Heart of Silver Mar 2018
They say willow trees are weeping because
their branches sag towards the ground
while all the other trees
choose to reach up and up
towards a gorgeous sky

But perhaps willows just know that
you gain nothing from
grasping towards an endless horizon
and no matter what you do
you will never touch the clouds
nor will reaching them
do anything for you

and instead they let their branches bend
towards an earth
that yields boundless and glittering treasures
diamonds and gold
for those who are willing
to put in the work
and keep their feet on the ground
My work has me weeping :P.
Fight through the pain
Only then will you gain
That's what they all say
It's as clear as day
Be graceful!
Chin up!
Get back there
The floor is yours
Now land, hit the ground
Don't make a sound
Practice makes perfect
But all this falling gets to my head.
Keep going
See the smiles
And right back down again.

Bury me with my poetry,
When I am gone.
Bound it in leather and give it back to the earth.
Let a new green tree grow from my words and my curse.
My sharpened silver tongue will carve a river bed.
I will rain down bright blue color to keep it fed.

My energy, my true self;
I will recycle.

EXHALING YOU FROM ME HAPPENS WITH PEN
YET EVEN ART CAN NOT RELIEVE LANGUISH
ABANDONING AN ANGEL IN HEAVEN
WILL ONLY LEAVE THE MORTAL IN ANGUISH

I SEARCHED INSIDE HIS SHADOW DAY AND NIGHT
WITH HOPES SMALL TRACES OF YOU MAY BE FOUND
NOTHING COMPARABLE LIVED IN HIS LIGHT
AND ONLY SERVED AS MY BURIAL GROUND

THEY SAY GOODBYES DO NOT APPLY TO ALL
AND ONLY HURT THE ONES THAT LOVE WITH EYES
YOUR WORDS WHICH I ONCE DRANK LIKE ALCOHOL
ARE POEMS I NOW CRAVE TO EXORCISE

I’M LEFT WITH VERSES MEANT TO POISON ME
AND FRAGMENTS OF WHAT I CALLED “DIGNITY”

A footstep stood
is better than a step back.
We may leave a deeper print,
but it shows others
                    that's its not easily filled.

And that those that try to fill it,
              have lot more to prove

than the reason of its depth..

lean into the wind they say
balance on the ***** of your upturned feet
shut your eyes and away the breeze will take you
falling is a floccinaucinihilipilification
yet when you hit the ground
it's so much more
Back and Forth

I have set my feet
upon your shaky ground
in the sky of your uncertainties
in the depth of your abyss
The vastness of your world
is overwhelming
the mysteries you uphold
they are charming
And I am but one
willing victim
of your beauty
never ending
And my feet
they are weak
but I have withstand
your shaky ground
And your sky
I have flown
and your depth
I have known
and your world
your mysteries
They all unfold to me
Will it be you and me?
I was amazed I was able to do this in one sitting. Love is really great and unpredictable, it makes you do awesome things.

Taupe limbs covered
with powdery snow
clumped together
with a silvery glow.
Harsh winds brush
each crystal mix
drops to the ground
from the taupe sticks.
In an effort to preserve a solitary strand of consciousness laced with conscientiousness that I can only describe as the lingering remnants of hope within me, I'd like to take the time to catalogue this lonely thought amidst an overwhelming, unwanted, and relentless cacophony.

Sometimes, even within the most ludicrous events or wanderings of the mind we can find a moment of gratitude or humble ourselves to then change our perspective
-however briefly.

Think about how tirelessly a phone speaker or any electronic device for that matter works to provide as a source of consistent entertainment, comfort, and support (depending on how you utilize your devices). Yet the minute it breaks or fails, we viciously attack it for having failed us; chastising, deploring, and implementing our derogatory sleights once it deviated outside of its expectancy. Negating the circumstances previous in which it has been right there to provide what we desired or needed in real time.

The same thing can be applied to how we treat each other. It is vital to remember if we feel that someone has failed us to simultaneously recall how many times they have been there when we needed them. And most importantly forgive them the faults of their human condition while gaining the ability to recognize those very faults within ourselves. Approach with understanding, share wisdom, and spread compassion as you tread. Even if the circumstances do not fall in kind with you. The reason behind your pain, confusion, and suffering is so that you'll know when the good times come. "What you are, I once was. What I am, so you will become."
