I still miss you
I still live in the memories of us
The wonderful times we shared together linger on the nights I am loneliest
But the image of you is starting to fade
and I do not know whether to be relived or sadden

8 months since I've last seen you
3 months since I've last spoken to you

Today is built on chance.
The ideal of a better tomorrow.
And still I love you.

Though every day can't be as perfect as the last.
It's made perfect for all the little things you do.
And still I love you.

The foundation of tomorrow begins with today.
And if blessed with longevity.
I'll still faithfully love you.

Although there will be times when I press your last button.
And other times when you can't stand the sight of me.
You should always be convinced, that I love you.

It's not because my heart doesn't have a brain.
Or the fact your face is so beautifully complexed.
In truth my heart shouldn't always need a reason to recognize it's
living, breathing representation.

Even if your mad a time or two.
Your still the reason life tastes so great.
And I'll still faithfully love you

To the milestones on the side
So far, I have walked alone
Waiting for a travel companion
To carry my weight with her
Laughing at silly jokes we share
I intend to keep her forever
And you have shown me things
Every traveler will see in his life

Then, passing time
We’ll share our heart
With some off springs
Blossomed out of her beauty
Her smile will be painted
As a perfect picture
On their little shining faces

Together, we will journey more
Till the end of the road
And depart away with her
Leaving wisdom and provision
To the ones we cared the most
I’ll carry her through the heavens
To an eternal garden of harmony
love you as always forever

I'd rather be cold with him, than be cold with someone else.

He holds his breath
Hands white as winter
Releasing it slowly with a whisper
"I love you more than you could know"

He feels the air growing crisper
Holding her hand in mid-December
Life with her brought him bliss
Hand in hand, they watch ships pass

Her hair was good at catching snow
His love for her, she already knew
In that moment, her heart was full
Together in a moonlit eternity

where the most importance resides on
the meadow
rise
in apparent
glaring
I saw
her eyes.

from the first moment I met him
I knew we sang the same song,
I watched from a distance
with loving eyes
staying his friend
all along

took several decades and wrong turns where
until I found that there
her being life
an angel you might call
her, yet flesh and blood,
and heart
and soul  so much
in tune with my
song.

I loved him    from afar
his caring heart, his loving soul
I kept a distance but, stayed near
giving love, encouragement, and hope
when I could sense his fear.

my lungs called her name for many years
sang out searching for her eyes
and did not know she had been
answering
all the time
along
in
away
I refused to hear.

I always heard his song
I sang back
never loud enough to be heard
and in my heart I would long.
I’d step back many times
but
his song
would always draw me near,
I knew then that I would sing
until the combined melodies
he would hear.
Then one night melodies sang
calling song
answering
calling song….

And now,
like newness and hope and heaven
we sing together!

When at the right time those winds of love sweep you off your feet
you'll have come across someone whom you were destined to meet.
A life together may then be as a many coloured and fragrant flower
that can verily enrich the world around it like a long awaited shower.

Are we playing the game of love?
Where the aim is to see who can fall in love first
And the prize could either be who will be the first to get hurt
Or win a best friend for life
Are we playing to see who can give the most
And who can take the most
Are we playing to see if the investment of our feelings
Will bring proper returns or loss
Is one of us going to use cheat codes to end this game
Instead of letting love take control
Is only one of us going to fall in love
And get hurt
Because it's no fun falling in love by yourself
Are we going to play this risky game of love
Or just have a one night stand

"John, Jennifer, Sarah, can I talk to all of You? Together?"
Words that I thought too little of and too much of, in unison.
My
Heart dropping
My
Mind dismissing my troubled emotions
"I'm sure it's nothing big" I thought to myself "it must be about dishes, or the broken garbage disposal, right?"
But,
My subconscious knew how wrong I was;
what my sheltering thoughts tried to ignore:
"We
Are getting evicted."
9 years of memories, not gone, but the house they were made in
We will no longer occupy
And
Will never occupy again.
I
Am not exactly sure how to feel
I
Don't really know if I am feeling too little, or too much
I
Don't think I've really even processed the fact yet.
What I thought would be a family conference about cleaning, or dishes turned into news we never saw coming
How
Does one process something you were never expecting to come.
We have
2 weeks:
To process,
To appreciate,
To memorize,
To let go.
Nothing I haven't been through before, and on shorter notice in the past
So this time
I will be stronger,
And older
I will be wiser than my constantly moving child-self ever was
I will
Not break, or crack under the pressure or the weight of past memories
I will
Mature
And be sturdy
And do the most that I can to help.
Because this
Isn't, and won't be easy on any of us.
So I
Will do my best
And we will get through this,
All of us,
Together.
Last night, my mom brought me and my siblings together to reveal to us that we are being evicted. She has been protecting us since the day before thanksgiving and holding it in on her own, waiting to get us all together. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for her to be the only one to know.
