The shadows roll over me
Eat me alive
I let them because I know they are my friends
They hide me from society
The jungle of a community that we call the earth

I seek something dark in the middle of the day
Wishing you would just bring me inevitable pain
Seeking something dark
I'm hiding from you
Hiding from who you are

Seeking something dark
I let you overwhelm my pain
When you take over my brain
You leave me alone and unfeeling
Seeking something dark
Leave me alone in an unclear murk
I hope this relates to someone. Hopefully I won't leave yo in an unclear murk.

My mind, my Alaska
wild and rugged
beautiful but brutal
survival first
burying my demons
is the wolf that kills just a puppy?
have I finally reached the land so untouchable and wild?
isolated and hidden waiting to be found
an eternal place
buried deep in Alaska where no one goes
protection in isolation leading only to confusion
you show yourself piece by piece
then you run back into the woods
unsettled and unpredictable
it may erupt at any time
beauty built on violence
torn apart and broken
you lay there bleeding until you're ripped apart and eaten
white powder of purity falls on you
serene in your silence
you become uninhabited
and suddenly you're back to protecting
cold to touch
but you're safe for now
hiding in the wilderness of Alaska

who are you?

The vicarious visage of life
Hidden behind masks.
A broken mask
Means a broken man.
I’m proud of this name for some reason. Also I think I’m overworking myself. 2:30 was when I went to bed after finishing stuff, then 5:30 was when I woke up.

This lack of emotion,
is what has shaped me.
It’s made me seem cold,
but I’m not what you see.

First funeral at thirteen,
one of my dads good friends.
Stabbed by his stepson,
such a horrible end.

Next year it got worse,
that’s when grandma died.
I remember the funeral,
and forcing myself not to cry.

Then two weeks later,
my dads best friends heart quit.
I held back the tears,
trying hard to control it.

Then six months later,
they found my grandpa.
Loaded gun in his hand,
his memories on the wall.

I started to crack,
but didn’t let it show.
I had to be strong,
so that no one would know.

Then three months later,
my uncle died.
I tried to control it,
but finally broke down and cried.

Running away,
till my dad caught me by the hand.
Then saying I was sorry,
when I could barely stand.

I didn’t want them to worry,
when they were hurting so much.
But it finally broke me,
my fathers touch.

I wept in his arms,
and could feel his tears on my cheek.
He was trying to comfort,
and I was ashamed to be weak.

The moment I saw,
my sweet uncles face,
something broke inside me,
that I had kept at bay.

I still cannot think,
about that without tears.
It breaks me every time,
even after all of these years.

So if I seem distant,
then I apologize.
Just know that I’m weeping,
it’s just on the inside.

My mind is racing in circles again.
It will go on and on and on.
Every minute.
Ever hour.
Every single ******* day.
It feels like pain is the only way to break the circle.
Cause for a moment I will feel something.
For a moment I will feel whole…fine.
But only for a moment. Then all I feel is shame.
All I feel is the overwhelming fear of people finding out.
But I'm so tired of hiding all the time.
Tired of hiding the truth.
Tired of pretending to be fine.
Someone is controlling my brain.
Someone is placing these horrifying thoughts and images in my mind.
What's wrong with me.
What am I doing?
It feels like I'm trapped.
Trapped in this mess.
My mess.
I made it.
I gave it fuel.
But it's so exhausting waking up to the same numbness… the same pain every day.
My hero where are you? I think I need saving.
