Touch as the fervent feeling seek to know the ambiguity of it,
Feel as the ****** of a sparrow wing crept upon my dreams,
Fathom as the grief of rocks shrieked on deserted mountains,

And the Sky was blue
Touched by a Crescent Moon
Unraveling the hidden truth
How life was promised to me and you

Awe as landscapes vanished from distant perplexing shores,
Sigh as Long ships sailed on white ashes coasting inherently,
Fright as the voluptuous sights, faking wonders in my night,

And the Sky was blue
mellifluously My Heart as to see
a magnificent feeling to be free
the beauty relentless, endlessly weave

Pray as the growing wind whisper, a phrase to forever keep,
Kneel as crowds offered Him, a gratitude of rejoicing praise,
Trust as dandelions glides, the strength of His binding faith,

And the Sky was blue
for God is forever faithful & true
to broken lives, he one's renew
Keeping his promise to come again soon

Awake as the daybreak reveal, memories of our love revisit,
Sing as angels on white veil’s, bring you to heaven's place,
Gone is the world I once knew, eyes closing as my soul flew,

Amen...
HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY..

From the helter skelter
In a helter skelter dash
For solitude at the esker
I strayed in a labyrinth
Of dark soaring woods

Here-upon, trees begun to move!
An optical illusion it seemed to be,
Though a moment my eyes did love;
But in a mean time, out of kilter
Was the avenue to the esker.

Wandering midst soaring woods
Serendipitously there I beheld
An elegant creature,
A creature with a velvety
Pale unblemished skin,
Lilly white as porcelain,
Gaily yet opalescent as an opal,
With curling glossy auburn hair,
Mellifluously whispering a lullaby
With verve in the wanton air
Whilst flapping her wings
To take wing.

On feasting about her impeccable face,
It thus dawned upon me:
"She was not of this our world
But an alien, an angel rom outer space."

Swiftly, I gravitated towards her
And unto her said I was lost,
Lost like leaves beneath the frost
Upon my way for solitude at the esker
However the sheer cynosure
She'd taken my fancy
Hence moonstruck for sure.

She gagged me, cwtched me,
Enveloped me in her wings
And merrily took wing
Whilst I gallantly kissed,
Kissed her nectar kisser.

Past mullbery skies we soared,
All the way unto her land of bliss
Where upon we swam naked,
Naked in halcyon waters,
Waters of her land.

Together, we made poetry
Of love and life so blind,
Cherishing moment after moment
One could search forever to find,

Whilst gallivanting from star to star,
Only alone by ourselves on yonder
To a very distant colourful clime,
Yonder beyond restrictions of time.

If my bed was bigger would you have laid with me
Will you excuse the squeeze in the place of comfortability
Our bodies close, replace our blankets with the heat
flowing, mellifluously reverberating, from within

My heavy mind, spiralling in self abhor
Dawdles on a pillow, simpering with decay
Solace I discovered in your arms instead, taming the uproar
The bane of your predicament, your spirits sway

The twilight of distraught tickles the hairs on my arms
But now comes the noon of melancholia.
My Ivy legs cripples your limbs, the bruises I see- constellations
Contradictory you lament, the cries a synergy of appoggiatura

A long time ago, you asked for my hand
Belittling the shards in my bossoms
Dismissing my remonstrance; to Hell with it
“I can bear it, I know I can.”

But you couldn’t. No, you wouldn’t
Your body has began to gnaw
The dilapidated bed creaks, your temper peaks
“I’m out, loving you isn’t the law.”
'Twas in the eventide of June
Whilst he didst lay in a pit of despair
When a lass fair as a silvery moon
Stately sailed his way as a zephyr
Yet majestically as drops of dew
Rollin' upon boughs of emerald fair.

Heaven's ever fair golden eye
Had sprinkled her very last ray
To pave way unto night maidens
That evermore bedight heaven's bay
With luster that in perpetuum gladdens
Naked eyes in a way i canst not say.

Radiant hope in his eyes shone bright
To potter beside a beauty queen
Whose eyes thrice brighter than light
Fair like as sails of diamond hewn,
Opalescent as robes of Sirius in the night
Whilst decamping at the fall of dawn.

Euphonious lullabies into her ear
Mellifluously he didst sing and sing,
For her to know she's all he did revere.
A fair diadem unto her he did bring,
For her to forevermore hold it dear
Queen unto him she's, and him her King.

But yonder stars in lone splendor
Coveted him and the beauty queen,
For her effulgence surpassed their luster
That as passes a fiend with eyes unseen
When the wind is hushed into slumber,
So did spy upon 'em with eyes keen.

Alas! As we all know naught lasts forever,
The looming veils of night began to vade
Whilst stars in a splendiferous cluster
Upon celestial shores coyly didst wend;
And his visage grew pale by dawns luster,
For far off with his queen they'd eloped.

A tranquil silence presides as night arrives and the moon begins to shine
Wolves stand upon rocks in their thick grey locks and howl at twelve o’ clock
An immutable drip from the precipitation slips and splashes upon a surface
as does a tear that gracefully falls from the face with a purpose.
Leaves occasionally rustle amongst themselves and the grass giggles
The margins of my brain begin to echo eerily to the rhythm of nothing,
like an acappella that is performed by a tone deaf woodpecker with no beak.
Stargazer’s eyes become mystified as they stare at the sleeping sky
watching the sea of stars twinkle to the beat of dead space.
Crickets crick a hook like they are stuck on one being used as fishing bait
A streaming river in the distance whistles a soothing, harmonious lull,
and the biting wind whispers mellifluously just like a flute
As closed eyes listen to an orchestra perform like that of a church,
and midnight is when the service begins.
Sounds of an orchestra at night.

Melodious tides serenade along a foam dipped coast line,
we drift as a single composed symphony,
seduced by a pounding surf, its sensuous rhythm pulsates
flooding our hearts, aching to collide
in the tempo of a lone torrent’s embrace

Scorching August passions seize the moonlit sand,
palm tree shadows dance atop sultry weathered dunes
of lemongrass and saw palmetto,
on saltwater breezes moaning our names, mellifluously
from a distant cantata's horizon

Warm dark *** skin intoxicates, I stagger,
lost in hypnotic topaz eyes, reflective pleadings
of deeper desires sought, fingertips probe sun softened locks,
nightshade tresses, mingling with a rippled surf
as stardust illumines moist swollen lips, parted

Harmonic waves wash atop entwined silhouettes
nearing a crescendo, a pinnacle of pleasure,
where secrets are revealed in half swallowed sighs
on this coastal haven when voices sing in
throaty whispers of impassioned ecstasy

Now as heated breaths hover beneath the moon’s glowing stare
we too build and recede, feeding our amorous desires
as the fading night relinquishes its hold and dawn cracks the sky
Our tide becomes one, our union remains unbroken,
our love, eternally bound by the melody of the sea

Oh, how strange the day
That casts a shadow on my grave
That I have dug in wickedness
Through the flesh I have praised

I've found the woe in all of this
Yet in darkness I bathe my bones
While I chain my neck to sins
I stubbornly refuse to turn against

Like a sweet apple from a tree
I lust for the succulent taste
Of a fleeting happiness of addiction
That grasps my veins like ******

I've bonded myself to all the lies
That I  have whispered to my soul
Each night as I stared into the stars
And drifted to the hell inside my mind

But in this place I found an angel
That defended the death I claimed
And I, like the vulnerable sheep
Drank the words of all she said

Like a glutinous fool I was quenched
Until the morning came again
And I woke upon the driest desert
My soul shriveled to nothingness

Yet I find somewhere within my spirit
To fight against every ounce of me
That keeps running to false desires
In hopes to find the freedom I yearn

I plead to be crippled from head to toe
To fall on my knees for eternity
Until I'm bruised and broken
And my heart can breathe again

When my lungs are filled with joy
That sings mellifluously throughout
And my eyes burn with passion
Ignited by the purest of light

And like an earthquake on land
May my spirit be shaken violently
Until the day I'm alive again
Where my mind will blossom

Like a field of flowers in the spring
Where the birds hum their beauty
And my thoughts are silenced
While my flesh dances like the bees

Oh, how beautiful this day will be
When winter is quelled by the sun
And every life is flourishing
In the Truth that we all had lost
She & he & she spoke mellifluously.
Over prolonged seconds of wasted moments,
he planted a daisy in his youthful garden
as each day progressed which marked
a patient reminder of his love for her.
On one dollorous scarified day,
she screamed whispers and banter
and everything gory at the pinnacle of her lungs,
which admonished and ripped every daisy
by the root from his secret garden of adoration.
Of her.
All that was left was nothingness.

She & he & she spoke mellifluously.
She proclaimed her love for him over strained vocal chords.
And the one neglected daisy that was left in the wreckage and toil remained alive.
That's what his love was.
A singular heartbeat that still beat for her,
A ventricle of his heart where
he kept the locket which tell the stories
of their memories together & her.
Alive.

the air is heavy tonight
and my heart is an anchor
kissing the feet of my soul
while my lungs begin to swell
beneath the sea of my mind

as the music rings in my ear
mellifluously lingering
reminding me of all the fish
that swim within my spirit
and feed upon my bones

my hands tremor softly
while my skin begins to ripple
as my blood starts to rush
my pulse like an african drum
causing my thoughts to dance

I sink into my bodies’ motion
like a rock thrown into a river
but I sway like a leaf falling
in a somber mid october day

the sounds embrace my head
and as I come back to reality
I see the hell I’ve known
But I see the sun in the moon
and hope to love once again
was it love, or was I just a sinking ship?

Now When It Comes...
To Poetry That I’ve Written...

It’s Written With A Rhythm...
That Deals In Exorcisms...
That Expose REALISM... !!!

NOT Just Within My Thinking...
But About Things In Our Vision...

A Talent That’s God Given... !!!

So Remember Folks...
My Verse Is Meant...
To Be Expressed...
In Ways That Flow...

So When You Read...
Read It... RHYTHMICALLY... !!!

Because Then You’ll See...
How... MELLIFLUOUSLY...
It Flows RHYTHMICALLY...

And Should Really Sound Neat...
Just Like A Sweet Symphony... !!!

of Spoken Words...
And Poetic Verse...
That... When It’s Heard...
Should Sound Like Birds...

That Sound Rhythmically Complete...
When They Choose To Tweet...
Harmonically And Beautifully... !!!

In The Morning Time...
When They See Sunshine...

It’s A Rhythmic Vibe...
With Which I Write...
Just Like Dark Knights...
Whose Rhythm Fights...
To... DENY Crimes...
Like Poetic Lines..
I Write About Life...
That CAN’T Be DENIED... !!!

Because They REFLECT.............

The Rhythms of STRESS...
Fed By Governments...
That Have Led To Protests...
... Time And Again... !!!

So Their Rhythm Defends...
Avoiding Pretence...
And The Ignorance...
That Now Has Spread...
To World Continents... !!!

By Those Known As FEDS’...
Whose Rhythm Now Tends...
To Plague Like Black Death...

Did You Catch What I Said... ?

Plague Like BLACK DEATH... !!!

Because That’s A Line...
With A Rhythm That Finds...
... Historical Ties...
To The Loss of Life... !!!

Because of Things That Left A Sting...
Like Muhammad In The Ring... !!!

Can You Hear The Ding Ding...
I’m Just... JOKING...

But It Is... NO JOKE... !!!

The Way That My Words Flow...
And... RHYTHMICALLY Show...
That The Way That I Write...
When Recited... RIGHT...
SYNERGISES With Bass Lines... !!!

Even When They’re Recorded...
At... DIFFERENT Times... !!!

Cos I’m A Spoken Word Guy...
Whose Mind Is The Kind...
With A Rhythm That Finds...

Varieties... That RHYTHMICALLY... !!!
Let My Poetry Breathe...
Through Spoken Word Speech...
That Flows EASILY...
So Is Cool To Read... !!!

It’s A Writing Technique...
That’s Used By Emcees...

Who Use Rhythms To Show...
How Their Use of Words Flow...
When It Comes To Live Shows...
Where Their Vocals EXPLODE...
With... Bass Lines In Tow... !!!

While Mine Are The Type...
To... STAND ALONE... !!!

Because My Vocal Tones...
Require... NO Notes...

To SHATTER Mind Zones...
With Rhythmic Quotes...
That Whether Written Or Read...
Are Rhythmically Bred...
To Garner Respect...
From The Type of Poets...

Who Are Now Impressed...
By My Writing Talents... !!!

And The Rhythm With Which...
I Connect My Lyrics...

That Many Now Deem...
To Be... EXQUISITE... !!!

Because They Sound CLEAN.....

When... VOCALLY...
My Spoken Word Speech...
Is Heard SONICALLY... !!!

Cos’ I’m A Rhythmic Breed...
... MOST DEFINITELY... !!!

So As I End...
This Piece of Lyricism...
Please DON'T FORGET...
That It’s Built For Spitting...
With Rhythmic PRECISION... !!!

And To Also Be... HEARD...

My poetic style, is all about writing, with a rhythm...
I do not know what it feels like to live in someone else’s dream.
Outside the house, the moon, like a mistress, slits its throat
and bleeds white. The nature of all things around me has its way
of heaving out the wrongness, as if a drunkard staggering for words,
floundering in a curt reply after being asked where’s the nearest station
towards nowhere. I remember in 4th grade, they asked me what I
wanted to do with my life. All I ever wanted was the same clichéd response,
without knowing the appropriate punishment the desire coming with it.
I am not culpable. I wanted to be a bird stirring in a plainsong: free.
Whatever that meant. In a room where cross-sections of you tender me
margins I cannot cross. When I was young, whenever my mother would
leave me for the marketplace, she told me to always lock the doors
and never let anybody inside. The sound of the gears resembled your hand
in mine when we held hands, securing each finger into place the way
the night tucked us to sleep. It is still something the unforgettable, with
its feigned urgency, its ersatz summer days indoors spent on nothing but
gibberish and luxuriously lounging at nothing, looking at blank spaces
as though they were naked women the first time and the last. In a place like
this that selfishly spires with thoughtless hum, it’s conversations with the smallest
details that cover such distance, revealing weight I cannot solder.
Freedom to me is as bizarre as any other feeling that pushes one person
over to the next one. I have its wobbling sense scattered all around like a crushed
scent of bougainvillea. What we have to give in exchange for it, and what we
are to acquire after trying to weave out denotations that would make us swill
over like muck over the city that we selfishly breathe in, and our almost
ridiculous misunderstanding of the word riddled with unsparing details.
I had myself mull over it, passing your decrepit house. Freedom,
the wind, or a bird, or anything unloosened like a waning volume from a stereo,
a readying tip of fire awakened ready to catch the corners of your fingers,
a basket of fruits in the morning from a remote bazaar, the peeled off and pared skin
of an orange, some November night that burnt auburn, anything that may take place
anytime in our hands – something that does not break in it, but holds still, waiting
to take place, forming names, sliding away from fingers. Freedom, to have a shadow
engraved on an architrave and a cornice, and to have your name in my heart
like a frieze ornamenting some entablature, or that long dream of striding past
the Metropolitan, knowing how erroneous it was to feel so immense at that cosmic moment
of sizable smallness: the perpetual dialogue between a host and a barfly,
mellifluously woven striking in sense, a farce raiding meaning all afternoon, like the close
eye of the Sun inspecting furniture, or your nosy neighbor taking time to stop watering the
plants and watch you dance from your window, to a music that he has no knowledge of,
but I do. I do. If it wasn’t plainsong, then I was wrong, writhing and alive
still, leaning in the air of a dream – free, wandering,
*wind,   passing of figures, clenched fingers, nothing.
The lake is so calm,
it blows softly through our hearts,
mellifluously.

Mellifluously I want one to bring me to stratum astronomy,
One addicted, and Fond of me, amorphous to whence our bindings are implored!!!!

I seek a hard working galore, a fantasy of children's Disney books, being two time crooks not caring for thine world around us.bond unshook!

None derogatory, or spiteful, a light at night pools that cover us in indulgence secretly whispered!!!
Increment's of lip splurs...

A renaissance of our two legs locking in between the patterned bricks, all for replenishing and the I love you's and I love yous back!!!

Our vocation to be made by ourn own tenet tout!!! No remorse, guilt nor doubt shall befall one another...
Rustic in our nudeness!!!

Saccharine I wish to find one to be, as our bodies will drop seed to grow another artist..prudence will be taken,
Engraved, our names on the oak close by!!

Two mystiques soo high off a love soo extreme!!!
Peripheries handling our own, no electronics and no phone needed in our own garden!!!

Magnanimous femme ,crosspathed sensai,
I'm still waiting and its one hand strike til noon!!!!

We were two weird birds of the same feathers.
One melancholy morning,
you decided to break my wings.
I reciprocated by
poking holes in your chest.
Our love felt mellifluously ephemeral.
Like our favorite memory in a distant yesterday.
We glide eloquently in elegance with no sense of direction.
As you stained my cloudy skies with a craving for disparage lust.
Thrown like ripples of a star
From a dreamer's somber shade,
I gazed about frisky birds afar
In coats of blue, gold and red,

And they sang: Sky maidens we,
That dost float on high forever
Atop vales, mountains and seas,
Forests, and many a lonely river,

Lets flap our gentle wings and wing
Yonder the land of lofty mountains,
Where dwelleth the mighty King
In halls bedight with silvern fountains

Beneath temples of burnished gold,
Where golden run nectar streams,
Where beauty by any bard yet to be told,
Where leaves dewed by fair sun beams;

In a realm where naught doth ever age,
Where song birds croon loveliest lullabies
In a realm where love is the language
Unto all that walketh – unto all that flies.

And from there we’ll fly nevermore
But mellifluously whisper a paean
To echo golden from shore to shore,
Beauteously through many an eon.

Not that i claimed to have really known u back then
cause even then i had not the slightest clue
but theres still something about u i tend to defend
..that simplistically complex creative beautiful truth
Enigmatic at many times,
but not frighten instead keen
 magnetic with my smile
some may even call it incomprehensible obscene
Fraudulent but fragile for i love and hate at once
mellifluously i beg for my own sanity My mind, my heart disputatious ...lacking complete clarity
Still i feel as though i knew me better then in comparison to now awe-inspiring,
and inexplicably My distorted distracted me is wowed
For ive come to realize i know me less today this person ive turned out to be...
nothing short of decay
...Contemptibly delighted to say is me
Light danced across the hardwood floor of her irises,
reflecting deep rays of brown, fire-painted oak wood into the
absorbing glass of his sea-foam green, windowframe eyes.
A now forgotten word was mellifluously sung;
curtains leaden with longing were reluctantly drawn.
The luminous sun then ceased to hang canvases of
oak and sea
on their abstractive walls,
diverging instead to displays murals of perspective
into the windowpanes of distant eyes.
Then, like black and white keys
being poignantly pressed by the fluency of fingertips,
the edges of their eloquent lips
began to touch

A memory flows
voices, mellifluous tones
carols, on Christmas

Skipping and humming
mellifluously, she continued
down the sidewalk
till I could no longer hear

The orchestra reached into my heart
touched my mind and very being
with mellifluous music

Maneuvering mellifluous whispers
directing me, breathy in my ear
sending me higher with excitement
extending me to my full potential

All I wanted was for the music
to remind me of you
not of my heartbreaks,
my pain, my doubts, my stupidity.

All I wanted was for the rhythm
to flow mellifluously along
the beat of my heart
as it synchs with yours.

All I wanted was for the beat
to move me along
just as how you did
when you first tugged my hand (and eventually, my heart)

All I wanted was for the notes
to make me think of your voice
just before we fall asleep
and immediately after we wake.

(Is it possible to lose the ear
for the tune of your favourite
song?)

All I wanted was for the pieces
to fit back to its jigsaw
where it (rightfully should and) used to be,
but how is that?

When every song in my storage
reminds me of the failed
last act we did and never had the courage
to actually fix?

I take it back...
there's at least
one thing to see
and hear in the Varrio
on my block.....
Eli the poet who's
10 times been shot.
His philosophy
resounds with me
and I must give him
credit for at least
two or three. . .

Pearls of wisdom that Mellifluously flew
from his mouth...
inspired by something
deep in his soul
that had to come out
which my hand
snatched from his air
to pencil as poetry
and to all of you reroute

i have been thinking about memorials a lot recently. the endings of eras. the constitutions of hearts and heartbreaks.
a memorial to the closeness once felt with family.
a memorial of a love that was once so strong.

i have already said goodbye to my heart— buried it under raw, cold ground.
it’s ****** pumps slowing down and spurting mellifluously. sweet waif of a heart.

Hark! Hark! Kenny Rogers,
A lark at heaven’s gate sings
Sail away like galloping rivers
And spread thy gentle wings

To wing from the ****** earth
Unto a realm of opalescent skies
In the mighty land of worth
Where seraphs croon lullabies

Mellifluously day and night,
Where flowers dost shine
Ineffably long and bright
All bedight in colors devine.

In lands of novelty sea shores,
Lands of many a whispering river
That dost serpentine forevermore
With heaven’s sweetest nectar.

In lands of halcyon glassy seas,
Seas as calm as a millpond
With banks of multicolored trees
Yet all veiled with many a diamond.

Lands enveloped by lustrous stars,
Stars painting words of desire
And heaven’s ineffable wonders
Upon chatoyant skies on fire.

Lands where love is woven by
A tapestry of truth not lies,
Lands where love isn't bought by
Sapphires, emeralds nor rubies.

Lands where avenues are all
Paved with green and gold
Come winter, spring, summer & fall,
Such pulchritude is all to behold.

In lands where the only air
There is to inhale is purest love,
In a kingdom all but so fair
Beside the king of heaven above.

Not far from here, in so fair a clime,
There doth dwell a rare songbird
That ever hath sang time after time
Mellifluously only not to be heard.

Her songs reverberate sheer lurve,
Not of here but of heaven’s sphere
Though blind as a bat in day skies above
Myriads have been, her songs not to revere.

But she keeps on singing beautifully
Her charming notes every now and again
For her songs she hath held for eons gleefully
With freshness like whispers of summer rain.

Hark! Now is the time her voice to be heard
By the young, the old, and the very wise,
The poor, the rich, the good, and the bad,
Hear the voice of a bird I’m proud to call, Bernie.

Travis Green Sep 2021
I dream of endlessly swimming
In your masculine magical seas
Feel your delightful breeze
As you undrape my vestments
Caress me all over with your
Poetic ocean water, sing to me
So mellifluously, take me down
Under to your glowing ocean floor
Where your euphoria encloses my existence
