We are all whole, just with holes.
Debanjana Saha May 2017
Let us shut ourselves
give 'us'
some time & space
for weeks, months
& think.......

and return back
when you are
whole!
What if I never figure out
how to be whole?

Its has been day or two
I have been away from all of you.
But trust me, being away helped.
It brought back my appreciation
over little details in life
which I missed for a long while.
I used to stare at phones
waiting and  waiting for what I don't recall
But now I am staring into spaces
and the pleasures are surreal!
It made me whole after all..
I wanted nothing
but out of nowhere
I felt I have everything.
Wrote it on 18th April but I believe in it. I'm grateful for the life I have got
I can pay my bills, I can help the poor.
I can eat healthy food. I can overcome my fear and over all I am on my own.

and without her ~
you will never be whole.
What lies
beyond the
mist, the
reflecting
ocean of
my being,
wandering
Into the
endless,
eternal fields
of the moon,
before,
I once saw
you here
In the darkness,
I heard you
ask yourself,
why am I worthy?
as a light shines
where your heart
Is, you ask yourself,
why do I not feel
whole? I touch
your chest
with my hands,
you will
soon see,
within
you holds
everything and
the all,
the power
of love.

I write inbetween
my hushful & hasty life.
I carry no baggage
but to pour out by compiling all of my heart.

I eat, sleep, laugh, cry, work, dream
which goes on till its brim.
But one thing which makes me whole
is my write,.
It brings me joy out of pain
it shakes me up while in strain
it soothes me altogether
& comforts me without any fail.
I wanted to share my writing experience..how it makes me whole every single time without any fail.

The wind started to settle
An it was no longer cold.
Although it was still raining
The coffee now, was sweet and bold.

i just want to fix you
to fix somebody

but i know what its like -
to be fixed
it can feel like you owe your person a lifetime of debt
because when you thought you had nothing left
someone comes in wearing their invisible red cape
and they swoop in and save you
without even trying
and sometimes

without even knowing you were broken in the first place

It had been a moonlit night then,
Watching the towed flaccid raft,
I thought that I had seen her resting,
Exhausted there on the wooden craft.

I called her out unbeknownst her name,
"Hey young lady," to which she responded not,
She had looked up once in anguish & collapsed,
I had thought that I had seen despair in her amber eyes & must help her.

The crewmen had then been doing the padles after resting,
I had called my captain and asked him if he could see a girl in the raft,
The captain had just smiled and said, "You should get married commodore,"
I must have looked apprehensive so he had said, "There's no girl."

True he had been as she had just disappeared,
I had then started thinking of my sleep needs that day,
I had again looked around hoping to find the girl,
I had surely compromised my routine as the commodore.

Then I had immediately realized it to be my wild phantasm,
Surely that had just been a tired sailor's mind's illusion,
For no mermaids ever existed in the real world and were fake,
I had then turned back towards the deck to go back to my bunk for sleeping.

As I had climbed down the stairs to enter my room amazed and confused,
I had seen her standing as she had been waiting for me by the side of my bunk,
I had accepted the my mind's delusion & started to lie down,
She had said, "I'm as real as your thoughts, don't fear me."

She & I-me & her, had the best time that night,
In the morning she had been gone & simply gone,
Disappeared into thin air while I was asleep,
Each day I so dearly longed for her to return.
