The gentle way you gaze upon me
Your heart upon your tears
The drop in your voice
As your breath carries my name in the moonlight
The stars are aligned leading us home
Into one another
Searching beyond imagination
Through space and time
Never understanding the emptiness
Though seeming to be full
The pain of void
Filled at the sight of my soul in you
For you are my missing piece
And I am your sun

i took a slice
of that moon light
a radiant prism
of a butterfly skin.

made some  lanterns
hung on each tree
sat back and watched
the wind playing hymns.

the keys were teeth
of a black puma
pulled the chords
a moonlight sonata.

it was a full moon
and i was breathless
music of vibes…
silent strings.

I can tell you're shy
How kind
Polite as Cake

All
All is full of love.
But, of brevity,
fuller.

Writing something when you're full
Makes you mix up lion with bull
When you stay off the kitchen
Your stomach feels some itching
Later maybe have some tea
Having too much makes you ***
Take some time to digest
This way you can say the best

My love for you is the fabric of my soul
Our promises the stitches holding it together
Beneath the full moon, washed in it's blue light
My heart beating in my chest

This love is the kind that seeps into your bones
Walks among this Earth, and smiles at the sky
Your eyes of the deepest blue
Your hair, silk strands of midnight captured me at once

The night is chilled
The fine hairs on my body raised by it's touch
The leaves brush against each other
Footsteps, a soft pitter pat in the distance
Fingers clenched tightly around the thorny stem of the rose you left waiting
The pinch settles my erratic heart as I wait for you

And there I see you, high on the hill top
The familiarity rushes through my veins
Like a shot of Home to calm the nerves
Beneath the full moon you stood there
Waiting for me too.

Wake up laughing
cackle into the kitchen
9:15 a.m. on Sunday
cop-outs couched in cups of coffee

Lock the door but no one's coming
I'm the LORD OF ALL I SURVEY!

Survey says the pilot's out
sink is full and
blinds are drawn.
It smells like sweat and silence
and a mostly empty fridge.

"Everything the light touches is yours!"
Outstanding power bill
          bank statements
               unreconciled
unwashed clothes
and unsent thank-you notes.
Shrink-wrapped books on how to cope.

Maybe I'll ask for a raise...

Is the glass half empty or half full?
Somebody asked me this once,
I turned to them and said,
"What does it matter when the water
that takes up half of the cup,
is *****, stagnant, bitter water?"
I looked through some old facebook messages, and I came across a conversation that went like this.
The Unknown Aug 2014
I don't know if it's natural
I don't know if it's real
All I really know is
how it makes me feel
when I feel empty
it makes me feel full
and all I know is that
it's beautiful
This poem is about saguaro cacti in Sedona, Arizona.
