Dear Mother Earth
Dear Mother Earth
We've done a job on your place
God won't be too happy
When he revisits the place

He'll be asking a question or two
As to why we did of you *****
He'll never forgive us for the mess we've made
Human kind won't escape his tirade

Dear Mother Earth
God created you with care in mind
But the inhabitants on your surface
Have not been too kind

We've stuffed up your orb
Which shall not please God at all
As he left you in our keeping
Until he again makes a call

Hell
the American taxpayers
have become weary
their dollars been spent
on vast amounts of weaponry

it's fired
at the President's behest
and the people
would like it to be put to rest

the military budget
has been well over spent
and the taxpayers
have little for their own rent

America has played the world's policeman
for too long
and the citizenry
want a change to the song

if perchance America
 lobs a missile into Syria
the American people
shall be in mass hysteria

an alliance from Russia and China
may use a missile as well
then the taxpayers of America
will be unforgiving of their President's hell

A Wand of Disappearances
a wand of disappearances
operate in our very
midst
who is the conductor
of its vanishing
gist?

where once our fellow
poets did pleasantly
reside
now the wicked wand
has eradicated their
bide

numerous blank spaces
symbolize the conductor's
vice
employing a wand which
has emptied the
rice

black the hour
black the day
a black instrument
whisking them all too
suddenly away
a wand so dark
of intent
wanting to wane
our writers tent

the subtracting conductor
will be planning future
disappearances
so be mindful of its
wand's unsolicited
clearances
Up until three days ago, poet Rye Sing was actively contributing and commenting on the Hello Poetry site.  I find it most strange that he/she has just disappeared into thin air.

The King's Realm
fair maidens and harlots alike
all were hopeful that the king
would preference their riding bike

the regent didn't much care
where he could place his stick
of it he'd so liberally share

his queen sat crying on her throne
wondering where the sovereign
was pointing his starched bone

after twenty years the ruler's realm
fell into a state of feminine war
all wanting to be his main helm

the appendage with wilt did flag
******* finishing off its stroke
in an undesirable drooping sag
all of our politicians are a pox on society
these self important people are the lowest of the low
governing for themselves is their number one priority
telling porkies is the way their empty rhetoric flows

it's our misfortune to have so many of them in our halls of power
we're paying them a fortune for mishandling government biz
and not a one of them is worth a left of right bower
they should be thrown out of our parliaments and into a tizz

we're heartily sick of the ****** lot of them
and they do so leave us with a feeling of utter contempt
not to forget our coughs spits and heaps of phlegm
we so wish that they were from our taxes exempt

if only we could do without these mongrel lot
our countries would most assuredly be less on the ill side
they have a reputation as bad as a pesky horse fly blot
and we'll be only to happy to toss them all well aside

moaning and whinging wont relieve our constant pain
we've got to take things well and truly into our owns hands
we cannot endure anymore of their burdensome strain
government benches would be better off were they to be rid of these bands

acquiring a pesticide to finish them off is one of my notions
then we can relax knowing that they'll no longer blight us
these thoughts are just me musing on a few suggestions
I'll leave you all to ruminate on this poetic piece thus

Won A Pile
I'm expecting a telephone call
within the next few days
and the person on the other end
shall tell me I've had a humongous pay

the other afternoon I took a lottery ticket
which will hopefully mean
that for the rest of my days
I'll be on a good wicket

I'm sure the numbers
I've so studiously selected
are marked
she'll be in for a collect

I'm sitting by the phone
ready to smile
once the lottery official
tells me I've won a pile
if an incident is happening somewhere
you can be assured that the CIA are there
they have an extensive network all over the planet
embedding themselves in sands and in granite

a news item we'll hear sometime to-day
telling of violence and all sorts of divisive play
we'll be disturbed and so we should be
the CIA working unchecked and ever so free

read the literature that is online for sighting
and you'll discover that the CIA organization is somewhat blighting
the planets population should be fully aware
that operatives from the CIA are lurking everywhere

Winn, My American Pal
a wonderful poetess friend
I did happen upon
she has a welcoming heart
ever to don

twas fated that we became
the very best of sisterly mates
there's such a genuine nature
in her soul's sates

I speak
of a true
confidante
one who
I implicitly
trust
I speak
of a true
treasure
with qualities
that are a
must

dear Winn is an awesome
kind of gal
and I'm so thrilled having her
as my American pal
she
is cold
we can feel
her winter breath
she chills our napes
with her gelid icy hand
we take to our warming hearths
to shelter from her frostiness
she has no charity nor any compassion
how baleful her season of bitterness

Knocking On My Door
I was looking for love
looking for a long time
I was looking for love
looking for a long time

I found the love I was looking for
He just happened to be knocking on my door
His job as an investigator
Bought him to my door

He asked a few questions
about my stolen garden gnome
Which had unexpectedly
fled from the back of my home

We conferred on the matter
of the robbery
And I could see in his eyes
that he was falling for me
The direction of our chat
changed rather rapidly
The air had the feeling
of sweet harmony

I found the love I was looking for

Blame
blame can be apportioned
on the landlord's back
a cladding of inferior quality
wrapped his building's stack

flames quickly engulfed
all the floor levels
tenants were trapped on
such unsafe bevels

what chance did they stand
in getting out of the tower
a cheap Chinese covering
encasing their bower

deaths were assured
by faulty material
much loved ones lives
seemingly immaterial

construction standards
perished with the smoke
slack council regulations
a legislative choke
one hankers for summer's return
to again feel a warmer burn
the balmy touch shall so elate
basking in the sun's genial sate

oh depart gelid winter song
you've tarried around far too long
come back one's most favoured mate
basking in the sun's genial sate

in time one's yearing shall subside
on a change to the season's tide
one awaits until that choice date

if the Broncos are to win this Friday
night
the intensity of their play must be
right
they'll need full commitment in the
fight
half measures won't cut a victory's
light

the Storm never give an inch on the
field
that why they've held football's top
shield
they keep the pressure on and don't
yield
each member of the team up to the job's
wield

possession of the ball determining the
game
any player slackening off will bear
blame
the premiership's battle is there to
tame
so we'll see a dour contest that's not
lame

less than forty hours to go before the rivals
meet
where footy fans shall experience quite a
treat
the ref's whistle calling upon the vying
beat
there'll be fireworks and no team going into
retreat
Unfortunately the Broncos weren't successful in winning the preliminary final. The Storm defeated them,  30 points to nil.

Incident
an incident took place
just yesterday
one met a troll
at the site's hostile bay
its verbalization was not
of pleasant greeting
some rather pointed
things said at the meeting

firstly it conveyed
the B---- term
on hearing that term
one did squirm
thence it proceeded
to tell one
in no uncertain terms
one should be turned
out to pasture
midst all the slugs
and worms

well its form of address
did of one not overly impress
and may one place on the record
one felt that one's
hot button got a press

trolling maybe amusing
for a troll
yet one didn't delight in its
unnecessary patrol

the trenchant troll
needs a fulltime occupation
which is more useful
to the writing population

Rumor
a rumor is circulating in gardening circles
 on the continent of England
the said rumor has traveled along a long vine
to the down under land

we the vegetable growers of Brisbane
are very disturbed by what we've heard
to us the rumor sounds rather absurd

we've taken it upon ourselves
to send a letter to the British Garden Society
asking them if the rumor has any propriety

sometimes a story
can be misrepresented
especially when the details of it
aren't correctly presented
we're seeking clarification
from those who have the right oil
as to whether the rumor
has any truth in the soil

this is the rumor that is doing the rounds
and it relates to the High Grove grounds
a Yorkshire man who was sight seeing there
has said that he saw Charles the regal heir
talking to the garden slugs and snails
whilst walking amid the lettuce and kale
we know that his highness loves chatting to the trees
and has often spoken to the earthworms and bees
we're totally dumbfounded to hear
of him talking to garden pests
and we're hoping of this behavior
the Prince will soon divest

the truck that delivers

earlier this morning had
a major break down
something went wrong
with the truck's gear box
and as a consequence
we'll have to get
our news off Fox

as leafing through
the paper at lunch

put in by the buying and selling bunch
here in the bush
we do so like

of all the local brag
but unfortunately
it didn't arrive in town to-day
would seem the news
wont be heading our way
it is so disappointing
to have to watch those stooges
reading the bulletin on the telly
their delivery gives us
an almighty pain in the belly
hopefully the truck
will be back on the road by Wednesday
for not having a newspaper
fills us with dismay
with the extreme heat
persisting for far too long
crops expired fast
rains came much too late to quench
the thirst of the fading crops

have you ever noticed
how antiquated plants
become so root bound
and prove to be difficult
to remove from the ground

their roots settle so closely
and they wish not to be
set free unto liberty

releasing them from this tightly matted state
would enable other root systems to congregate

but alas they never
untangle
and ultimately
the roots
will of each other
strangle
My sister who is an avid gardener, has had trouble getting her root bound plants out of their pots.
