The sky is blue with darkly scudding clouds

The ocean turquoise just, with racing horses driven by the slight sea breeze

Wave line sand is yellow shot with blues because of crushed shells

And our footfalls lead a tortured path across the foaming wake

For here are you and I in journeys long as life does run

Our paths entwined as side by side we match our stride through life

But the tide wipes away our past as sure as night must turn to day

But although we may be momentary in this extraordinary space

A love like ours will echo on and on as each other find their separate path back to each other

And each knowing that we will meet no matter what the journey holds

And as surely as the tide must turn or sun will shine

We will never part but always be as one a shining light spearing through to our future

And then our paths will be not crossed but joined as one forever more.

I manage to out run the desert heat only to catch up to the dead desert cold.  From day to night the desert attacked me with summer and winter slashes.  Nevertheless I escaped them all. Evil wicked creatures from below.  They destroyed all of the city and left no one alive.    I would rather die out here then be killed by them.  I walked as long as I could until my legs could no longer hold me.   My face deep into the moonlit sand I passed out.  I awoke to the sun shining down on me.  It seem much brighter than normal but strangely I felt no heat from it.  I then felt to hands lift me up.  I was to exchausted to even open my eyes, but when I did I saw the moon above.  Whatever was holding me it was holding me above its head or was it.  The moon seem to be getting closer and closer.  It was still night.  I felt a surge of warmness course through my body.  It was the most fantasic feeling I have ever felt.  I was no longer being held. I was high above the desert.  Floating in the air.  Below me was a ball of light in the sand. It looked like a sun in the sand.  The ball of light then lifted off into the air and came toward me.  It flew in a circle around me and blasted off to the stars.  I was reborn. Am I in heaven?  Did I die?  I flew back home.  And destroyed the destroyer...

Lost in the waves
By the sweet salty sea
Watch my thoughts float away
Deep into the breeze

As the tides pull away
They always come back you see
Like when I push you away
And you come back to me

The ripples in the water
Come to wash away our sins
Second chances are rare,
So where do we begin?

Now the seeping sand weeps
And burns away our past
It buries the skeletons away
And the shadows that they cast

You told me once before
That together we'd finish this fight
That we have to wash away our demons
If we want to live right

So walk with me for now
Away from our problems, into the night
Walk with me for now
Away from our shadows, into the moonlight

my words fade
faster than
footprints on sand
or snow on a hand

So many lines and laments
scribed in ink and feeling,
for the girl who is the ocean

but she is a swell and surge
too dauntless and wild,
for a lover whose bones crave the shore.

She craves the squalls and gusts,
and cast iron skies,
a worldly drift to sate the salt in her skin,
the deep pull of currents in her blood.

She is chaotic but not reckless,
she is fickle, but not feckless.
Love her boldly or not at all
her bones belong to the sea
but she will always return to the shore.
Wow thankyou for the kind words everyone. Feels really good to know people enjoy my words, and my first Sun too!

And these sun-drenched ocean waves
nudge against sand-kissed finger tips
as they sigh into your feathers
of the agony
they were impaled with
and moan of flight

I am the last grain of sand in the hour glass. I await the fall.
