Winds have brought the glad tidings of the first drop of rain;
For the showers of blessings we await..
For the rusky scent of the earth
For the rainbow in the sky
For the heavy downpour
& the water puddles
For the hot fritters with tea &
The season of love for you and me.

oh lonely doe
outside my blurry bedroom window
on this rainy day in may
drops pouring down a sky gray
over this single solitary soul

yet still as a statue she lies
except for those black glassy eyes
that blink and stare
without expression or care
sat the lonely doe hypnotized

sadness and solitude filled my heart
as i watched the lonely doe apart
i wonder if her friends or family were near
perhaps a squirrel, bird, or deer
will the lonely doe stay or depart

i left the window to fetch a cup of tea
only to find the lonely doe had flee
she left me all alone on this dreary day
no one to see and nothing to say
in perfect solitude by myself and free

I cannot remember when the last time I was this in love
when the last time an image of a woman terrorize my heart so
when the last time my heart throb so deeply when near a woman
it all begs the question: am I prepared to let her go?

I cannot remember when the last time I was this anxious
whenever I hear your voice echoing in my lonely heart
whenever your head is rested upon these weary shoulder
it all begs the question: must I go back to the start?
must I admit of losing each time?

experience had taught me what it means to love
         to lose
to suffer in that very same love
                                                 to love
             to love
but still I lose to her, my Muse,
my
my all.
unrequited love, essentially.

you are the reason I sit and pause at brown eyes
make my stomach swoop when they look softly
gazing beyond the soul that inhabits my body
letting me rot in disappointment
for they are not your eyes

Why
Why is today a rainy day?
Why did I bomb the test?
Why does everything seem so hopeless?
Why am I alone again?

Why is it still raining?
Why is today so boring?
Why can't I at least go out and have a breath of fresh air?
Why ask I'm saying so many why's,
I can't even play with my friend!

i think they saved you up
for my rainy days -
collecting gentle drops of dew,
(your heart)
the peaceful dance
of raindrops on my roof,
(your voice)
the warmth of my bed
on a gray day,
(your arms)
soft sunrays breaking through
dark clouds.
(your smile)

i think they saved you up
for my rainy days -
you,
with an eternity of love,
a gentle tide
to wreck ghost ships of tiredness
that live inside me.
you,
a serene potion to drink
on days when the other stuff
just doesn't work.
you,
head cocked to a side,
laughter clear and calming,
hands sure and soothing.

i think they saved you up
for my rainy days,
it's funny -
they forgot how much i love
the rains.

I see your eyes flicker as droplets on our skins dance to the ground.
Your smile widens as the water clicks the cement our heels tread on.
For a moment I am suspended in your love.
My soul expands to the sky, the earth, and the water in between.
Perhaps April will be my favorite moment between us.

The smell of dew lingers in the air
All around me is deserted except there’s you
The only sound we can hear
Is the sound of the rain as it seeps through

Watching the water as it falls from the sky
Our clothes becoming damp, but we don’t care
Engrossed in the nothingness, I stare in your eyes
Trying to understand your deepest fears

Can we stay like this forever?
Can the rain never go away?
For I fear when the rain is severed,
This feeling, this moment may not stay

How I love the raw emotion
As we both bear our souls
A moment to share our devotion,
To be free and lose control

Hear the trees as they blow
Feel the chill as it sets in
Here we sit in this shadow
With no desire for this to end

Just being here next to you
It feels like everything will be alright
Just sitting here among the rainy dew
Becoming one with the night
