The festive season soon to begin
No matter what the rains have to pour
Can’t dampen the spirit of festivities
Mother goddess, the divine
Will protect and provide
Empower and inspire
In days ahead
Of unwavering sunshine
asya Oct 2020
Because you shine so brightly
and I will follow you forever
I will likely get sunburn,
but this time I don't mind so much.

In love with sunshine
so far away,
yet if I try hard enough I can feel it,
maybe this will last,
maybe this will last.
Eleanor Sinclair Oct 2020
There was a time when we were happy together
The stresses of life were nothing more than the weather
And every smile on our faces brought us pleasure

But there are times in life when the wind becomes fast
And the sunshine turns to rain so the warmth doesn’t last

There is a split in the cloud, where the sun breaks through
That little bit of sunshine is when I see you
Without my sunbeam, what will I do?

Dear 16 year old me,
                                     Life is worth living.
Two years from now you end up moving three hours away and meeting two of your best friends in the entire world.
You write a book.
Sell your art like you've wanted to since you were nine.
Express who you really are.
Get the confidence to finally get the help you need.
Fall deeply in love while simultaneously experiencing heartbreak.
There will be trials that will seem like you'll never overcome but trust me, you will and you'll come out even stronger than before.
Life is worth living.
I know you're contemplating on ending it but please believe me when I say life gets better.
Not easier, but better.
I love you and our life
                                          From,
                                                     20 year old me

The teardrops on these windows
of my soul, blur the view
of the pristine tomorrow.
My lungs choked with anxiety,
as the lasses tread gaily across fields
and soak the sun.
These tears block the sunrays,
binding me to the darkness
as I smash those windows.
The tears laugh as it tries to pin
me down in the gutters of despair,
as I beseech the sun to dry these drops away.

Brighter than I thought
You lit up my life
Gave me confidence
I wouldn't be alone forever
Not everyone was judgmental

I don't know why I love you
But sometimes that's all that's needed
I've read somewhere that you know its real
When you can't explain why you love someone

I could never express my full feelings
There's just too much happening
My heart is a mess trying to figure it out
The twist and pull can only be called love

This may come across as cheesy
But I'm not sure how else to express this

It's like my world was in ruin and everything reversed
Falling in place
With you at the very center

This is the reason
I call you this
The very center
My sun
My sunshine
I wanted to write something about my wonderful girlfriend. Let me know what you think.

A wildflower
growing on outskirts
Standing tall in
thick warm air
soaking in sunshine
so completely unaware
A lone stoke
ripping through canvas
unnoticed &
unannounced

That morning Glory
Which children spread.
Over earth and sky,
Lingers like secret sunshine.
Permeating a multitude of roofs,
A multitude of rooms.

On oceanside grey,
Their precious feet tread.
Bringing refresh of light,
With every laugh.
I gaze at the sand,
With remnant proof that
Children of light walked here.
When I am still,
The Wind brings me
Whisper of their joy.

Giggling brooks,
Shining stars,
Vibrant flowers of the field,
Cannot compare
To the sweet music
Of Child's contagious laughter,
And the light God gave them,
Shining clear through their eyes of bright.
The first paragraph has some themes inspired by G.K. Chesterton's book on Saint Francis of Assisi.
