Stepped outside the door
Day waiting to tell me "Hi"
The blue sky smiling
I wish my smile was as big as the sky's

the analogies i've long written
for you that are not known
you read from a different author
like a seed that i've not sown

castles that have long crumbled
you built again for someone new
but the paradise that ive conceived
has always been for you

Silent stars reside
In the blue milieu
Continuing their stellar constancy by day.
They are there like my love,
silent, unpretentious, patient and kind.

Trace your finger along the sky, connecting the dots of your name to a safe, congenial and forgiving place to call home. Maybe your name will meet with mine in the night when the stars return, walking across the expanse of loving kindness that is within your reach.

See you tonight dearest one. Just look up.

jagged cliffs jut down into a gully
occupied by a roaring river

alabaster crests of foam
form from the friction
of flowing water
against mossy rocks
scattered along its riverbed

in reverence I stand
a mote by comparison
as the crimson breaks across the sky

at the furthest
                        reach from me,

somewhere on the other side
                        of these lucid hills,

a box of sun has been
                        opened,

cut into manageable
                        pieces,

and given to all the young
                        dreaming denizens,

to blow with all
                         they have

inside their strong little
                         lungs--
                                    up,
                                          up,
                                                upward
into the sky,

circulating light
until it dawns as us all.

Is it too late?
To return to a time with you around
Is it too late?
To mend what’s been broken before

If I could turn back time
I’d feel your soft skin against mine
And watch the stars shine
Under our favorite spot
Your attention was the best part
And now it’s gone
Like the Sun at night
You’re nowhere to be found
And there’s nothing I can do about that

This day, it shall remain
In my mind, not all details shall stay
For today, this is what I have to gain;
The day

Peace, I long for you
Peace, shall I have you?
Come to me and stay,
Even just for this one, mere day

Hath it been too soon that I seek you?
Hath it been a dawn too early,
Or a greater length than that?

Whisper to me, my darling day
For this day, I yearn for it to yield and say;
Rest, my dear, you haven't a thing to fear
Rest, my dear, rest your weary head here.

I seek this day, this day of peace. Can it be this day, a day for peace?

It’s funny how sometimes
A month can feel like a day
And a day can drag on
Like a month
