here i am waiting for the flowers to bloom
waiting for the sun to come
waiting for the stars to fall
waiting for the time to pass slowly
waiting for the river to flow
waiting for the next song to play
waiting for the wind to whisper my ears
waiting for the moon that will eventually out there looking for me from a far away.
patience is a virtue
to learn to wait
and just let it slip the book
through pages of memories.
people that become more happiness.
when they laugh, tell stories, or cry.
they become real because of their pain and love.

Here you come
To live another day
God wakes you up to breathe
Don't be sorrowful, dear
Because He is the Merciful One
Connect yourself
With him, all the time
You will survive, live and thrive.
Have a nice day

to stop
dreaming
that was
my worst nightmare

Today, I do not die
for in our time we have seen too many taken
Waken in me are their souls

Today, I will not die
for Frank, for Russell, for Betty June
too soon, too soon, my friends

Pay attention, I cannot cry
for Jeffrey, for Paul, my first kiss named Ray
They, who left amidst it all

Would not wish me to shed a tear
Be here, be here and know their names
James, and Donny and Danny, the twins

Great possibilities gone forever
We, hardened more as each dropped off
check off each name and know

Nelson and Dean, Tony and Roy
Arturo, whose own survival story was cut short
Stuart, who never had his proper farewell

Toned down tears may well up
Still, do not give up for they watch us now
How could they be forgotten?

For Trashina with her unbridled moxie
for John whose brilliance matched how foxy
a paradox, never understood

Whoever you've known
Whoever you've loved, give undying respect
as wrecked were their lives for ours to survive

Out-and-out trials they saw
Shall have my most undying respect
My undying respect for them all
I live today to show them my undying respect.

For those who do not understand,
we must be the ones who listen.
We must ask our sisters
and our brothers
and our mothers
and our fathers
and our friends
if they are ok.
Then, we must shut up
and listen.

We must listen
to how yes meant yes
and no meant no
but that did not matter that day
to the one that betrayed them.
We must listen to everything
and everyone
as we may be the only ones who do.
We must be the voices
for those who will otherwise remain voiceless.
For those who think they are alone,
please know that you are not.

It seems the day
when clouds hang heavy,
as wind whispers rain.

A day where
sun plays peek-a-boo
with glimmers of hope
that clouds will
dissipate drizzle.

Day that commences
while footsteps in cold breeze
quickly race to beat airs moisture.

Day when winter, wishes to speak,
with little snowflake children
ready to dance in sky.

Day where season passed as colorful
leaves fell making trees
bare naked to the sky.

It seems the day,
sun will watch
behind clouds.
Destined to return soon
to shine on snow covered hills.
heard phase seems a day and added a twist to it inside a poem

I stay up
Late at night
My head keeps spinning
Let me hear the rain
It’s the season
Sweaters exist for good reason

Islands in the clouds
Calm waters all around me
And if I’m gone
You should know
I’ve searched for something better

I dig into my brain
I forget all of my pain
Even if its just for a second
Call me by my name
And I’ll run out to you
No matter the situation

Tell me that you’re alright
Let that flower bloom
That’s its purpose to the world
Too many variations
Of the same kryptonite
Keep me from traveling
At the speed of light

I keep my loyalty
Walk me to the city
Lights shine so bright
I guess it’s alright
I can hardly see at night
So I guess I’ll kick it here
Til the sun shines so bright

We all have times
that shape us
change our views of the world
we feel conflicted
our days characterized
by wrinkled brows and
downcast glances
what will bring relief
time
love
the support of those around you
our words may reflect
our struggles
no matter how hard
we try to hide behind a smile
let people save you
allow yourself to love
and be loved
heal
live another day
love another sunrise
love another sunset
love another song
