look up
it will only be a bit

look up
you know it is worth it

look up
you've been places much like this

look up
dig out of the pit

look up
you see the stars from here

look up
the future's bright and near

look up
gone with all the tears

look up
there's nothing left to fear

look up
until your neck is raw

look up
you traveled and you saw

look up
just wait for the applause

look up
but don't forget to pause

look up
you know which way to go

look up
and trust the ones you know

look up
darkness 'round the low

look up
you'll be the one who glows

Beauty is found in things above
and things below

Beauty is found in a rainbow
A twinkle, twinkle show
And a firefly's glow

And beauty is found in your smile
just so

They say beauty is always found
in the eye of the beholder
Is it true, I don't know

Beauty is found in special places
and upon kindest faces

With men of honor and their shield
And beauty is found
upon wildflowers in a field
Of this I know

Some like to live by following lists
To decide what's good enough,
Trusting the rules, the "shoulds" and ideals,
Not heart, intuition or gut.

Rulebooks and list have a time and place,
A purpose, a reason, a use,
But if unhappy we aren't let down
We just list another excuse.

"He's so nice, I must be wrong,
This job should be my dream."
Following lists can lead to smiles
But they won't make you beam.

To find your own fulfillment,
Don't follow a recipe,
Or assume it is one size fits all,
Don't take your happiness lightly.

So yes, you can follow a guide
Of where you think you should go,
You can settle for things that make you content
Or wait for what makes you glow.

It’s an illness
Or should I say a curse

You're
attractive
when
you're
positive
Her
Like fire,
she needs oxygen to breathe.
Like the sun,
she needs fuel to burn.
Like the moon,
she needs light to glow.
Like the stars,
she needs to be herself to shine.

the rain
(dance)s with me:
a dialect that (speaks) so much
softer than the (silence) you’d bleed
as it dripped (around) you and your e n d l e s s
ringing; an emptying of (my entirety) i am this coming
to be . . .this be coming of we (& my) colors won't
stop as the (bones) in my knees do continue to
flow thru this new winter breeze as i (glow)
(from) rhythm of growth i now sing in
(the) hurt and your sting i create my
own theme; this is (freedom)
to me i am one with
the leaves as (i)
turn and i
(leave)
dance speaks silence around my entirety
& my bones glow from the freedom i leave.

Green
Growing
Not like the heart

Red with eternity
Ever slowing
Dying slowly
Like the sun
Is the knowingness
Of the dead leaves

Be near to me
Be evergreen
Growing
