I built a magic time machine
I tinkered through the night
I erected it with art and skill
I knew I had it right!

Off I went on this fun flight
In my bubble made of gloss
I saw the future and the past
Then found that I was lost!

I saw the moments where I'd failed
I'd hurt my loved ones dear!
I saw the future bleak and dark
And viewed it with great fear

I tried to change the things I'd done
And found that I could not!
I practiced on the future, too
Was frozen to the spot!

I found the present compromised
Came back to my square bed
The empty place between my ears
The space inside my head

I learned a precious lesson
All that I can say
Is once you're off in time machines

You're vacant from TODAY!

The snow set in the barn,
Where the horses once laid
On a cold night, ice spiraled
We tossed,turned, all packed

The troops tamed to acquiesce
Rifles silenced, bullets sacked
Stocks in deficit, awaiting ambush
Sores overturned and edged in holes

Our nerves dead in the silent night
Risking an aching machine, a body
Pushing to extremities, thrill seeking
My mind numb, body ignited in dumb

Left, right… series audibly recurred
Halting to reflect the extreme valour
A salute to quench and honor a reality
For I once sacrificed my "liberties" for "others"
A reminisce ...........

Royal Blue;
A royal blue dream of you
Featuring: The Imperial Dream Machine
Providing more wishes and dreams then you ever did see
White plastic noise, broken toys
The choking sounds of time & rust
The changing tune of disease Mistrust
Imperial Dream Machine
Royal blue, these dreams of you
The space between these empty sheets;
Grey bars & white waste
No Dream Escape
The Imperial Dream Machine
Imperial Chills
The Imperial Chill Inside
Why ask Why?
No dream escape
Royal Pain
A blue, frozen, silent chase
Frozen steps, slow-motion-still
Leaves fall, faces turn
All roads lead to nowhere.
And Faces still.
No Dream Escape
It is an imperial dream quake
Dreams break
Golden seam rips apart
In the space between
A stillness newly awakens
A Forlorn Sorrow Cry
Why ask why?
Torture devices clamp in place
No Dream Escape
The Imperial Dream Machine
Provides more wishes and dreams
Than you ever did see.

No dreams escape.

Giving me the strangest dreams at night, as I look for her in a place where she could be anywhere in the universe. I'll always be looking, through every dream and every nightmare. Driven by nothing more then gears and bolts, a cold and calculating hunk of metal. **I've become a machine, and I've been designed a failure.

My first car was a Pontiac;
Winding down
County Road 577,
Hand atop wheel,
A boy and his machine,
Letting snow swoop by like
Hyperspace.
I miss those quiet rides.
But dreams dissolve, evolve,
And I’ve another tangent
Upon the tip of my
Tongue –
Something, somewhere,
Somewhen, fitting,

And prior another attempt at sleep.
A play on a "Boards of Canada," song, and only because I remember listening to, "'84 Pontiac Dream," in my '88 while learning lost in more than one way come the weathered county roads of Michigan.

One by one, through the machine
I’ve watched them go, boys and girls
Not yet mature, not yet solidified
They come out different, I barely recognize
Some I can still see, changed but still intact
One by one, through the machine
I’ve been there too
The fear, the expectation, what was I doing
Could I object, they said I could
I never believed it
One by one, through the machine
Every day, someone goes in someone comes out
I’m pained because I know it
I firmly want to explain to them
And to those who will others in
One by one, through the machine
They come out soulless,
Are they dead inside or have they found it
I never did, but I wasn’t ready
Who says that you have to
One by one, through the machine
But on who’s terms are we going?

Greased wheels, I knew you once.
I loved to balance like a child.

Roaming the paved streets; riding is like flying.

I knew you when the store held you back.
I chose you from behind handlebars with purple streamers.

Your tires silently carried me to classes,
each brake stop signaled that we were close to our arrival.

I sat on your worn black seat like I was on a throne of sorts.
Even though that seat is tattered with one rip on the side,
all I saw in you was my own **** pride.

Spokes, I knew you once.
I played your tune each journey that we went on.
No hill was ever tall enough, no road was ever too bumpy.

Gears, I knew you once.
Click, Lock, Click
sometimes you were tight and never let me ride
sometimes you were loose and my feet went flying ‘round too fast for me to catch
                     what you were doing.

I knew you once, when time was young.
This body was birthed without an
attachable heart

Love won't even try to cling

To a machine

Already falling
apart.

Planet of imprisoned pasts,
Time of dark and ragged masks.
Life of chants and pointless tasks,
Take a cask,
Let living last.

Yet under the cloak of the waterfall,
Despite the warnings in nature's call;
The Unhooded work on a better machine;

To spin a storm;
And set them free.
Part I of "Blooming Subterrane."

The times are dark,
But we have light
Along our hidden stream.

Yet it is the city's heart
I've been invited to set free.

Yes, my dear,
The times are dark.
Need you grant me your leave.
Yet you know I must be gone
To a place beyond our age.

You'll see my paint on
Central halls if I do succeed;
Saddening to watch you fall,
As I step in the machine.
Part three of "Blooming Subterrane."
