A stranger in my living room

We've never talked

We may not even be compatible

And do we even share any interests?

Well god knows seeing as we've never seen

Each other before
                                                 *
And now I'm resigned to take him as my husband

My lover, my missing half*

My partner for the rest of my life
Desi life mosta the time

I'm such a mess.
I'm no and I'm yes.

up and down.
nowhere but all around.

good and bad,
sometimes happy but mostly sad.

alive and dead.
there is so much madness in my head.

here I come and go,
ready or not,
get ready for a freak show!

In a cold dark world
no one* can *think or feel
there are no sounds,
there are no colors,
the days are grey
but the world is structured

Its a black & white world
where things work or they don’t
simple and complex
In a world so cruel and judgmental
so raw and sharp

so many colors and sounds
a song birds chirp,
The yellow rays of sunlight,
that we never see
because we are in a  pitch black box,
and we don’t try to get out,

differences and similarities
mind and heart,
So much is out there,
look around

at the crisp autumn leaves flames falling to the ground
An evergreen oak wise and graceful  branches
engraved with thousands of stories that were long forgotten
and washed away

We live in a bleak, black and white world
but we can see so much more

can we see the light in shadows
the good in evil
can we see the color in the pure absence of it
Music when there is silence
the chaos in nothing

Look deeper at the black and white of our world
**what will you see?
This poem is just a flow of words, I'm not exactly sure of the meaning  but it definitely has one. This poem is just to open peoples eyes a bit, its metaphorical. Its is also confusing.

Life's Contradictions!

Life is full of contradictions. Take men and women as an example. They are completely two different beings. One could even say separate nations. Yet, what compliments their relationship is just that. Like a business partnership it's nothing less than a give and take relationship for the "duration of the ride." And when you look even closer, you begin to see the great wisdom, plan and purpose in just this kind of relationship. It's what living life in this world is all about. Learning to live with your opposite and making yourself a better human being in the process. Here's where the contradiction lies. Although opposite, yet made for each other!

My short Haiku illustrating the above now follows:

**two opposite beings
appearance, thinking, outlook
made for each other
A short Haiku Poem, where just a few words yields a thousand images

Where evil lives, goodness thrives
If there’s no dead, there’s none alive
Angels come because demons ****
Peace exists because blood was spilled
If there’s no hate, then there’s no love
If there’s no hell, there’s no heaven above
The same pattern seen repeated here
Do you get it yet? It’s all so clear
That if there’s no you, then there’s no me
So stay, don’t go, for this I plea
Take one step, and I’ll be no more –
Don’t come back, you were so sure
And don’t regret, cause you chose this
You’re not someone I’m going to miss
Oh, that’s a lie, but I don’t care
It was just a silly love affair
But if there’s no pain, then there’s no gain
I’ve walked all year through the pouring rain
Finally now, I see the sun
Back then I lost, but now I’ve won

We are polar opposites
You are West, I am East
Our views always contradict
You have a sweet tooth, I don't like sweets

You are white, I am black
Not literally, but just in life view
Sometimes you're ***** white and I'm clear black
It varies from half empty to half full

You are an extravert
While I am an introvert
You like being surrounded by people
I'm fine being secluded in the darkest corner

You're frank and always true
I lie so no one will have a clue
But you always know what I hide
While I am oblivious if you're really fine

You are a cat-lover, I am a dog-lover
It rain cats and dogs when we're together
You sing the sweetest meow at my whimper
I happily wag my tail at your purr

We both like music though
But we listen to different genres
We never even shared on one earphone
So sometimes we just endure the silence

You are a sadist, I am a *******
You leave bite marks on my skin
Whenever you're overwhelmed
But I'm really fine with it

You like Vampire Diaries and Victoria's Secret
While I like TVXQ and anime
We'll never agree on a TV show
Now who's gonna hold the remote control?

You are a clean freak
I am not that very clean
You're probably next to Godliness
While I'm second to the last in that list

You are very hardworking, I am lazy
While you are being busy
I'm being a potato on the couch
"Sweep the floor.", you said as the broom flew on my face, "Ouch!"

I like food trips
But you are on a diet
You like to eat healthy
I like to eat anything but veggies

True, we don't have anything in common
Except for the dislike of the black part of the fish's meat
But we are familiar of our demons
And the how-tos for its defeat

Yes, we must be polar opposites
And yes, we're like magnets
Positive plus negative
To each other, we are attracted

I am salt, you are pepper
And we complement each other
We are each others' puzzle pieces
Completing each others' emptiness

We are yin and yang
We cannot live without either one
And most importantly, you and I
We rhyme
To my significant other.

Last night
I met two people
As opposite as can be
One outgoing, funny and talkative
The other shy, sweet and quiet
But somehow they still worked as a couple
In fact they seemed to get along better than most couples you would think to be perfect

This goes to show
Its not who you end up with
Its how you ended up with them

Humans*

We cry when we are happy
As well as when we're sad.

We laugh through our pain
And say it is joy

We lose our way
To find ourselves

We hurt others
When we are hurt

We are mixed up
We are humans
Confused......

She is breath and sunlight and warmth
She is the golden pigment found in his irises
She is the sweet sound of a breathless laugh after a kiss
She is the key to his mortality

He is frozen time and darkness and ice
He is the dark shade found in the corners of her lips
He is the sharp, menacing sound of snide comment
He is the key to her demise
