Rubayiat Al Thurab (Verses of the Dust) - 80

BismillahIr RahmanIr Raheem

I faithfully represent your complete creation,
Who is merged seamlessly with dear soul and rosy flesh.

He dearly wants to remain as a fond lover of his beloved,
Therefore, carefully select my dear heart for his beloved.

He entered heartily in my lively sense,
Thence he can express about his beloved.

He carefully develops me as a lover,
to adore His Beloved through my own sense.

Now My soul can't be singly from me,
Or my eternal love from my noble soul.

As I faithfully represent your complete creation
Whom He wisely Named as Ummah Thurab!

Allah Khair..... Khairul Rabul Alameen Yah Arrahmanur Yah Raheem

Rubayiat Al Thurab (Verses of the Dust)
Boy
It took until now
thin and mid 20s
to comprehend
that as a child I was
and as an adult
still very much am
spoiled

little childhood
traumas to mine
               no festering drama
               no shrouded mess

calm can bury like a
gravity blanket
               too hot or too cold
               I complain

I have never clawed
at my belly in hunger
felt my body
fall off in jeweled
pieces but I have
at times been
hungry

adulthood is a lake
blue black and endless
               rife with mudtraps
                    brimming with viperheads
                         scraping at the surface water

I am spoiled
I have not known pain
but I knew a person
whose eyes prodded
               like nails through jello
my insides and cut
tendrils of muscle
and delighted in the
stitching back
               the pushing of
                    needle through
                         meaty bits

some time after
I was grown
but flailing madly
as a comet poised
for landfall

a beetle in
a dust storm
a child with its
first scraped knee

my flesh yearns
for the needle
and for skin all
smooth and
scarred and
like the color of night
               singing
like the color of night
like sky like light
a rapturous blue

You took the beasts among us,
and made them gods.
Hungry,
ravenous gods.

Will you let me go? Or have you distilled my essence so completely that, unmarried of your obsession, I must remain empty of myself; stripped of sanity’s constraints?

Am I fated to revisit the conjunction of my undoing, if only to recognise my own signature in your scent, and to taste the smokey flavour of my combustible flesh upon your skin?

Is it I - desirous of an end - who have released my immeasurable craving in order to destroy us both?
‘I desire the things which will destroy me in the end.’

i was the flesh you needed
to cover your aching bones
but then your skeleton
decided he didn't need a home

We blindly type out of memorization,
We blindly write from practiced habit,
We blindly skip paragraphs, ignore articles, and pensively print upon the line without realization of what we’re saying at all.
We never truly see,
We deteriorate out of muscle memory
Absently offering an embrace neglecting to fully eyes-closed experience the wonderfulenss of it at all.
We go through the motions,
Dwelling in our minds straining its relation to our souls,
We no longer act in love,
But the muscle memory of it.
We look, but don’t truthfully see,
We touch, but forget to truly feel,
We hear, but we no longer listen,
We have flesh, yet we are merely programmed.
Advanced, but empty,
Knowledge unimaginable, yet still lacking,
Right, left, up, down, but do we realize the palpability and tenderness of the action?
Or are we too much on automatic?
In over drive,
That we forget to live out the littlest things and realize them to the fullest

I just want to feel something
coursing
through my veins
that isn’t blood.
I’ve grown so tired
and bored
of my flesh.
give me something
