I'd love to wake up
As a strum in the air
From one lonely girl's song
about how much she cared

She'd appear melancholic
On the side of a road,
Well not exactly the road
She's in a field off on her own

She strums and sings
Letting the wind take away
Every memory and pain
She's experienced throughout
Her days

"I'll run away,
So far you won't see where
My footsteps end- I'll take a train
To the ocean and fly so high"

She makes you feel something inside
You try to meet her in the middle
But didn't realize just how tall the field would be,
so you follow her somber melody

You find the key to her guitar case,
She left it behind, but left no trace
Of which way she went
You still hear her humming

But sit instead and that is why,
She got up and left.
You heard her but did not care to chase after her

ABDUCTEE

You’re a girl like no other ’cause of what you are. It’s not your fault that you got scared, cry at night or get so lonely in a crowd. Everyday you ask the same two questions: Why me? And when will they come for me? You get flashbacks of blinding pain and flashing strobe lights. So when the aliens abduct you and you feel it before it happens, you wish for death. Can no one see the alien ship as you float through your roof up to it? No one believes you when you say you’re an abductee – aliens don’t exist, they say – they’re just in our minds.

I once knew a girl from a north country shore
as it was some place I had been to before.
We had met one fine day going down the street
each walking in opposite directions sweet.
We were both minding our own business when
an incident happened for us to meet then;
some elderly lady with a shopping bag
was coming along but got caught in a snag;
one of her shoes on the uneven pavement
nearly sent her headlong towards derailment.
Fortunately for her we were both there to
stop her from falling and to save the bag's spew.

As we helped the lady and looked at each other
we caught a gleam of light in our eyes to bother
all preconceived notions of what life was about
and it seemed we were both uneasy to find out.
For we looked up and away with sighs of relief
then back again at each other in disbelief.
I couldn't help seeing then the look on her face;
reflections of my own as from a mirrored place.
Or was it an image from deep within my heart
projected outward being therein from the start?
What happened next was not so amazing to tell
as we spoke certain words of greeting and farewell.

I can feel,
your heart racing, crying for his touch
Your eyes chase him constantly
while mine chase you just as much

A soft pink color brushes your face
I realize,
he probably looked your way
As I watch you sink deeper in love
I write words
I wish I could say

Love me now or love me later
trust me, doesn't matter
I just hope you love me once
before I drift somewhere farther

A Woman took My Name,
While a Girl stole My Heart.
On seeing the Girl with Me,
The Woman's headaches Start.
The Woman has Sharp Eyes,
The Girl's Eyes are Blue.
The Woman has chained My Life
and wants to stick Me with Glue.
The Girl holds on to My Heart
While the Woman holds on to Me.
What good is this Life of mine,
When My Heart isn't Free.
I'm caught in a ****** Triangle,
Where the characters are the Same.
All I do is play Hide and Seek.
When they keep calling out My Name.
you whispered

" I wish I had met
you when you were older"

and I replied

" I wish I had met you
when you were younger"
you were the bitter
taste of every
reoccurring dream
