"Thank you my heart, for not stopping when he left with a goodbye. You slowed, but, yet, you did not stop."
Thank you, truly.

I am your biggest enemy
That annoying disruptive archenemy
I am the devil’s advocate
The answer that can’t wait
I am the, what if, that cannot
That heart dropping second thought
I am that itch you can’t reach
That dreaded wedding speech
I am the chair leg that stubs your toe
The dreadful bad hair day photo
I am the daily agonizing frustration
But these moments give me this admiration
To be happy and thankful for those times
That make it worth wild to live a lifetime.

I'm thankful for this rain to provide inspiration
I'm thankful for the clouds pointing to my destination
I'm thankful for family even though we get on each other's nerves
I'm thankful for language so I can put together this verse

I'm thankful for gratuitous consumerism because With it our economy thrives
I'm thankful that I'm under covers and warm when so many have to sleep outside.

But most of all I'm thankful for my poetic family

Seriously you guys are awesome and mean a lot to me
Seriously, thank you n to everybody who reads my stuff :)

I would say that I'm thankful to be alive
But that would be a lie

Working on me,
So I can be,
more than I am.
Stronger not weaker,
Listen to my Heavenly Father, not the deceiver,
Destined to be amazing,
Always to be gazing,
At this beautiful life.
Be a Giver,
Be a Lover,
Fill my Spirit, my heart, with Faith,
Not the darkness should I bath,
But be clean in the Light,
Giving thanks, that I am not alone.
Day Nov 2015
when people in america (or many other countries) say
"i have nothing to be thankful for"
it upsets me because
being "poor" in america is nothing compared to being
poor in many other places
it frustrates me that people with nothing to eat but grass can find
more
to be thankful about then
someone with endless possibilities of success
stop
complaining
about
what you
don't
have and be thankful
for everything that you
**do
just be happy and thankful
She's the kind of girl that's one of a kind
And our memories will be always on my mind
Especially when the both of us are smiling
Under the sun---- or when we're sailing

Anywhere and everywhere with her
Is a treasure that no one else can compare
She helped me in developing myself within
Thank God, I'm not the person I've been

Even through the strongest storms you're with me
I remember you sleeping so sweetly
At times in the morning when I wake up,
I'm thankful because you're there to cheer me up

Through the pizza, fries and everything we like...
You'll always be the Ate Em in my life.

I’m thankful for the way you look
In bed after you rise.
You blink like you’ve just been reborn
Then reach and rub your eyes.

I’m thankful for the smile that grows
Across your glowing face.
It rouses me like morning should
With ease and heat and grace.

I’m thankful for your sleepy hands
That slip between my thighs.
“Good morning” pours from woken lips,
Your cheer a ripe surprise.

I’m thankful for your body there,
The way it takes up space,
But opens up to bring me in,
A deep sunrise embrace.

I live in a lonely world
I roam around
I plant my seed
While I'm exploring

Happy in life
Though lonely as can be
I have self control
Another kid alone

I have pride
And much joy
I look up at the sky
Saw clouds floating by

The wind chases me
As I chase a butterfly
Watching the sun
Under an old oak tree

The moon plays with the sky
With a glow on a midnight stroll
As I listen to whispers
When I sleep at night

There's a new day coming
Another kid alone
Just waiting for someone
To come along

Memories came fast and hard
Of yet another kid home alone
I'm one of a kind
I dream and think

I am thankful
For what I have
Even though
I'm a kid alone

Without thinking twice
you saved me from the soundless
I was headed for.
