmer
in the summer, in the light
or
maybe it's just when you're high.
don't know exactly where this came from, except for the fact that my boyfriend who gets high a lot was talking to me the other day about how he doesn't see what anyone gets from feeling anything. it made me wonder if he meant love as well. these lyrics kind of wrote themselves last night.

A soundtrack from behind the blinds,
fleeting and skittering steps into the rocking water,
crossing the ebbing tide's line in the sand.

I cross the barrier between,
I open my eyes and I see
the castle standing on an arching hill
over the snaking river.
The tower reaches high,
stretching to meet the clouds
and the bricks of the walls sit in piles
of rubble, left to the mosses
and vines that drape their faces.

My vision fades to black and it forms again,
the gray sea and shimmering light appear
as i wade deeper, now up to my knees
in the lifeless water.

Up the spiraling staircase,
a glance through the hole in the wall
as the valley shrinks below
and the hazy purple sky
envelopes the whole of my sight.

The water reaches my chest now,
my steps scraping the rocky bottom
and the white moon lighting the path
forward, reflecting in a white sparkle
on the top of the slow moving wake.

The crumbled roof at the top of the tower
gives way to the dark and starry night.
A hazy mist surrounds,
of a cloud slowly drifting through
like an ambling specter,
on the long march home.

I crouch at the edge,
at the edge of the hole at the bottom.
I fill my lungs with a last breath
and dive downwards,
the gray sea covering me
and pushing me into the lightless cavern.

The mist of the cloud passes
and the view of the valley
is cleared.
I sit at the edge of the tower,
with my feet dangling over the side.

Lost in the stars,
once again my vision fades
But the gray waves do not return,
the white moonlight dimmed and extinguished
as I sigh and sit at the top of my conquest
and remember the days i've lost
in the traceless place,
with its tranquil waves.

Take a hit or ten of the pipe that will
Surely rearrange your mind, until
You come back down to Earth, but while you are up
See what drips from your mouth into your cup

The road turns upside down with a grin
And without any dignity, denouncing your chagrin
See yourself shouting at the weather up at the sky
Raining, snowing, or sunning, you’ll pass it by

Float past the purple beanstalks that
Grow right by where you just had sat
Listen for nature joking inside your ears
Making you think of all those wasted years

A glorious wind blows you like a page
Out of those bars that held you in society’s cage
Do not be alarmed in the world you have come to
It is a divine paradise in the clouds of pleasant blue

Flowers come forth in the morning spirit sun
In this warm grassy meadow, you skip hop and run
And around you are those happy smiling faces
Belonging to those friends that have brought you to these places

There’s an expression for what these feelings are
Even after you’ve fallen down from your star
It means that you’re away and dazed in the head
And the feeling is called being blissfully dead.

Swear I’ll try
Don’t go away
Make my mind
Feel okay
Be my girl
For the night

A foreign flow
Don’t be afraid
Don’t be so scared
I’ll be your John
you’ll be my doe
Alibis, no one will know
Be a friend
Take my soul

To have a kiss
That breaks my heart
To be in bliss
One more start
