The sky shelters you and
I from the sky itself,
Bleeding clearly a cleansing,
As disguised a drowning, of

Mossy light over your thigh
Bone, raw and swollen.
The Gods eat it up and
Declare war on the rest,

Like myself in feverish night,
Sky is groaning hot—
Steaming like Hell,
All faithful to itself.
i don't like the third and fourth line of the second stanza agh

i used to wear a disguise
to deceive the real me
i locked all the crazy
afraid for anyone to see
i used to be a deception
of all that you see
against the piercing reality of today

i used to wear a disguise
which i used
to lock away
all of my hopes and all of my dreams

i used to wear a disguise
until you came along
to unlock all the crazy
and reveal the real me
so everyone can see

for you made me realize that:

i am what i disguised
so no longer will i deceive
because what i am
is what i am meant for you to see
my best friend insipired me to write this

I'm a master of disguises
Skilful at charades
So many different characters
Through my life I've had to play
But my true self is amazing
Though concealed in vulnerability
So please go deeper than the mask
To unveil authentic beauty

We all wear masks ..... sometimes we just need people to see through them

infused with strength
escaping the devious ways
of a dark suductive soul
continually breathing in those
spoken words known to be lies
leaving behind the scars
that's very hard to disguise

i am flesh clinged to bones
forced to follow the script just like the rest
yet my rebellious demons
start fighting against this innocent disguise
they shred it at every edge
struggling to escape, they now appear
as the frightening dark creatures
theyve always been in there
now that i am stripped down
to my naked soul
you shall see
the monsterous masterpiece i chose to not reveal

What do you dream of when you close your eyes
What do you truly dream of when you take off your disguise

What is it that makes your heart quicken
What is it that will make you blood thicken

What gets you moving and going on you way
What helps you to survive another day

What do you do when all your dreams have died
What do you do when they no longer dance before your eyes

What can you do when there's no thoughts when you sleep
What can you do when the hole it left is to steep

If all your dreams die what motivates you then
If all your dreams end how do you get up time and again

Are all dreams ment to die
Are they ment to dissolve into the sky

Maybe I should of ran, and dashed
Grabbed your gun, when I had the chance
I'm trying to keep the burning tears behind my eyes
Trying desperately to maintain my disguise
I know you don't see what I really could be
Or loaded guns you wouldn't have left with me

My actions where becoming feral
As I put in my mouth the cold steel barrel
But this being your gun, and the blind trust you showed
You seeing me with the back of my head blowed
Pieces of me
All over the trees
Well.....I couldn't let that be
So I removed the gun from my mouth, put it away
When you came back I smiled like it was just any other day

It doesn't matter how the world sees you
For the world is quite subdued
It set's the limit of what is acceptable
What is regrettable
What is transposable
What is disposable

All that matters is how the people in your life view you
Are you loud, are you crude
Are you brazen,are you rude
Or are you the voice that soothes

Do you do your very best
To make other's feel blessed
Even though your more than stressed
With your own life a ****** up mess

Do they see your strength, does it show
Even through your hope was gone long ago
Do you still brave each day
Fighting there, in the gray

Can they find the hope you lost
Do they see you go on, no matter the cost
Do they love you anyway
Even when your in the hole, do they stay
Stand beside you night and day
Love you, even when you're in the sway

When depression takes your hand
Leads you to it's lonely land
By you then, do they still stand
Do they hold you close, do all they can

Or do they scatter
Leavening you to feel you don't matter
Making you out to be the Mad Hatter

Can you take off your disguise
Will they think you unwise
Not to continue your "happy" lie
Can they withstand the agony and sorrow in your eyes

If you do, and they can't
There will be no need to feel bad and rant

For when you drop your mask you'll find
You simply had friends of the wrong kind
Then you can leave the others far behind
As new friends start to unwind
