hand in hand
our feet sinking in sand
whilst on the beach we stand
the cool breeze lulling us into dreamland

but it’s not a dream
we are not on live stream
i see in your eyes the same gleam
as a silver sea kissed by the moonbeam

I've never wanted to be the hero
And surely I know
You were never any damsel in distress

So leave saving mankind
To the chumps in tights
We wear leather *****
And no seatbelts when we ride

Take the sands of time
And diamonds in our minds
Slinging silver and silk
In a world we've defined

Meet mistress color.
She is your friend.
The Red Goddess signifies love.
The yellow optimism.
Green prosperity.
And purple peace.

Meet the male deity of color.
He is your friend.
The Brown deity teaches to ground.
Grey lets emotions flow.
Black invites silence
And orange anchors new dawn.

Meet gold and silver,
spiraling into mystical love and light!
The gold that celebrates
a creative light.
The silver that makes one vibrate
inside love every moment.

Meet your inner self
It is your friend
It mirrors endless possibilities
and carries dreams with rainbow light.

The graphite colored smoke, that rose from your charcoal covered body, in billows of silver.
The ferocious orange and yellow flames, that dance at the thought of bringing your bones into the sun.
The smell.
Sandalwood and gasoline.

dead hearts restart.
your bloods on the floor aka art.
you tear your life apart,
just for a distant broken heart.

Gold shines just as brilliantly as silver or bronze
achievements for the greatest of them all
standing on podiums, they show-off their medals.
Well gold, silver, and bronze shine
just as much as tin or iron
even the cheapest of plastics can be made to reflect light.
Will your champion know what is really gold
or will they be distracted by how it glitters?
No, not all winners are fools.
But the best of them all can determine
the metal of their medals.

There's no real structure to these poems, but that's okay. I like them just fine.

i fell in love with you because you were gold,
dazzling, brilliant, a comfort few can afford.
and i also fell in love with a silver heart,
a few less stars in their shine, but soul glimmering with humility.
i settled for second because i believed i was bronze;
the last place in a race, the dull brown of pennies
but where you saw me as tarnished brass,
i was their fool’s gold.
and you grew ever so dim that day
when they proved their weight
in so much more than you.

Tinkling rhythms engulfed us
As we sat in a cuban bistro,
Surrounded by the populace
And having nary a place to go.

We spoke of many things
That curried the other's favor,
Then I noticed her silver rings
And decided I'd wait no later.

This stranger that sat before me,
Blue curls atop her pretty head,
Observed my hand steadily
As it dropped off the table's end.

I reached into my bag and withdrew a rock,
It's complexion of gold and plaque shining silver.
Her reaction was that of pleasant shock
As I wished her congrats on turning a year older.

Now, a year and some days later,
We've both reached a special place.
Day to day I get to face her
And feel my lover's warm embrace.
