Rubayiat Al Thurab (Verses of the Dust) – 37

BismillahIr RahmanIr Raheem

The limitless sky!

Under the limitless sky, I seen everyone desperately Try,
To satisfactorily conclude each other, on their own way,
But we human, how can we properly interpret the sacred past.

As it happened in eternal heavens in the sacred past,
That one ultimate conclusion, naturally causes us all,
To critically survive under the one stable roof,

The limitless sky!

Allah Khair….. Khairul Rabul Alameen Yah Arrahmanur Yah Raheem

Rubayiat Al Thurab (Verses of the Dust)
Salmabanu Hatim Jan 2019
We both live in Mumbai,
He is Harish, I am Jai.
He lives on the pavement,
Next to my luxurious apartment,
He lives in a shack with metal covered with tarpaulin roof,
It has a T.V dish and WIFI
Mine is hi tech and fire proof.
He sells Samosas on streets and trains,
I am a CEO of a huge company and its top brains.
He rides a small scooter,
I move in a a posh chauffeur driven car,
We are both dressed according to our status.
But, life is ludicrous,
He is always carefree, laughing and most happy,
Whilst I am always stressed and snappy.
He sells 4000 to 5000 samosas a day,
Free, sometimes by midday,
He gets a profit of rupees one for each samosas he sells,
Mostly he gets orders to deliver on his cell.
He earns as much as I do,
Makes me seethe red and blue,
He is his own boss,
Net income, no tax, no loss,
While I slog day and night for others,
Thinking of it makes me shudder.
He is even the owner of the house I live in,
My company has rented from him,
He even owns two more houses in the neighbourhood  within,
And a garage not  far,
Where it  services  our company's cars.
Life's like that.
Samosas are indian pastries with fillings of minced meat or vegetables and lentils

Downfall ever sharp
Rainwards on the steeple tall
Propped up on one arm
The building farce built of old
Refuses to fall down cold
I guess Rainwards is a word now. Via Raindrops On An Old Roof, A Tanka.

I stand on this roof,
Gazing upon the twilight world,
The faces of passersby,
Shrouded by veils of stars and night.

I play my song of eerie trills;
The highs,
The lows,
This sickeningly sweet lullaby,
Carrying all into the comforting embrace,
Of midnight slumber.

This swooping melody,
My warm, but shuddering breath
breathes life into the frost covered flute,
Cradled in my ice cold hands.

My breath,
My life,
Heard by all,
But me.
This is kinda about my insomnia? But, make what you will of it.

He sits on the roof
Legs numb
Eyelids shut
Mind open.
The sun drops and rises within the time it takes for a single smile to bend his adolescent cheekbones
The wind comes and goes, as affectionate as the lover he once had
in a dream.
Planets rotate and so do perspectives
His misery is truly ephemeral
Even though he may not know it yet.

The wind bring me down
A lone on the land
In a mess, thouch by the rain
Tremble in the coldness
Creates loneliness
On the noisiness roof...

Just you and I on this Charm rooftop.
The bass from the party make the ceiling rock.
We hand in hand got my stomach in knots.
The soul of the city’s in the backdrop.
Cool autumn night but **** it’s hot.
Dreaming of the world beyond these blocks.
You claiming this time you just can’t be stopped.
Why you wanna escape so bad?
I remember summer ‘01 when you tried to run.
Summer ‘02 all those plans fell through.
Summer ‘03 you came back to me,
Saying “The longer I stay the more I struggle to breathe.”
Maybe it’s the lights, they not bright enough.
Feelin’ like you locked down, got you handcuffed.
Try to prove to everyone you’re tough.
Girl I know you so exhausted and you fed up.

Midnight eyes staring right at me.
Asking so softly “What do you see?”
The words are there and yet I freeze.
Still hand in hand so tighter I squeeze.
Gazing out at the concrete trees
While your mind’s racing from the possibilities.
I can’t promise your dreams or give guarantees
But you’ll always be safe on this roof with me.

Do I give up on love altogether
Or do I hope that It makes us both better?
Are we better together or better apart?
Does it really even matter after a broken heart?

Do I pretend none of it even happened
After all that I’ve taken for granted?
Like the food on my table and the roof over my head.
I’m not the one starving, and I’m not the one dead.

Do I act as if everything’s fine?
Though everyone can see through those lies.
I can try to fake a smile and seem alright
If it’ll help you be the one to sleep at night.

Do I move on and find another
Or stay alone, hoping things will get better?
Are we better together or better apart?
Does it really even matter after a broken heart?

there are things
i can't do anymore
i've been doing all those things
a lot lately

just can't stop
every night the songs are played
i've had enough but i would just
have to do nothing or do something else

i'de like to be more descript
but every night
i inhale something lit
and scott gimple just knows
he is a better writer than Robert Kirkman
every time he kills off the main character,
the most integral part of the story,
the whole reason for the story in the first place
the most integral guy in the story
