there was an ice storm today.
so i ordered food.
if mother nature said **** it
than i do too.
maybe if
i had cooked,
instead.
i might have
gotten something done.

Winter penetrated inside me
Turning my vision misty
My eyes became fixated
Upon the endless snow
That shrouded the lush greens
The frigid gales lacerated me
Carved wounds upon my pale skin
Crippled every inch of my body
And I cried for warmth
To melt this blood
that had condensed and congealed upon me
At last the tides of salubrity came
with the radiant waters of spring
And I watched them baffled
As they washed over me
The thorns of ice protruding from my skin
Trickled away without resisting a bit
Never could I fathom
How a ferocious ball of fire
Possessed an incredible ability to heal
With such a dexterity
I affiliated its searing flames with destruction
But it turned an arctic heart
About to succumb under talons of grief
Back Into a supple muscle
Rippling under a rhythmic beat
chiseled it further
So it remained insulated from future calamity
I just needed to wait and believe
Something better was meant for me

You close your eyes and take a glass
Put in some ice and grab my ***
Pour in red wine then take a sip
I call you mine and bite your lip
Breathtakingly stark
icy pools in somber eyes
distant, secluded
My first ever haiku. How was it?  Any improvements needed?

I feel the icy walls
Rising up around me
In my reach
And under my touch
I don't look up
I don't look out
I don't try to reach
Past the walls about.

And if I see
A sliver of the light
Tears blur my sight
And I collapse
As the walls come crashing down...

And if you catch
My soul by chance
I would crack
Into a million shards of ice;
My final barrier
And the end all...

I was fire, you were ice
You said you'd never crack

I'd like to think you did
Under the flames o' mine

We thought we'd reached equilibrium
Until things got uncomfortable

Fiery as I, bitter as you
We summon blows

I am fire, you are ice
People say opposites attract

We thought the same
Yet we never saw each other again

I'm ice

I melt in the face

of catastrophe

I melt in the polar

of calamity

of treasures I hide

chastity *****

by avarice

in a warming globe

I'm ice

the suffering ice.
Scientist report ice is melting at an alarming rate in the Arctic region due to heat waves from the Arctic ocean. It records the lowest maximum on March 17 of this year. The lost ice covers an area the size of Texas and California combined. They fear of easy accessibility to oil and minerals hidden beneath the area.
