The way her face crumples together,
and her eyes turn red,
as if her entire world is falling apart
makes me feel sorry for her.
I reach out to comfort her,
but my hand touches the mirror
and won't pass through.

I make you smile but I don't make you laugh.
I make you sing but the lyrics aren't for me.
I watch you dance but your eyes don't focus on me.
My evening thoughts are all about you but yours aren't about me.
I like you as a lover but you like me as a friend.

But all those things are okay with me. But when I told you that I loved you, and you said "I'm sorry but I don't love you."

It broke my heart.
Funny thing is, I still love you with all the shattered pieces.

There's no question
we were made to break

but are we to shatter
in a shower of sparks

or may we fall apart slowly
after having loved a lifetime.

It's been too long since I last kissed you
The last time was really something new
Who would’ve ever knew
Something so real and so true

And I remember how you tasted
The taste of salt on your skin when we were naked
The taste of passion as we devoured each others faces
I tasted love that night and no it wasn’t wasted

But now the weeks gone bye
For some a quick blink of the eye
Why am I trapped in the sands of time
Thinking of our time together every hour not gonna lie

Baby it’s been too long since I last kissed you
And when I see you it’s the best view
I know you miss me too
Cause when we’re together that’s our best mood

I wanna hear you shout my name
The way you say it doesn’t sound the same
I hear the sound of someone who’s not ashamed
The sound of our hearts as we exclaim

Now it’s almost Sunday
We’ll probably meet at the café
Not long until we make it back to my place
I mean what more can I say

It’s been way too long since I last kissed you. ;)

You can cut off my hands
and I will feel less pain.
You can stab my heart

There is no pain like
losing someone you love.
Knowing time is short
and it is never enough.
My heart is lost without you,
not a beat, not a flip,
and everyday you will be
the one I will truly miss.

Reaching out without an answer
what have you done to our mansion?
peeling paper, burnt from arson
bricks are falling, walls seem ancient

I'm trying not to hear the rumble
as the roof turns into crumble
ash is falling from the mantle
what happened to once pretty castle?

Clinging on to little vase
I might save it from the break
house is wailing in the pain
on my face I feel the rain

Once - the happy memories and dreams of renovation
turned in ruins, flames and dust and fear of relocation
have to roam around the town or all across the nation
to gather all my strength and guts to face the revelation

Even as I walk I hear the rocks hitting the pavement
blocks that stood there once so proud, now shaking the basement
I stand back and watch the scene with bitter amazement
as it takes away with it my chance of warm embraces

Miles may keep you apart,
But love has no range.
Someday you'll be together,
Someday things will change.
Miles cannot separate,
Two hearts that really care.
How lucky you are to have each other,
Even though this distance is not fair.
But distance means so little,
When someone means so much.
Missing them is unbearable,
Just waiting for their touch.
It certainly won't be easy,
But it will be worthwhile.
Some people will not understand,
They can't see past each mile.
As a couple you are just waiting,
For your life together to begin.
It's just the two of you vs distance,
And the distance will not win.
