hey guys
 Apr 2020 Beatrice
Evie
ive decided this is my official coming back.

i missed all of you.

im currently quarantined with my extremely toxic family and its a struggle to stay sane and mentally healthy.

i need somewhere to vent and somewhere to feel the support of others and in that process i want to support all of you and read your poems and gain knowledge about your experiences.

thank you for being such a lovely little community, and a safe haven for people wanting to put their work out into the world.
hello :)
The streets are bare as
the cherry blossoms still bloom.
Life will carry on.

A walk in the woods
will still be enjoyable,
while six feet apart.

Slow down and observe
the beat of nature, for it
is good for the soul.
Three Haikus I wrote because I was inspired during these crazy times

Silky smooth sunshine
Curving round curling bamboo canes,
Cranes perching, peaking inside.
Pink pig-tail trailing of a sunset sky
The still waters of the storms eye
Spies the sweet flickering of bamboo leaves tickling the solemn nod,
Of days’
Silent slide.

We were confined, and, yet the earth was free;
we had stopped, and, the earth had spun -
the rivers ran blue, the mountains stood tall;
the air crisp, as though it was brand new;
for once, the earth did not mourn.
BUT
our souls were crying;
our families dying.
Nature had run its course - a course not smooth,
but in time we will heal, sore not sooth;
And maybe one day, we can be free with the earth -
A new adventure, new happiness and new birth.

My cries for help

Have been ignored,

I don't think I have the strength

To scream anymore.

The Restriction of Movement was extended for another 14 days.

Another 14 days to overthink this existence.

Mother hen-
Lead the way
Tell me when-
And where to stay.

I need a guide-
Through my life
A place to hide-
No more strife

Mother hen-
I'm sorry I lied
Fault of men-
I just can't cry.
Well heck. This is one of only a few poems that got me  to feel a lot of emotions.

Day
The light drips
As night engulfed the day
Slowly fading, receding away
And my will goes with
The bleeding day
Night falls like shadows play
And darkness comes to stay
To hide my tears
From the day
