they say the gods grant you
a wish if you build a thousand
origami paper cranes
I have built a million of them
using the finest coloured paper
from stalks of bamboo written in ink
each flies with a wish I've made
hundreds with the same whisper
that you'll find me again someday
they say good things come to those
who spare the life of a spider
I've spared every spider I have ever seen
since I was six years old, I was careful
talked to them often, quietly
so they wouldn't be lonely like me
gave them droplets of water late at night
and asked them if they would help me
find you again some day, too
now, good luck visits me late at dusk
when I dream of your countenance
my reward is the sweetest night
bliss at the moonlight against your softness
though I wake, alone once more

I’m so lucky
I’ve heard that
And there are times
It doesn’t need to be said
But I guess what I really
Need to think about
Is
How can I help others be lucky too?

People need to stop treating

their own lives like pennies

Tossing pieces

of themselves into

wells and fountains

for wishes.

Because at the end of

the day, someone else

will harvest the

sunken change

and make eternal wishes

becoming the luckiest

one of all.

we danced in the streets as the days were long
only recess and reckoning while water crept in
this city of dead, our place, where the stench lives
and bodies float, lying above the crypt's graves

hurricane red absinthe & hand grenades
slugging the gulf like a shooter's brigade
a forecast shifts, flooding any escape
so we fire our motors with boats on em.

You say

“How lucky are we to be in love”

And I say

In toil, and sweat, and dedication
In devotion, humility and sacrifice
In the will to grow and change together

There is no luck

To call it luck is to believe in
An unseen guiding hand
Sketching fates out of a whim

To call it luck is to say
That the universe funneled us together
Carried like leaves on its
Roaring cascading surge

It is like shuffling all cards
Back to suites laid in ascending order
And drawing from the top the queen of hearts

And how can that be as magical

As wonderful

As two people, that choose to
Unravel their old selves
Then embrace, and meld together

To fashion a new whole

my lucky charm.

Tell that their secret of success is "Luck!"

Then unsuccessful people, Backstage
Yell at their own fate, "****!"

Sometimes you just have to go for baroque in this acapella life.

No more loop holes,

Tell them what you meant,
You only live once , there's so much time
to repent,
Lucky with no friends,
But if you did,
They will put a price on your kindness for
hate people to devour,
In final hours the fire gets louder bursting
the mind of a youngin' whos probably
proud of something beautiful that he
made in the garden ,but wheres the eden?
Finding that out is impossible , quite
an achievement,

Bright minds nowadays,

They only find solace,
Don't find the disposition of an emotional
malice,
In your mind you built a palace,
They can't break you down and if they did
they'll never take your dignity and pride,
you're a God,
But as broken as shards while moving the
stars in a negative o-zone that is this
earth, if you find any kind of harmony and
peace in your heart , I hope you find it
soon cause the world is doomed, Don't
break yourself apart young one.
