I will not write a poem called
tongues of lightning; *** is that,
licking what? the ground; ur face;
what does a tongue of lightning
look like; is it wet? it's a bolt, an
insane jolt of ******* mother's
nature's own natural electricity &
it can fry your *** ******* insensible;
lightning doesn't lick; it kicks ***
given half a chance; it's a hot charge
not an act of god & god won't lick u
either although tongues of fire is
very poetic; I wonder if tongues of
lightning is in the bible; I doubt it
but u never know; I will not write a
poem called tongues of lightning

I find peace in the rain
I find comfort in the lightning
I find relaxation in the thunder
The storm holds me tight
The humidity keeps me warm
The weather doesn’t let go

I feel at home
When there’s a thunderstorm
Because the weather mimics
What goes on in my head

I want something to happen,
Something large,
Something new,
I want something to happen,
Something that will jar me out of this monotony,
Eject me into space,
Bursting through the atmosphere like a bird breaking the surface of the water on its way back up.
Red lightning,
Yes,
I want red lightning,
Unexpected and violent,
Something I’ve never seen before
A person,
A thing,
An opportunity,
A new start,
A something,
Anything that will throw me,
Launch me,
Startle me,
Change me,
Or at the very least,
Make me feel.
Give me red lightning,
Someone,
Anyone,
Find me some red lightning.

thunder, lightning
rain pours on our heads
you look up and smile
a not so rare moment
of pure happiness and
you are beautiful
your long locks now wet
and dripping and
you are still smiling
glad to be alive
i wish i was like you
but i am not
don't you realize
you are the only reason
my heart continues to pump
and my lungs continue to
inhale
exhale
inhale
exhale
i feel your warm breath
on my skin
and we finally meet
in a passionate kiss
inhale
exhale
inhale
exhale
i wish my dream was a reality
i really really do like him

You grow flowers in my heart,
You draw lights in my dark.

You stopped the rain that is falling,
You brought sun in my sky.

You calmed the storm in me,
The lightning they screamed.

And whisper out the rainbow,
I didn't know I could be.
For how you bring out the best of me, in the worst time of my life.

thoughts flood my mind like a rainstorm in the spring
they’re dark and loud and leave everything muddy
once they pass it’s sunshine and dandelions but
only for a while because soon the clouds roll around
and it happens all over again
it’s hard for people to understand why one moment
it’s pouring and the next the sun is shining
and believe me, i’d like to know too

i’m still trying to figure myself and my mind out

you are like:

a mirrored lake, everything below the surface.

handwritten love letters and bright smiles.

a quaint cottage surrounded by wilderness.

the glimmering sand and burning sunsets.

the whole night sky and everything beyond it.

the force in the tide, the chill in the breeze.

     lingering glances and long drives.

lightning and thunder -

                                                -and everything-

                                                                                                      -in between.

your voice is like thunder
and your touch, lightning.
the storm you've got me swept in is
so beautiful, it's frightening.

your eyes ignite wild waves within my soul
and your smile keeps me calm.
I feel utterly complacent knowing my world
rests safely within your palm.

when you call my name, my heart drops,
flutters and melts all at once.
before you, when it came down to defining love,
I was an utter dunce.
who could have ever truly predicted that we'd
grow into a love far truer than any other love that
has ever existed?

The black clouds above blot out the light
The air becomes heavy and it fills me with fright
Shut tight my eyes and cover my ears
Hide under covers fighting my fears
Off in the distance is the sounding of Thunder
And then in one moment the sky split asunder
Dancing lightning setting fire to the sky
And from my mouth escapes a small cry
I am so small and so weak a helpless little child
Hold me close to you while the night rages wild

Lightning
Striking veins!
Like fire within our veins!
Emotions insane.
The calm beneath within the seas.
As lightning rages,
bringing weakened hearts to their knees.
The clouds alarms chases heart in storms.
