I don’t want to get high off of drugs.

I want to be high on life,

the crisp october breeze outside.

I want to be high off of you

breathe into my lungs.

you are the blood in my veins

so warm to the touch.

whether you’re here or not,

your body will forever haunt mine.

a ghost, a soul, always on my mind.

when you scavenged my virginity,

you also discovered my heart.

I realize now these things
aren’t far apart.

I can’t separate love from lust.

I don’t mean to bite your neck-

but when our bodies ****** as one,

I feel like a vampire.

You see me as a land of horror
A land of misery, a land of terror
But you should know I am much more than that
You should know that you're at error
The beauty of my mountains and
The vastness of my meadows
A perfect peace for those shattered
The bravery of my soldiers and the stories of my martyrs
A perfect example for those cowards
The hospitality of my people and the love for the visitors
A perfect happiness for those gathered
The four weathers and the mirth of seeing a clear night sky
A perfect trip for those who visit
There's much more but I have to end it here
I want you to come by yourself and discover!
Pakistan is not just about what you see in the news.

and we stay like this:
with fright,
cradling What If in our arms,
caressing Maybe's forehead.
confused.
fearful.
not knowing in which direction to go.
tick.
tock.
tick.
tock.
one more hour.
one more day.
they all pass by like that because...
we are waiting.

we are waiting
for a certain day so we can make that step,
the same when
we were waiting
for the school bell to announce the break.
we are waiting
for help,
but we never ask for it.
we are waiting
for another day to pass,
leave it,
maybe
tomorrow it will be okay.
we are waiting
for a sign,
a phone call,
it's not like I could call him to ask him out.
we are waiting
for the rain to stop,
so we won't ruin our hair
/pretty shoes
/coat
/etcetcetc.
we are waiting
for something we don't even know what it is,
because it would not be ok to do this or that.
we are waiting
because the sun did not rise yet and
it is too dark outside.
we are waiting
for ourselves.
we are waiting
without an aim.
maybe
something will happen so
we won't be bound to do things
we are afraid of and things
we are not sure of.
tick.
tock.
tick.
tock.

instead of getting the best out of every little thing that gives us the chance to discover, we stand in line for our own happiness...

you know that saying:
instead of us thinking thoughts,
the thoughts think us...

Are we,
Are we not,
Here to have a purpose.
Do we,
Do we not,
See what is important.
Will You,
Will You not,
Believe what You are told.
Or will You
Search for the truth,
To discover what is truly Your own.

Discover
When I hear the word my imagination takes me on a wild life changing adventure.
Tapping parts of your mind you’ve never tap into, and discover that you just want to keep on discovering more.
Thriving on seeing how far you can really go.
There is one thing I’m positive on is that we are all going to die, so why be scared to push yourself you may just miss the chance to discover wonderful, magic, inspirational moment.
Isn’t that all it takes, a moment in time where your mind is at its clearest on your adventure for a person to discover what they have been seeking?
That single moment where everything clicks, makes senses, where you have learned to accept things the way they are, and continue on with the adventure to discover another moment to a better you.

Feminity for me
was discovering you
when I took you for a ride
on my bajaj discover
Charming for me
was talking to you
when you would call me
and I would call you
and we would talk
till 3:00am in the morning
Love for me is you
when I get blazingly angry
almost raging like a mad bull
and you calm me down
with your patience and grace

She
& There she was
the subtle reflection without a mirror
quiet
kept
reserved
strong
my soul sister
with words to offer me
that once choked my esteem
silencing the bull horn full of my insecurities
you are enough
you always have been
you always will be
& the second I tried to question the truth
it spilled out and over me like rushing water
cleansing me of the layers
piled up
from years of laying underneath potential
I can breathe here
above expectations
amongst my faith
I know that life is worth living here
I know because I've felt the air thin
Like rustling paper in a silent classroom
I've been too embarrassed to be seen
too unsure to be viewed
but you
my sister
you ignited the fight in me
stretched my smile
like turtlenecks over the heads of school age children
more protection then fashion statement
I remember now
That my words pulled the same tears
from my face
from the eyes of strangers
trying not to be seen
in crowds across the world
sitting
while I stood on stage
& stripped myself of all the ill feelings
all the dark nights
and bright moments
short lived
I will never forget why I chose love
why I can't settle for less
than
more
then
a reason to live
I don't know you
yet I'm familiar with me
I, you, we... &
S.H.E
I no longer want to be caged
like a bird trapped in one page
Let me soar high
and notice my dashing colors by
Down the river I shall greet you
among the waters below the sky of blue
I'll sing a lullaby that'll make you feel safe
and be your hero without a cape
So listen to my plea
this is my one and only glee
