I can count your name a million times
From fading stars to sunrise
There's nowhere I'd rather be
Under the sun's shining gloom.

If meteorites faded upon the ground
If the moon danced, crumbling down
If the galaxy was safe and sound
Would you stand there with me
Under the sun's shining gloom?

If we sank beneath the sea
If the world's turned upon our reach
If we watched Earth plummet underneath our feet
Would you stand there with me
Under the sun's shining gloom?

Or would we drown below the blue?
Would you pull away, as you do?
Would you pick up the pieces, lathered in glue?
If we stood under the sun, blazing like crystals in the dew
Would we fall apart?
Or is it too soon?

the moon pulled the tide
to new highs of extreme
scared to come down
the ocean forgot
all he used to be
until the sun came around
and the waves could now hear
the significance of its own sound
he thanked the sun
for bringing him
back to the ground,
“don’t worry”
said the moon
“i’ll be back for another round”
the moon is my enemy + friend

You know who you are
And you know that I'm thinking
About you.

I know that I'm here
But I feel like I'm not
And I'm fine lost in thought
If my thoughts are
About you.

My darling, you are
Like the north star,
No matter how far
In my mind's view I always
Can find you.

Like a compass I am
Always looking at you,
All-encompassing view from within
Take me in and I'm sure I can
Guide you.

I bow to the strong unknown forces inside me
that brought me beside you.
a personal feeling

"what, you're too good to say 'good morning' to me?"
she asks me as she slumps through
     the front doors of work.

"no."
     I say,
"you didn't hear me say it back?"
     . . . she didn't.

some people try
     to drag everything
into their own collapsing
     star.

but I brush it off and
               walk away, successfully
          escaping her gravitational
               pull.

later, minding my own
     ****-stick, she fires another
     shot,
"you sure have a chip on your shoulder today,  I'm staying out
     of your way!"

this time I don't
even acknowledge
                         her **** bird trying
                         to land on me,
                                                  just smile right
                                                  through her.

I turn my
head to
look
outside.

the smeared
clouds are
rippling in
a smooth cadence
of anticipation.

a storm is coming . . .
it's gonna be a good one.

now, i’m no physicist
but i believe
the powers of gravity
to lay far beyond
the tides of the ocean
and the pulls of the moon

if gravity
in all its mighty magnetism
chooses only to pull the earth
how might one explain
the karmatic lure
that graces our love?

through the roughest of splits
leaving the most jagged of edges
scars ripped through perfection
forever shattered by broken words

despite endless attempts at resolution
and countless finales to our grand tale
we always found our tears
to be recurringly interrupted
by the rustle of curtains being drawn open
for an encore of what was presumed to be lost

who has drawn these continuously?
consistently hoping in the face of doubt
to whom might i extend thanks
for becoming the self-appointed stagehand of our love?

why, it can be none other
than the beloved universe
that intertwined us from formation
expending the very magic used to bind us
to tear away our blindness
and once again
as if on cue
reunite us

We both ran from the reality we live in,
Wanting to be inside of our dream,
but it was impossible.

because we stuck between reality and our dream.
It looked near, but yet, it still far away.
Even if we close our eyes,
the distance will pull us away.
I just write what came out of my head.

I showed you my affection
You pushed me away
I was too clingy.

I focused on my life
You said I pushed you away
I was too distant.

It seems like
I just can't
Hit the right spot.

My dear tide,
Don't be fooled by the moon,
He just pulls you closer
and then pushes you away
without letting you feel him.
