Being with her is like no other place,
Like resting on a soft, buoyant cloud.
As she holds me in her wise embrace,
We say everything and nothing aloud.

She inspires me in her steadfast grace,
As she humbly absorbs my loving.
She sees the pain etched upon my face,
And warmly soaks in my sobbing.

She accepts my faults, her heart unlaced,
Our bind, like roots entwining.
For we are cherished in each others trace,
Our endless love, sweet, undying.
inspired by both a tree, and some very important friendships

A box.
Like water, we fill the shape in which we fall.
In a box too big, water seeps in, grasping and waiting to hit the edges.
We are made to think we aren’t enough—our box may be too big.
In a box too small, we drip over the edges, losing pieces of ourselves.
We are told we are too much.

But make your own box. You’re perfectly enough. You fill its every corner.
Others may have bigger boxes.
They may be shaped oddly—round, curved, sharp—
but the only box you will fit in is your own.

The night wraps itself around me, a velvet shroud,
Whispering promises of warmth in its false crowd.
I stumble into her arms, but her name escapes me,
A faceless phantom, filling empty shapes.
The lights blur, the music dulls the ache,
Her touch a fleeting balm for what I fake.
Laughter spills like wine, hollow and thin,
But it can't drown the silence screaming within.
Her eyes search mine, but find nothing inside,
Afraid she'll see our feelings collide.
A soul adrift, lost in an endless sea,
Clinging to strangers for company.
I tell myself it's enough, this fleeting play,
A masquerade to keep the darkness at bay.
Yet when dawn arrives, her warmth is gone,
And I’m left with my shadow to lean upon.
The bed feels colder, though I am not alone,
Her presence fades like a forgotten tone.
What am I but a man with borrowed fire,
A marionette of fleeting desire?
I long for something deeper, real and true,
But my hands are too stained to reach out for you.
And so I drift, lost in the night’s disguise,
Hiding my emptiness beneath blank eyes.

The Cold speaks to me in whispers,
A voice from the depths of the grave,
Echoing through the lifeless expanse,
Where justice has long since decayed,

I do not feel regret,
Nor the pulse of living flesh,
As the frost gnaws at my hollow bones,
A numbness creeping through my skin,

This world is a tomb, cold and barren,
Where the dead do not dream.
The Cold's embrace is all that shields me,
A shroud against the world’s cruel gaze,

In this endless void,
The Cold's embrace is the only truth left.
It is the only thing that lingers,
The only thing I still crave.

The dirt still knows you and me as it squirms under our toes, and the old bells up the steeple of the forgotten chapels resting behind the hills sing tarnished songs of friends we loved and lost.

Ancient rivers, our hide away, under our confidante, the shifting sky, our secrets lingering there still with faithful boulders that cushioned us.

We were arms that cradled each other while we set to walk on a wire stretching from our innocence to our dreams against the gusting wind and blowing doubt.

At times we made it and saw storms retreat and run for cover, and other times we smile bruised and wounded grateful for the lessons we have learned.

Down by the river, where the world is hushed, and shadows draw sharp breaths and bite down ******* us with their gaze, you'll find me nailed to time awaiting your return before the dusk descends, I pray.

Make haste, find your way back to the place we’ve seen eternity, and where tomorrow talks to us. Our refuge where promises hang their eyes on us and spread their arms wide. There, we are orphans with no yesterdays. There where our hearts cut through tears. With our hands out we could
dream without end.

If you don’t find us there, friends lost in me, if yours knees still could, feel the wind, it’s still dappled with memories.

your heartbeat echoes in my ear as your chest is pressed to my face
warmth radiates between us as if we have all the time in the world to waste
i would trade a lifetime for another second in your embrace

Will you be the queen to my castle?
Just like the moon completes the sky,
Will you be the light that guides me
Through the shadows of the night?
Will you look me in the eye and promise me delightfully
That I'm the best you'll ever see?

Will you be the bead to my bracelet?
Threaded through the string of life,
An anchor of pure investment
Will you be the playful wind that tangles through my hair
That would never let me live in despair
For I've been already there,
Running away from the things I mostly cared

So will you be The queen to my castle?
Will you let me embrace you with my fortress walls?
Will you let me hold you close and never say goodbye?
Will you stay, or will you leave?
Will i be abandoned, like the hundred times before ?
Or will I finally have-
A queen to my castle?
I want my queen to enter the castle :)
