Quiet! Stop shouting!
There's nothing to worry about
because God gets what He wants
That is... winning, say the books
the dogmas and the prophets
God is God, He gets what He wants

He wants war and peace, famine
and full shops, freedom and revolution
He wants Semtex and He wants ***
lots of virgins and gigolos and
He gets what He wants
or is that a joke?

God wants borders, drugs and flood
God wants laws, gangs and crime
God wants prayers and big money
pounds and dollars, rupees and rials
renminbi, euros and pesos
The liras He rejects

God wants subservience
He loves secrets
solutions and the internet
God wants to laugh
so He helps us all
and He gets what He wants

God wants friendship and fame
with drinks and dinners, He wants registers
and banks, He wants credit with or without
interest, He wants debt and poverty
and insurances for everything
He gets what He wants

With power one has

much more authority than --

a scholar or saint.

I speak the name of My god over you
inspite of sorrow,
doubted belief...

I'll nurture your virtue.
I speak these words of power-  to renue;
In desperation, I may plead

The divine to restore you.

I speak these words, to petition the unknown;
omniscient or indifferent
I plead they lead you home.

I speak a poem that doesn't rhyme aloud
Reciting prayers,
still holding on
and on
     and on.

I could be your darkness manifest
And the first tidal wave.

If you mock my peace
I will, with mastery,
Strip sinew after sinew.

But bare me your honest wounds
And I will create a universe
From my lips,
And from my hips.

I was born into dogma
And raised in decay
I leapt at death to save me
But caught my body just in time
To see myself divine.

I hate the power
you hold over me
even when you're not there.
The way you affect me
in all the worst ways.
The way this love
consumes me
like no other feeling.
The way my own
heart betrays me
and chooses you,
every time.
But most of all -
I hate the way
I love you
when I know
I absolutely should not.

These latencies
Of mine and yours,
At an mph speed,
Can only drag so much.

Up-and-coming causes
Of committees without agencies
Of time and power,
It unfolds precariously.

It struck me that
There's no best way
To micromanage or multitask,
I cannot prioritize a world,
The common ground beneath a porcelain vase.

So, I'm here to reason
In the hapless flow and fluid blast.

Would you rather be the sun or the moon? Before you answer, let's recap what they do. It's been said that "with great power comes great responsibility." This just so happens to describe the sun perfectly. It provides plants and people with life and energy. But too much can make your savior your enemy. The moon is a security guard. It keeps things running, and it can be dangerous to people who work on the water if it's not out, but it can relax and enjoy when people say "it's stunning." In the end, I guess the question is, do you want to be admired for your power or your beauty?
The universe, she needs me.
For transference she is seeking.

Pouring feelings down my throat,
so they can find releasing.

And Im permanently wired
to the frequency shes speaking

Collecting dust from comets,
to carve out my own meaning.

I make light codes out of lessons.
I upload them when I'm dreaming.

Slowly taking all the pain,
and I turn it into healing.

And for every cleanse completed,
she leaves me with a teaching.

And the world's a little wiser,
a little more appealing.

and the cycle keeps repeating.

A queen will always turn pain into power.

platonic years insurrected by civil wars (again)

one girl hit by lightning (again)

x-rays of her broken limbs painted from memory

caught between flintlock and fossil

with a just-sleepy-enough, narcotic feeling

his ghost in the sock drawer

his odd fingerprints on her luggage

the wilt of flowered books

full of wide-eyed selfies

and running scared old love letters
(or were they death threats?)

all roadblocks to her star-shaped chemical world

until her coup d'état falls helplessly into the sea (again)

A solitary eagle, I take flight,
With ambition's fire, my soul alight.
Above the world, in silence, I soar,
Mastering self, seeking something more.

Focused on my quest, I strive,
Seeking truths that keep dreams alive.
Within quiet moments, my soul's fed,
In solitude, I find where I'm led.

My thoughts unshackled, judgments cease,
No futile arguments, only inner peace.
Actions define me as I navigate,
Confident strides, no trace of fate.

Majestic as an eagle, I stand tall,
Inner whispers guide, never to fall.
Unperturbed by the world's transient streams,
Sky and stars, companions of my dreams.

Freedom's whispers reveal the way,
Through boundless skies, I sway.
Arrogance transformed to potent grace,
Tempered calmness in every pace.

Gratitude blooms in my heart's core,
Blessings embraced, forevermore.
Selective in where my focus lies,
Earthly desires, they're just fleeting ties.

With precision, I target my goal's embrace,
Only essentials find a place.
Inner voices steer with unwavering might,
Discipline and dedication take their flight.

Shaping reality with beliefs so true,
Conscious intentions, the world I imbue.
Guided by the universe's cosmic dance,
I, the eagle, seize every chance.

With reverence, I spread my wings,
Supernatural whispers, the melody sings.
In elegy, this anthem I create,
Revealing my essence, in verses that resonate.
