I was remembering when we were new
Love was an uncharted land
Our time was spent navigating
Mapping bodies with both hands

And tough times built us mountains
To ensure we would grow strong
Standing solid through the struggle
You were my rock when things went wrong

All the lovely sleepless nights
Spent texting thoughts and fears
Were the beginning of our voyage
We were unwitting pioneers

Although the departure was scary
I knew I had no choice but to start
Despite the danger and risk of failure
Instincts said 'follow your heart'

So we decided to set sail together
Though neither had yet steered a ship
Our commitment and passion kept us above waves
The duration of our trip

When the water turned rough and choppy
We almost began to sink
On the paper used to draw our course
Temporarily ran out of ink

It was you who saved me from drowning
When I foolishly jumped off the boat
Abandoned our vessel in fear of shipwreck
With one oar you made us float

Forgiveness forged a way to shore
Filled the pen with tears and blood
So we could continue cartography
From the place the picture smudged

We have come a great distance since that day
But still have a lot left to explore
Though the diagram of our hearts is complete
Life is still showing us more

Thick woods
Green fields
Dry deserts of sand
Our feelings guide us through it all
Our graph gets larger as time passes
And harder for you I fall

The route we travelled was complex
There were easier by far
But the difficult terrain molded us
Into the people we now are

Our direction was not influenced
But entirely our own
I'd rather our tumultuous journey
Than a simple one alone

Because you are my final destination
No matter where our path may lead
Location is irrelevant
When your arms are the only home I need

I never knew our relationship
Would be the atlas discovered
But I hope you realize I'm grateful
For each millimeter uncovered

I can't explain the overwhelming attraction
The magnetism connecting us two
But from the moment we met one thing was certain
My soul's compass pointed straight to you
This one was quite the challenge. Even had to bust out the old thesaurus.. hence the word "cartography" haha

Candle candle burning bright, in the forest of the night.
Many sin and dine in your light knowing not your sacrifice.
Others shine like the morning star, in the luminosity lent by you.
Without even a word of thanks to you they bask in pseudo glory.
No poet am I, nor singer but not so stone hearted that lines of fire fail to move me.

Uncertain times cause the heart to pound,
The mind wanders and just runs around.
Times seem tough and life seems down,
All amidst Corona and the Covid lockdown.

See it as an opportunity or see it as a curse,
Be a cribbing patient or a nurturing nurse;
It is all a matter of choices and words,
Life's a conscious choice of adjectives and verbs.

Glad that life gave us some time to reflect,
to get into our hearts and introspect.
on the choices we make and the way we live,
whether to carry grudges or to just forgive.

Whatever the case would have been,
I have got some time to be more keen;
to look back and read lifeโ€™s story again,
the days of joy and the nights of pain.

Was it really caused by the external world,
or was I the sole cause of that swirl?
Now when I look back and think again,
I can clearly see the self-inflicted pain.

While I wait and see my life slow-down,
I feel a bit grateful to this lock-down.
For giving a chance to review and vet,
And save myself from a life of regret!

I now shall choose the gratitude route,
without any glitch or an inch of doubt.
By taking time each day to write-down,
of things that life has weaved around.

The beauty of nature, the chirping of birds,
the morning breeze and the walk in the woods;
I feel surprsied how I could not have found,
such jewels of nature which were always around.

I feel rather thankful to the this lockdown,
for it gave me the needed time to slow down.
To take corrective measures and look around,
and take a joy ride in life's merry-go-round.

Somehow I feel so grateful today
For all I have for all I am
For all those who walk my path with me
And those who left
I breath out gratitude
For my beautiful body
Mine
So warm so dear
For the touch
For the smell
For the sight
For the sounds
For the taste
I am here
And while chaos and uncertainty reigns all around
I stand still
Breath in the unwelcome
And out โ€œthank youโ€

I get a feeling in my fingers and my mouth
That tell me to type "hel" into my browser
Chrome remembers the rest and I find myself here
"Title" I leave until the end
"Poem" usually knows what to say

This time I just want to say thank you hello poetry
For being a place where I can put my thoughts
Organized and attractive where I read them over and over
Where I can write new words and not get carpal tunnel
A place to gracefully dump out my feelings

A place to cry with words
Dance with syllables
To romance with the tapping of my fingers on my keyboard
To maybe catch someone's attention
And also maybe to not

Thank you for years of thoughts spelled out
Thank you for a place to read my ex's poems about me
Thank you for a page to write poems about my ex's
Thank you for a community of a few

Thank you to everyone who's ever liked my poems
The "<3" always make me giddy
Just to think that someone read my words
And liked them
Such a delight

I love this place to collect my words

If the men is the biggest creation of god
For sure there is other men in other planets
If the creation of men it's bigger than the creation of the universe
maybe it's unfair to compare, since the universe there is no beginning,
so many mystery around us, so many questions, it's hard to believe some avatars achieve that goal, it's hard to believe that men is the biggest creation of god.

What about the angels, archangel, seraphims? They wasn't created by god? they always exists? Are they like the Universe, with no beginning ? why some souls have the privilege like that being an angel? or it's not a privilege and the angels was men before and they have such a high level of evolution after many incarnation process who make they become angels?
In the final goal, everybody will become angel? and them what, to be grateful to god? Become a god? and what? When everybody have all the process of incarnation finished and the cycle broken, everybody living in the highest level of consciousness, to do what? to help who? just to be grateful? is god needy to attention ?

I swallowed my saliva
Desiccated air
It was darker than the city
At urbanโ€™s edges pretty
First Prize Second
The ringer goes off in sequence
The theme park illuminated
Not with lights but with
The smell of anticipation
Holding our own
Felt like holding someone elseโ€™s
Our footsteps
Loud but drummed to the beat of another it paces
The Crusaders mediated
A brawling debut
Of words at the brim
Of our throats in disputes
Our silence
Unlike the night
Was warmer than an Afghan
20 kilometres felt like 2
When I am walking alongside
Hand not in hand
Alongside with you
A recollection of a night walk home with a newly made friend that I will remember forever. "Way Back Home" is a song by The Crusaders, it was the song we were listening to.
