I know two kinds of people
There are those who make a frame for themselves
One beautiful and exquisite
And then inside they stay in it
And those who chose to say
Not only am I art but so is everything around me
And my job is discovery

“namaste” she says- as he holds a gun
her words a whisper, to cold blue eyes
but his hand shakes- she has almost won.

the sand is dry and the sky is only sun
it’s quiet – the wind begins its sighs
“namaste” she says – as he holds a gun.

the woman is hidden in black, like nun
the bodies pile ‘round her – rotting – covered in flies
but his hand shakes – she has almost won.

her beautiful onyx hair, forced into a bun
his composure falters, his eyes turn soft, ruining his disguise
“namaste” she says- as he holds a gun.

he curses the sky and sinks to the ground hoping to be numb
he’s become a monster- a killer- one who terrifies
but his hand shakes – she has almost won.

she stands up, gets ready to run
but then puts out her hand- to somehow
sympathize

“namaste” she says- as he holds a gun
but his hand shakes- she has almost won.

Differences
Are but blemishes on the surface
Of safety, comfort, love and strength
But blemishes hurt like hell.
A guy who hates cussing with a girl with turrets
A girl with ocd with a guy who's a mess
A guy who likes to wing it with a girl with a schedule
A girl who wakes up early with a guy that sleeps without rule
They're too different to remain together
But maybe they'll be perfect for each other

you are a man of many colors;
i am a woman of none.

you shine bright;
i am dull hue.

you blend in with the sun;
i fade into the background.

i float down the river
to the other seemingly grey
bodies of despair.

you stay on land,
grouping with other rays of light
and you all share stories of good times --
which are those times you aren't with us.

we cannot blame you.
we hardly even like each other.

we're as different as night and day,
black and white;
hot and cold.

i just wish our differences
could have kept us at peace,
instead of stripping us down
until we were cracked
and shattered bones
trying to find the glue
that held us together
in the first place.
i've written sooo much like this before.... but i guess being repetitive is better than not writing at all?

There are infinite reactions.
So many that it clouds the mind in ways.
Not depicted in myths and lore.
And fret over the loss of sight.
When our most powerful telescope.
Only perceives a fraction of its vastness.
There are rules and guidelines to follow.
Yet even these are given room to manipulate.
The species greatest asset is choice..
And in just as many ways is also it's bane.
Groups and squads are formed by likeness.
Then set out to erase change.
As if remaining stagnant was progress.
Even when the battlefield reeks of regret churned in blood does one find solace.
For after the rage dissipates.
Fear rises from the reverse graveyard with the sun.
Sometimes.
It's better to leave things unseen.
And unspoken.
Praise be to the righteous man.

You are my sisters, my neighbors,
my lovers, my friends,
my brothers my cousins,
on whom all depends,
my fathers, my girls, my homies-
my men,

An I'm here to celebrate that fact,
if only society to partake in this pact,

We all share our blood-
by our will - or by chance,
we are connected like dots,
in an eternal dance,

Next time you are feeling,
all ugly and angry-
imagine that lady your Mother,
or maybe the homeless guy,
down on the corner-
imagine that he is your brother,

Would you walk by,
an never look down?

Would you say hi,
yo- what's with the frown?

Or just keep on walking,
just straight into town,

To end with the cry,
HEY just turn around!!!

Right here is a hand -
an I'll help - if I can,
I know it's all part,
of some great master plan,

You know-
between us and the universe-

An don't worry WE got you.

Just more of the same ...ugh...

I must have been raised wrong,
I believe in being generous.
I think people should be loved;
That meanness can be onerous.
I have seen what evil does
And I want no more of that.
I don’t think that selfishness
Will really feed the captain’s cat.

I have watched back biters
And gossips and thieves
Bring themselves all unawares
To the point where everyone grieves.
I have witnessed liars who get
Tripped up on their own tales;
Regular folks and politicians
Get the air taken from their sails.

I know well that our elderly
Have already done their job
So it’s fine with me if they just
Sit around and act like slobs.
They took care of us when we
Were the indolent folks kids are
So, they are entitled to rest,
More than we are, by far.

I was raised to let people be
If they had some philosophy
That did not match mine
Or even the vast majority.
Someone thinks a different way
That’s fine if it hurts no one.
Not everybody thinks the same
Carnival rides are that much fun.

I saw for myself that people
Were individual in so many ways.
Different in how they dressed
And what they had to say.
Some liked sports TV
And many preferred the soaps.
All of that is fine with me
So, why call each other dopes?

Is there something wrong with me
That I don’t go along with the crowd?
That I don’t enjoy the fights,
The sports fans shouting out loud?
Am I silly for not slowing down
When I pass a wreck on the highway?
Well, if I am, then that is fine.
I will go on doing things my way.

Weaknesses are so powerful,
They show the flaws of strength
Man in all his wisdom and evolution
Fails to comprehend simple nature

We have drawn from nature
Suckled upon its left breast
Toyed with the right one
We have seen but half its light

Dogs bark, Alsatian ones, Bull ones, Wolfhound ones , Greyhound ones and all sorts, black ones, grey ones, yellow ones, white ones, they all have at least one thing in common, they bark. Everyone sees them and calls them a dog, they love the variety, they may have preference but are mostly cared for equally.

Trees stand, some short, some tall, some fat, some thin, they sometimes dance to the rhythm of the wind, some have leaves, some don't , some shed, some don't , some have fruits , some don't , they are all trees, nobody despises a tree because of it's bark, different tree barks could make useful herbs and other useful materials. people love different trees, they even make good shades in scorching summer.

In the human sphere, we have all sorts, tall, short, fat , thin and in beautiful colors- with all other variegated features but what we see is what we do not have in common: culture, religion, color... difference. Where there is no difference, we fabricate it, we fabricate inferiority and superiority, we create deplorable history, lies, we create vain interests and fight unjustly to fulfill them.
