This poem marks my wishes that
I want in this New Year.
2017 is now a closed chapter,
and I hope to leave all the misfortune behind.
So I pray

That this year, I will be blessed with happiness
and stability for everyone; my three families.
My friends, my blood, and HelloPoetry...

This year, I will be able to hone my craft
and have to confidence to go
after my dreams.

And finally,
I pray that my mother remains in good health.
Let me not worry about her all the time.

2017 has been a year of heavy burdens.
Where I felt like I couldn't handle anything.
I know there is no end to our burdens, so
I ask for you to broaden my shoulders
So I can bear the burdens
and grasp my blessings.
2017 was messed up. I swear alot of things happened where I felt so overwhelmed that there were times where I cried so hard and I wanted to fade away.
I hope that 2018 will be a better year, for me and for everyone else.
Happy New Year, HelloPoetry!

Obey no one
but the call of
your inner most self
and walk barefoot
upon the Earth

like you were meant to

before modern man
became portfolios
diversifying arrogance
instead of his head

No one looks you
in the eye anymore

connoisseurs of rude

Walk forward now
and don't look back

Dodge bullets
with a smile as your
secret weapon

And laugh with
the best them

Making good as pretty
as you go...
Happy New Year in 2018! Remember integrity will be rewarded in this year the year of the Dog according to the Chinese Zodiac.

in between the ending
and this new beginning
lies an infinity of unknown
afraid maybe, but still
brave enough to take chances
say goodbye to all the “what ifs”
make a step, cast all doubts

my yearly mantra: no more resolutions, just start making actions..
Happy New Year everyone

New Year New me,
Well darling, I beg to not agree
I mean, five years down the line
And this "change" shows no sign
Spending nights drinking and drank texting
Telling us how the new you is 'loading"
To you holidays is time to waste yourself
Convincing yourself that January is time to find yourself
You are the only one being fooled here darling
The demons of all your past years are still staring
You think you closed the door
Forgetting wide open is the window
Self honesty is key
If it is to be, let it be
I'm pretty sure its not only me who shares these sentiments
This is the one year I chose to not make a resolution, I don't need a new year to change me.It's a personal project. Join me in smiling more, loving more, being cautious and just being the best us. Hello Poetry, Hello Success. Have a lovely Year

i like that we're loud
despite all the noise complaints
and weird looks in the early mornings

when we drag ourselves to breakfast down the road
when we drag ourselves in from the freezing cold
or blistering heat

i like that we never leave a location singularly
that we're one large support group
that we're a hive

i like that we're powerful
when one of us hurts
it becomes everyone else's pain too

i like that we have each other no matter what
we don't let each other fall
we never let go

i don't think i'll ever let this go

Oh,

you ghost so well--
& when the ball drops
so does parts of anguish

Gone is her salt/water
Gone is your sting of cuts

Yet,
not the memory of you

Your digital ghost
somehow lingers
I can't just write happy stuff, I dunno, man. Catch me on a better day when there's no champagne, whisky, or remnants of *** in my system.
Went to a rave
under The Quincy,
With an urban campfire
going
and an ambitious young selecta'
playing danceable tunes from her decks,
A can in my hand, warcoat on my back, among
friends;
Down by the riverside
we were all under
the one bridge
raving.
Grand portents
for this coming year.

Bring it
Let everything be in its prestine condition
Hold on to your ambition
2017 has already ended
But don't worry my friend
Here is a new year
A new beginning for us all
No need to fear
Because God will hear your call
So let us welcome 2018
And it will be good to us all
Here is a new year to reaching our dreams and leaving the bitterness of the past year.
*HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLKS
Greetings to you all!! :*

Cultivating jealousy next to a gay man
Not for everyone
But just right for some

Tons of gossip
Lots of lip
Twisting of tongues

I the square of reality
Phone in hand
Stella at the ready

Fitness girl texted me
Says she is sick
Possibly dying

I don't care
She is number three
Or four

I offer a drink
Celebratory waffles
But to no avail

Church was given
I needed the sin
And received a gun

It had my name on it
With a wet rose
The color solid gold

The texture was cheap
Made in China
Sold to a sucker

I sit spinning and wondering
A question is asked
Does 2018 seem like a refresher?

My reply
In a solemn voice, wicked glance
Hell no
