You remind me of the ocean,
a great sea ruled by the moon;
with calms before the storms,
the tides guide your mood
I've lived on your shores long enough to know your signs

Where I stand
I hold no one's hand

                                                           but I am not alone
                                                           I feel you all around

             your spirit guides me
             & teaches me the way

i stood in the fortress of your love
to guide and protect you
from being blue,
to keep you safe
from being strafed
by all the lines you have encountered
and at the end of the war
you stood far
with another girl
and never looked back
at the girl who wore black
who protected
and collected
all of your broken parts
and kept it inside her heart.
I present to you all Heart from the War

.
Thrown into an event,
temptation wearing a smile,
as you fall into the void
behind my pale blue eyes,
a willing traveller
through gateways of adventure.

And you stumble through
to mystery, unknowable puzzles,
a Pandora's box of imagery,
bound and enslaved,
to dream, reality, memory,
bedecked with lucid hallucination.

The intensely dark and hollow,
the bright lights hot shine,
all swirl in symbiosis,
dazzling and confusing your view,
assaulting your quiet feelings
with butterflies and nausea.

And you sink enthralled,
appalled, intoxicated,
as thoughts, desires, pictures,
flash before your eyes unbidden,
products of inertia
from the depths of my mind.

Someone once said they'd like to take a peek into my bi-polar psychedelic washing machine mind.
Despite the Govt. Health Warning and exclusion zone.
But ... if I am the guide, then the journey begins ... are you scared?

You are my procaine
An escape from daily pain
The most captivating page
Written was your name
Pursuant through this maze,
I search endlessly for words to say
My precious guide, if only you could see
Forever by your side
Is the only place for me

And I did feel the hands of flightless nights
The gentle pull of fear, mixed into the very heart of bravado
The slightest brush of something wholesome to be found
In a mixture of perverse excitement.

To be found and lost at the same time, the most delicate balance to strike.

Genuine emotion, and the feeling of finding some camaraderie
A shared connection to be found within the binding of togetherness
All for a common intent
An extended hand, reaching out every member

At the peak of deprivation, I've only felt empty
Yet It encompasses completely, immersive like a dream
I comply wholeheartedly
For a poor and bitter end, no doubt
But an airing of my personal grievance, I can't imagine a worse outcome

Segregate, more than human kind all brought together
The kind of closed off system that one can only find in narratives
Completion of which results in a stark understanding that
Time passes

When the darkness closes in
And I feel entrapped by sin
May I hold fast the sight
Of God's unfailing, guiding light
If its brilliance becomes obscure
Of its presence I'm always sure
So towards that glimmer I will crawl
Afraid to walk or I might fall
Until, at last, my eyes will see
His grace, the door that sets me free

Gentle waves reflect
Star undimmed guiding my path
Still as Winter ends
Haiku for my father who passed away

These Lantern poems are super fun and now, it's slight addictive!
These Lanterns light words of life which I hope will brighten someone's day.
One of my many dreams is to attend a Lantern festival in Asia, specifically Japan and China. I've always wanted to go.
There's something so magical, something enchanting about watching lanterns float away. A beautiful sight.
Life has many lanterns. Be in awe!
It'll show you the way.

Be back soon!
