1st persona
Inequality is good, a wise friend once divulged
It was a good thought that has a hint of truth
Why? I asked to uncover its mystery
The he replied and informed me gleefully
2nd persona
Perfect liberation is too far to achieve for foolish men,
In the present time I witness what I believe
Blissful faces all around and its probable not their last
And ain’t we living now in an unequal world with future to trust?
1st persona
I ask, but what about those people lamenting in the dark?
2nd persona
I’m sorry to tell you bro, in a senseless quest I won’t embark
Isn’t it those happy people the cause of their misery?
Which we are a part of, this is ours and that is their destiny

Of course I won’t impede your stance in this matter
I believe you ain’t too foolish with your freedom and liberty
It’s just that some people get what they want on a silver platter
While some work their ***** of just to receive their miniscule pay
1st persona
I understand my friend that harsh verity
2nd persona
Harsh? Yeah to some people it is full of cruelty
That’s why they want to overturn the norms, the world’s ethos
I admire their courage but that is a matter I don’t intend to poke my nose
1st persona
Speaking of unfairness, I have a thought of mine
Why do people complain of what is absent
When compared to others they have a lot present
Is it because man's greed knows no confines

And some people grumble about their problems that
When compared to other's crosses are just shallow vats
2nd persona
If it is what you said then what use is contentment?
And the second problem’s just like a game in my discernment

Level by level we are differing with every other
It is by which our environments determine our given attitude
A level one complains to a level seven, a higher number
And a level ten complains to a problem of greater magnitude

By which sometimes the level ten see level one in annoyance
For how lucky he is yet grumble of his misfortune
See, its just a matter of perspective and vision
Now why are you looking at me in askance?
1st persona
Your logic has something wrong, I’m just pointing out, not debate
Why can’t a level ten, over a level 1 problem, grumble?
For its just a matter of perspective as you did articulate
And if it is the case then what use is the level of the people?
2nd persona
Hahaha, you got me right my friend
My view is flawed as I am
Please do share thy thoughts so all this will end?
For we have talked till the cows to home, come
1st persona
My friend, I dare not belittle the view you conceive
For I think it has a hint of truth, even though with a flaw
You have a wisdom that exists only on a chosen few
So let me add a bit of my subjective perspective

The great may whine of a small barricade
The lesser may smile to the towering obstacles ahead
In every individual there are many factors of multitude
This is what you have missed, the peculiarity of humans

Not just discernment,
There is also temperament
We not only have perspective,
There is also attitude that we give

Many matter in life, I thus conclude my statement
2nd persona
So that’s it! Thank you for the enlightenment
Those factors really do affect our actions
As long as we are humans, there are no exceptions

To persist, to cower, to grumble, in traversing the rain
To take it easy, to seek help or to accomplish it on our own
Despite all these choices, one truth remains
That in life we most likely will reap what we have sown

How do you expect her,
Not to get wet
While standing in rain
Not to burn
When walking in flame
Not to feel pain
When getting hurt everyday
Not to break
When regularly being corroded
Not to react
While facing maltreatment
Not to rebel
After suffering years in hell

How do you expect her
To apologize
When you have made the mistake
To forgive
When your acts were full of abuses
To be healed
When scars stretch from head to heel
To recover
From the heartaches daily delivered
To be normal
After witnessing acts  of evil
To be well
While being with a person like devil

When you’re a PA, every day you try to make people healthy, but you have to be stealthy because only the really wealthy seem to care, the rest are trying to get by and they don’t ask why, they don’t cry, they just do, so it’s you who has to sneak some health into their day to day, make their pain go away without any lifestyle change, and it’s strange and outrageous but poverty isn’t contagious, so you treat everything else and hope that somebody else gets to the root of the problem, because you’re just a brute who will rob them of their copay when they really need a good job and decent pay, a balance between work and play, something to pray to and something to eat that’s not fast food, but you don’t want to be rude and you only have ten minutes to fit it in so you refill their meds and hope the feds don’t catch you giving pain pills to someone who’s not dying, even if they’re crying, you have to be tough, because life is rough and sometimes tylenol has to be enough, because they might abuse and you have a license you could lose and it’s not worth the risk, but if you’re not taking risks what is this, why are you here, why live in fear when you could be changing lives, giving high fives to patients who not only survived, but were given the tools to thrive, isn’t that what you’re striving for, and when you walk in the door the smile should be real, you should feel something, reveal the truth and heal deeper than the surface, because these are real humans and they’re worth it.

Something must be done,
So that justice can be won.
No more insensitive remarks;
Or fire starting sparks,
Of the hate from so many,
That wears us down like an old penny.

It seems that so little, so few,
Can actually see through,
The transparent glass,
That seemingly separate our class;
“All for one and one for all,”
A neglected rule that sadly is our downfall.

We must band together,
It doesn't matter whether
You know them or not,
Save one another, cover your blind spot.
We’re all brothers and sisters,
Not your personal battle enlisters.

Work together, never against,
It’s the reason why we’re always so tensed.
No one to brace our fall,
Someone who only makes us feel small.
No one to help when we bleed,
Be the selfless hero we all need.

I wonder why some feel the need to
Belittle and overdo
Stray from Racism, sexism, anti-semitism,
And bring love, hope, and activism.
If you practice what you preach,
Maybe hatred can be just a figure of speech.

Keep your friends close and enemies closer, they say,
But that’s deceit in a simpler way.
Don’t tear another down
Never let them drown
No, instead we must build up,
Praise and makeup.

Don’t complain or whine
Leave indifference on the line
If total equality is what you seek,
You must be ready to speak.
Speak out against the hate,
But only some await.

An open state of mind
Sadly so many have become disinclined.
I question as to why,
The tree of kindness is running dry.
Through thick and thin,
That’s how it should have always been.

If effort is what you require,
Why do we all wait until it becomes dire?
Few of us care about the wellbeing of our peers
Maybe in fear of the comments and jeers.
That is the precise reason why we need this!
It’s a shame some would rather stay and reminisce.

An Endless, brainless, aimless, way
To be stuck in the so-called “ good old day”
The future is now, the time is here,
Where everyone is new, and all can cheer.
Erase the bad times, but do leave time to renew,
Because in the end, we’re all just humans too.

There are changes to be made,
No reason to be afraid.
Love thy neighbor and it will be okay,
Not just tomorrow, until your very last day.
Something must be done,
So that justice can be won.
The poem that won me second place & a scholarship!

Lying low on the beach of the lake,
small as a snake,
a naked leech.

Its body deflates as I bathe—
as I dive in the wave—
it bakes in the sand.

I rise to a sea of them, boiled,
spoiled black in the sun—
bloodless beasts.

But I’ve a few bottles of beers
to elicit some cheers
on my day at the beach.
It’s convenient to ignore suffering.

Someone put an
     asterisk
in the Constitution and the
Declaration of Independence
when we weren't looking.
They added terms and conditions,
the ones nobody bothers to read
until they're ****** by them.

We live in the 'Land of the Free', asterisk.
We have the right to free speech, asterisk.
We can practice any religion, or none, asterisk.
We have the right of Life and Liberty, asterisk.

Rich, white, men know that the asterisk means
'for me, but not for thee," as they smile and
waggle their eyebrows at one another.

We live our lives surrounded by asterisks.
Truth lives in the asterisks.
A quagmire
that Cohen
was an
exempt constitution
and amend
law where
string excess
and total
chaos like
her love
town she
inhibit them
in harm
that enforce
statute when
wax moon
bare ******
a superlative law in just time

The world is full of
           Inequality

No matter where you look
No matter what they say
The world is full of
           Inequality

It’s said that fire can destroy anything
           if it burns hot enough
           if it burns long enough
even if that anything is as tenacious as steel
because steel melts
and it can be bent to my will

I am fire
I will burn
I can bend the world to my will

The world that’s full of Inequality

Because I am a woman
Because I am resilient
And no one will tell me otherwise.

Look I know it sounds harsh, but see it from my perspective. Actually don’t. Because my perpective is your perspective but let’s make something very clear. Just because we share the same pigment doesn’t mean we share the same ideas.

Ironic. I know. The idea that I’m not a fascist **** is weird, but I’d like to hope it’s true. So let’s go through the step by step build your basic redneck racist ******* pack.

1. “Make America great again” this one needs no ******* explanation.

2. “All lives matter” again, self explanatory.

3. “White privilege doesn’t exsist” oh, I’m sorry you take for granted the fact that you don’t get shot at traffic stops or become physically ill when your the only one in the room

But see it’s not only the extemeists that are dangerous, it’s the common, staring for a second locking your doors at the sight, not walking down the same alley at night, asking invasive questions, making “jokes” racism that’s dangerous.

Just because you don’t think it’s wrong.
Doesn’t mean it isn’t.

Your a racist *******. And you don’t realize it.
But then again so am I. Even when you think you understand, remember that you don’t.

So do the world a favor and stop and think. You can’t change your pigment but you can change your **** attitude.

Hatred anywhere is hatred everywhere. So advert your eyes from her face, she literally just wants to eat dinner too, and shut the **** up about who’s lives matter because the real truth is if you hate the way you do, then yours is the one that doesn’t.
