To love you comes as an unconditional force that I cannot explain.
You touch all the parts of me that I myself cannot see.
They look to you as you make them that much better.
I love you in the full extent of every chance I get.
And every single chance after that.
There is no such excuse as to why I cannot.
We converse through action more than lips.
Make no mistake in the way that I use these words or the way my body reminds you.
I love to color you in not just the ways that I see you.
But in all the ways you see yourself.
To teach, encourage, praise and inspire in all the ways of color.
For without you this emotion that dictates life or death would have no reason to exist.
To respect your existence with every smile.
To reach out and grab your hand reminding you that you are needed.
You inspire me as unconditionally as I inspire you.
This thing, love
Blossoms in deep shades of red
Outside the boundaries of lines

You build me up

With you I am standing on a larger stone;
This place I used to call my own, I share now with you.
You raise me up above and I no longer stand alone.
This is what loving you does to me;
All the love I knew from you, I would never undo.

You lift me up with words like love;
Now arm in arm we walk as one.
You let me go with each and every hug.
You build me back together when I am broken
And you give life to my bones.

Bleeding Heart

Choose life, suicide; born free, running wild.
Let down, picked up, never learned how to love.
You will always be my Queen; you will always have my heart.
Let your love bleed into me and I will tear it apart.

Here she comes in angel wings;
Covering me in her empathy.
I feel her love entrapping me;
Locked away inside her heart, I am finally free.

Free from the search of a true love that will last forever;
At last accepting love is temporary and at some point love will sever.
Severely love is ripped from my hands,
As she casts a glance at another man.

My bleeding heart lies there on the floor,
It is beaten, it is broken; it is in love no more.

Love will not last forever and some day it will fade,
But if you have it, hold onto it like it’s the key to your grave.
Because love will release you from the fear of death…

But love will bring your end, when you have nothing left.

We stand firm.
Striving to become the light that shines another day.
We hold true to that sense of warmth.
Through the wind we may stumble.
But we regain our footing.
Finding that our strength lies in each other.
A place where it'll never grow stale, or lose taste.
I rarely say it.
But I miss you, kneeling before I pray.
We stand firm not because of what we can see, touch, or feel.
You are the day I look most forward to.
We stand firm because you've given me something which I can believe in.
Unconditionally

The together is not what hurts
It is the alone and the apart
This relationship is so painful
But to me it is beautiful; art

Your breath the wind in my sails
They are flimsy; I'm easily moved
Happily impressed and proud
Of the few things you improved

I expect too much it seems
I watch you attempt to be what I need
I wish I was satisfied
But I feel like we cannot succed
This was written 12-13-13 the day after my ex's birthday right after we first got together. I guess things really didn't change that much over the course of our relationship after all, just the way I reacted to them. You can love someone with all you have but it won't make a relationship work, it takes more than just love, it takes effort.

The broom sweeps left,
The broom sweeps right.
But before we sweep,
We must dust the corners tonight.
Dust away the dirt defining your hurt.
Yes, you can reach them, with your height.
Let's take the mop now,
Soak up the floors.
They become water-damaged
With those muffled tears of yours.
And mine.

This old house is ours.
We must keep it tidy.
We waste away the hours
Tearing it apart.

I'll replace the old rags;
They pointlessly push the mess about.
Stains and rings of previous mistakes--
I scrub, but they never seem to come out.
The tape holds them together,
These furniture breaks,
But still they seem to cause
This rotted wood to ache.
We're almost done for the evening.
Follow my lead, love.
Tie up those rags in the bags of
What we needn't worry about for now.
Place away the supplies
In the closet next to the light
So we can rest our eyes
And attempt to sleep tight.

This old house is ours.
So we must keep it tidy.
We waste away the hours
Tearing it apart,
But a clutter is much more workable
When two will take part.
Handling a mess feels much better when someone can hold the dustpan while you sweep.

Light the stars tonight with me
Oh - light the stars tonight
And we shall lay another day
In moonbeams of the night

And when the sky is cloudy
And our eyes too fogged to see
We will know that in the glow
Is all that we can be

For we view ourselves in darkness
Broken pieces of a whole
But truer yet, lest you forget
There’s stardust in your soul
