somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond any experience, your eyes have their silence: in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me, or which i cannot touch because they are too near your slightest look easily will unclose me though i have closed myself as fingers, you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens (touching skilfully, mysteriously)her first rose or if your wish be to close me, i and my life will shut very beautifully ,suddenly, as when the heart of this flower imagines the snow carefully everywhere descending; nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals the power of your intense fragility:whose texture compels me with the color of its countries, rendering death and forever with each breathing (i do not know what it is about you that closes and opens;only something in me understands the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses) nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands

We need negativity It's the only thing more potent than the potion of positivity While we concern ourselves with the priority of support that positivity brings Negativity is what makes up move It's the faults we strive to perfect In the aspect of perfect Perfect itself is seen as positive to the point of negative outcomes To pick on looks or physical attributes To be stepped on These are the negative effects of favoritism That let humans know they are humans to other humans in the best of ways It's the negative the humbles And the positive that opens possibilities Only to fall on the cushion It's the negative that wraps the fear into a burrito and the positivity that plates it on hope It fills us while the other gives flavor And while you might disagree I just talking about human equality

Negative equals positive
ever since i was young, my gaze was drawn skyward. i could tell you the story of orion, and how to brush bernice's hair, before i could tell you that two plus two equals four. i know more about our vast universe, than i know about many of my friends. if you are not well acquainted with a pisces, let me give you a bit of an introduction: we are compassionate, imaginative, we adapt to whatever is thrown at us, and my personal favourite, we are unfalteringly loyal. however... we are full of self-hate, prone to laziness, we are escapists and horrendously easy to manipulate. i believe my horoscope today is complete ******** i do not feel utterly lovely, i know i will not score a date because no one feels for me romantically. i've nothing to flaunt. the horoscopes are saccharine lies, but, those traits? those are me. my soul is ancient, i feel the pain of struggles i have not faced, or rather, have not YET faced; i will split my soul in two i will break my bones i will give every drop of my blood i will breathe my last breath for those that i love. i spent two years of my life giving my heart and soul to a sagittarius. philosophical, adventurous. i admired him so. but his negatives-- inconsistent. overconfident. careless. he was a burning house. my mother, also a pisces, when all was said and done, told me to stay away from those sagittarius boys. they're dangerous for wary, fretful fish like us, who ask 'from what bridge?' when we are told to jump.

PATIENCE is one virtue so rare That is often missing in our daily affair PATIENCE is a companion of wisdom He who has it stands among kings in any kingdom It is an habit that cannot be thrown out of the window Without it lives you in a place of limbo PATIENCE is not just how long we wait But how we behave while we wait It is a virtue of grace put together to make a pretty face One year of patience equals ten years of peace PATIENCE is the key to contentment That locks every gate of resentment One ounce of patience is more than pounds of brains Investing in the bank of patience yield no loss but more gains PATIENCE makes lighter what impatience may not heal Driving through a narrow road but on a balance wheel A heart fuel with patience drives with an unseen speed It might be a soar fruit but with a sweet seed PATIENCE is truly a virtue acquire it if you can It will make you a good father,a better mother and a perfect human

PATIENCE
I am she Who compliments & completes The dream-lover and wishes Made when he is asleep. I am she Who suffers the most, Giving birth, cradling ghosts, As the crone or maid, (Once and always) Sister, mother, daughter, wife. I am she Who waits through the night. I am she Who equals the strength Of his light. "See me with your loving eyes, See me more than the tears I've cried!" I am she Who is willing To go with him to war, Not a man but as an equal, (I'm both soft yet hard) I am she To whom he'll give his heart I am the tunnel's bright end I am where The family starts, The breast which nurse small men. I am she The twin, The Juliet, The Goddess divine! I am she Who deserves the same in life, and for all time. (Peace be…) I am she I am you I am her I am the one besides And inside She is I… The romance in the dress, Patient Partner to the ends, Tiny dancer on the floor I am The one that loves you Forever & Evermore.

I Am SHE (for Women's Day)
Oh how calmly she sleeps, Carefree she always seems, Wish she gets sweet dreams. So glorious is her face always, I wish her all the happiness, All in the hue of brightness, None equals her cuteness. Oh hope never she weeps, Clarity she wears in deeps, With time get the -ve wiped, Such the cutest nature heaps, I'll be her guardian forever, At heart Atul is just a loner, Not just now - but forever. Only by respecting my love for her, A clear old identity is rediscovered, I'm known as Atul Kaushal for a cause, Singing hymns to my magical love, Ignoring all those distractions, And I am happy being with her, Nirvana comes just for us.

For Max O cruel, drunken soul, darling tigress, Come to my heart, you lethargic beast! I long for my trembling hands to caress Your thick and glossy fleece. In your petticoats filled with your scent To bury my poor, aching head, Inhaling your flowery fragrance; The sweetness of love now dead. I wish to sleep, to dream perchance As sweetly as death’s embrace, Without remorse, my tongue will dance On your coppery body and face. To bury my sobbing for hours Nothing equals your bed’s abyss, On your lips lies oblivion’s power And Lethe flows in your kiss. Like one resigned to meet his end, I’ll face my fate delighted; Docile martyr, innocent condemned, Whose fervour with pain is ignited. I shall **** to drown my malice,   With nepenthe and hemlock blessed; Placing my lips upon the chalice Of your pointed, heartless breast.

Close your eyes Your world, not extending beyond the soft quilt under your skin, unending Soft ripples of cloth, and picturesque seams Nothing here but You, me, the sky, and soft dreams I'll reach up and take the stars from the sky If only to lay them at your feet to place them in your hands to bring light into those glazed eyes or give a glow to a world so bland and each one would be folded into a beautiful origami castle I, the lord, and you, the vassal Or perhaps me as the king and you as a queen, whichever My gentle playmate.. which one is better? I'm a majestic creature of the sky You're an empty-faced child on a quilt Each star shall be used as a stepping stone so I might meet you in the place I built Let us meet, as lovers, or at least equals on this starry floor

Paper Stars
All these kids, They cry, Scream, And ***** "I WANT FREEDOM FROM MY PARENTS!" That simple freedom does not concern me. I want freedom, but not just from my parents so I can stay out late. I want freedom, From my peers, From my family, From the government, And from myself. I want to be free to walk down the halls, Hand in hand with a girl, Who I'm in love with. I want to be able to do that, With no fear in my heart. No worries or names called, Or punches thrown. I want that freedom. I want the freedom to be able to bring a girl home, And show her to my parents, And tell her how much I love her, In front of them. I want to be able to talk to my mom, About relationship problems, About the GIRL who broke my heart, But I cant. I want the freedom to marry. To marry any person I choose, No matter the gender. Male, Or female, It should not matter. My happiness, And the way I spend my life, Is not something that should be voted on, By those with half a brain. I want freedom from myself, To accept me, And be who I am, Without any shame. But I can't do that, Unless I have the freedom from others, To be me, And be happy with that. I want the freedom to be gay. Some may complain, That the gays are already free, Too much maybe. But that is not the case. We're not persecuted, But we're not free. All throughout history there has been movements for freedom. There was one of religious freedom, When puritans came to the New World from Britain. A war was started, And freedom came out with a victory. There was one of freedom for slaves, So that they could live the lives they wanted, And not have to be owned, And treated like property, By another human being. Once again, A war was started, And the slaves were freed. There was one of freedom for women, So that women could be the same as men, Equals. There were marches, And protests, And women rights came out on top. There was one of freedom for those of color, So that they can mix, And mingle, With the race that whites thought was superior. There were marches, And sit ins, Protests, And brawls, But guess who won in the end? We are working towards freedom of LGBTQ, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer, And one way or another, We will eventually get our freedom. Look at all these past freedom movements, There were always two sides to it. Which side are you on? Is it the right one? This is not the land of the free and the home of the brave. This is the land of the *** ******* cowards, And the home of the "You can be free, if we allow it." I think its about time we either lived up to our motto, Or changed it.

i am  not your ****** nor your sister. i do not know the meaning of these words, mister. except in instances where i hate us like they hate us. a putrid loathing sprouting from different colored grounds but a dangerous flower nonetheless. they are not just words, they are drops of blood spilled from the lashed backs of our enslaved triple grandfathers and mothers. our slang replaces hoses pushing us back during marches and righteous riots. aggression equals regression equals deppression. and now, it's all our fault. now it's black on black assault. now it's fly shoes and ghetto booties. poppin' bottles and poppin' caps, running through nights like street ******* rats. what would W.E.B. DuBois say if he'd seen this backstep taken after we'd come this far, after reaching for stars and dropping the ball? now i love this color. i love this color and prefer no other. all i'm saying is, let us pick one day when we put the negroidian away put ****** back in it's roots. no, not the movie, don't me toby. let us get the dream rollin' Mister King style, not Master P style. no big rims, or leather seats. none of that **** for awhile. i'm saying takeover. i'm saying african-america makeover. i'm saying, let's take our pride back, like our homeland lions. let us make black a taste not so sour. i'm saying, Black Power.

please don’t touch me she said looking at the floor because while it may seem like no big deal to you to her, your hands feel like bugs crawling beneath her skin invading the comfort of her own body please don’t kiss me she whispered turning away because even though she is in a relationship with you consent still needs to be renewed like vows to keep each other safe from the demons of assault please don’t force me she begged as she laid beneath you because a woman is taught that her clothes can’t be too revealing and her smile can’t be too friendly instead of teaching men that **** is horrible and no means no please don’t push someone for *** because ****** assault is not always a drug induced nightmare or a physical force holding you down it can be the manipulation or the bribing the begging or the crying please don’t forget it’s not just about *** it’s about who is in control and who is controlled the owner and the object we are all equals it’s time to treat us as such

Things can only disrupt you as much as you allow. If this seems hard to see or needlessly abstract, consider the Factor that is Self-Discipline: If any factor equals Zero, the product is also Zero. - I mean this in a general sense; applied over time. Things can be extremely bothersome in any given moment but once those bothersome moments reach forwards (and maybe even backwards) in time ******* up a perfect good "Now" then, I say that it's a bothersome burden which is (most probably) a result of unresolved internalized conflicts or Shadow. This is where Self-Discipline becomes a Factor and my analogy takes flight, in context. Maybe it's only true for me, but I have my suspicions that I am not so unique in this way.

Self-Discipline as a Factor
Salacious thought Brought on by persuasion A part of the equation That equals the occasion Addicted to the rush The high is amazing Subside; never does the craving The need I’m evading But the flesh is weak And the need is strong My resistance is fading

A flight of three crows added to a dense grey day Next add four iconic conifers as high as the sky eternally ******* down These things are always in my sight through my window on this wet world Multiply all of this by a sweet daughter who makes me proud and raise the whole to the power of a strong woman who carries us all on her back The equation produces a result that I am 95 percent certain equals happiness though the confidence interval is wide And this result sweet as it is and as uncertain as it is will outlive me leave a faint echo in time an echo that will bounce off a star and finally be found gripped in my shriveled paw long after the epiphany nowhere near paradise somewhere short of the end of the line This is a moment of happiness stolen from time hijacked by a fugitive from civil society I'll hold it close until death pries it without mercy from my hand Leaves it as a blessing and a curse for all who come after Take the blessing. Leave the curse. That's the advice I give with my dying breath. And I leave this to you from the generosity of my heart. With a nod to the scant traces of God's grace that I find on these pathways of travail. Never lost. Never found. Always present and generous to all. Be that.

The Arithmetic of Happiness
A teacher: The Villain and the Hero One inspiration, one true motivation That one person who gives his powerful students The right direction That one teacher who fights for the future of others Who finds success in the success of others That one person who further form a teacher Is a human-being He might seem like a villain to some But he is a hero to others He is my hero Picked me up from the gutter Made me strong enough to deal with X equals A to the second power multiplied times two He is that one teacher who taught me how to leave problems behind And solve equation easier and faster That one teacher who became a role model The perfect inspiration any student needs His way of teaching the concept His way of giving us the chance to be teachers our selves That way of making us the main importance His way of giving us our place in his class room Taking possession of our minds and changing them to capable ones Making each and every one of us students who can solve anything He expects a lot from all of us, He expects a lot from me He gives me the challenges that I can handle Gives me a chance to prove my self He taught me that X is just a variable That X is the solution That you should not be afraid of the variable That the solution is hidden behind the other factors That lesson I use in my daily life I'm not afraid of any problem in any subject Because he taught me how to deal with problems And when finding X was hard, He was there ready to answer my questions As I walk away during lunch I wish him a good lunch But what I'm actually saying is You have done a lot for these, your students Now give yourself a break and do something for your self. He might just be an algebra teacher Or a staff member at Riverside University High school Or just Mr. Sepulveda, to some people But for me he means more than that. For me he is a hero That can travel the distance And can fix any problem with time He is the Hero who inspires me He is a teacher Whom I admire greatly Not for being a teacher Or being at Riverside I admire him because he made me strong In Algebra In my problems In life And now In my poetry You sometimes are the villain For giving me a B in a test But you are the hero because for every B I get another challenge And I know that with your help I will get an A in Life. You are the Villain of my mind But the Hero of my Heart Thank-you Mr. Sepulveda Written by: Estrella Luciano For: A true hero P.S. I still think I deserved an A on that one test. ;)

Society fears Us looking in mirrors And liking what we see Posting 'selfies' online Is a narcissistic crime Because we're not allowed to be Proud of how we look 'Cause in society's book Insecurity plus jealousy equals pay And when we cry We're likely to buy And the world wants us that way

Lone star walking roads, crowbar in hand cowgirl I'll die for, I died and I died again, fluent in 6 country's, passports; pardons no cargo, but luggage is a stainless steel flask, half full, half way, to the moon if you asked me? Cadillacs in space, expensive taste that's masked with — the cheap stuff, inspired souls, they walk, and this forsaken path, they'll never make hell a ***** deed or two from heaven, counterparts we're equals, we're lost they're my colleagues, a scandal from remembrance, remember we followed rules? no response **** there's a shift in the rubix cube,  a memo from the warden, no weapons in the visit room, coordinating sin, a taste of gin before the see you soons, world was much warm before stone replaced the sand dunes, scoff at the elixir, cordially she casts stones, ******* of a demon crossing ponds is all the child knows, tales of the fishermen, who heard it through the corridors, all and all departed, with a fear of the other gods, strictly prohibited, a swig of the forbidden fruit, who are you to judge me, When Your Son Is Not Of Holy Proof! wedded to a mortal said your honor, absent i do's, abstinence is bliss and your crime ascends civilian law, guilty -- you're filthy, your son will never know your soul, I know my role and play it well, Your god never admits he's wrong, so why would I? — a baby cried, I'm present for my son's birth, and leave before an open eye the practice of a perfect curse.

(great grandson of Greek God Cronus) Our Deadbeat Father
Listen here listen here The world is so **** ******* Maybe all these terrible things are happening because it’s trying to be renewed Our president is so whack He keeps stabbing innocents in the back Praising Arnold Schwarzenegger by acting as if he’s the terminator Pero his wife’s an immigrant too American dream who We pretend to honor the OG’s who created this land But now your trying to get them all banned claiming them all to be rapists and murderers Be humble sit down i'm tired of all these racial slurs He says “We cannot aid Puerto rico forever” But really we need to be working on this together Puerto Rico is just a metaphor for how this president sees all Latinos and people of color He does not see us as his equals, nor does he sees us as his fellows Having the mindset being male and white Is the only possibility of being right Were all humans , we all fit in the same race. We should not be considered by the color of our face Yet somehow the white get all the praise Why are we still stuck in this racist faze Since 1963 when Martin Luther King said in his speech “It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity. But 100 years later the ***** still is not free” To this day even if they try not to say The ***** is still treated so falsely. Take a moment now to open up your eyes and stop all the self lies Get rid that hate to open up the gate to a whole new perspective A much more un discriminative kind Then maybe just maybe the world wouldn’t be so **** *******

stripped naked in the figurative sense, I see a girl that is far overdue for a dose of joy. so much emptiness in her eyes, blood flow has become invisible. beauty. oh so much beauty in the way she cares absolutely too much for those that are unaware of her favorite color nevertheless asks how she feels every blue moon. perfectionist could quite possibly be her middle name by the way her heart beats in sync with the spontaneous moods that show their appearance every two days or so. anxiety equals a rapid beat. "if you feel worried then you must act on it" seems to be her philosophy because when she's sad and shaky the heart must go slow. for, she. is. slow. when the depression hits and vulnerability only shows its face behind closed doors im sure she would say that she feels as though she's suffocating. suffocating in the figurative sense, where everyone is there watching her but no one can differentiate heavy breathing in basketball practice from a ******** asthma attack. idiots. so numb. she's so numb in the figurative sense. you ask her how she is and each time it's an automated "good" as if practiced hundreds of times before a theatre performance. an actress. she's an actress in the literal sense. planting a smile from ear to ear even when it's an obvious gloomy day for everyone else. she puts on a show of happiness that could very much earn her an oscar, if only she were literally in the entertainment business. I can see her falling in the way her back hunches just 10 degrees lower than it had a year ago. I would recommend a doctors appointment but im hoping she learns to fix it on her own. I'm hoping it begins to appear in someone around her that maybe she isn't as okay as she seems. this beautiful perfectionist doesn't just have bad days and doesn't just spare her low moods in spite of upsetting those around her. this beautiful perfectionist doesn't see herself as beautiful. this beautiful perfectionist is so far from perfect. maybe if someone looked a little deeper in the literal and figurative sense, they would choose to ask, after her automated response of "good", "are you really?" -mxy
