Seemingly small and insignificant,
It sits atop my finger, like a bird perched on a branch.
A symbol of great power,
Yet shrunken and frail as paper.
Its hidden beauty rivals those of
Aphrodite.
My love for it swells
Like a well after a heavy rain.
Oh, this paper crown,
Its simple beauty
Is a gold as pure as any other.
Its paleness is greater than snow,
Its weight light, but heavier than
the empire it represents.
This paper crown, worthy of a Queen.
This was written for a class project

If I was a tree.
Which stood tall.
A monument to life.
Strong, gentle, and kind.
Wind would gently kiss my leaves.

I would be a prison.
A desolate grove of death.
Roots drunk with toxicity.
Trunk twisted, etched in profanity.
Just barren branches of thorns.

The golden leaves have said their final goodbye,
as they slowly fall down the trees.
But never have corpses of nature looked more beautiful,
than the crown they made on the top of your head.

little candy man watches
me, pushing his cotton buttons
running in the candy land
he was grabbing my hand
he was looking so glad
till I said "let me go"

spiders, spiders
runnin away from spiders
he turns to the evil
pushing me to the ground
my death is near
I hear it's sound
he's killing me for my crown
I knew I should've stayed away
from the little candy man
dying in his hands
one last tear falls on the ground

Holly and Ivy
Walked in the woods
Discussing who was the best
Holly was hoping her rosey complexion
Would maybe outshine all the rest.

But Ivy thought Holly was surely forgetting
The shock of her prickly demeanour
She was convinced for sure
The king would adore
All that was so special about her.

Now Ivy was bit of a hugger
You might say a lot of a clinger
But she was convinced
Her warming embrace
Would win over the king no matter.

And when the time came
For the winter queen crowning
The king of the woods was clear
He chose as his queen the lady he fell for
And it's Holly who now wears his ring.
"The holly and the ivy,
When they are both full grown
Of all the trees that are in the wood
The holly bears the crown."
Prompted by a curious Christmas card featuring 2 ladies in the snow: Holly and Ivy.

I have a Crown that waits
In glory up above
A diadem of diamonds
And other stones of love

My blood it is as rubies
My sweat deep blue sapphires
My tears are as a topaz
Peridot, turquoise.

There are Opals in my charity
Pearls in my patience
Beryls in my honesty
Fire agate in my faith

Emeralds in empathy
I run from greed & vice
Moonstone in great mercy
Chrystophase in Christ

All these stones, and many more
Will never fade, grow old
They will be set in Floral Designs
Bezels of purest gold.

I design my diadem
With care, tender and great
To gain these stones I must allow
For vagaries of fate
There is mention of a mansion
That will be an estate
But I look forward to that crown

TO CAST AT JESUS' FEET!

I dreamt of Immortality
So that in not dying
I could keep my lying
As you suckle on my truth

And this fountain pen
Doesn't flow with youth
Crooked smiles can't rebuke
My times coming to an end

Spiraling down, twisted frowns
Crawling for corruption's crown
May the ink burn the message clear
These broken words scream fear

The King of Kings,
That's what he is called.
He made big empires
And won all his brawls.
His mighty strength
Could change the epics
In all the directions
Were his relics .
His pride was too much high ,
To be conquered by anyone .
His empire was in his warmth ,
As he was their rising Sun.
In the cry of battle hours,
He crushed all his enemies .
He was truthful and loyal,
But was unaware of his frenemies .
The person he trusted most ,
Gave him an unhealable scar.
No one else than his own brother,
Told him everything is fair in love and war.
In the jail he decided not to mourn.
He was strong willed and stubborn.
He told himself, He will rise high
Because no one can stop the rising sun.
He is the true king of kings ,
Lost All, but not the hope
His determination, will and
Strength marked no stop .
He took a deep breath;
So long that a decade passed.
He returned to silent wrath inside,
To claim the all that honour lost.
He showed them all,
Of what he is made.
Fought and conquered
With the power of blade
Again he proved it;
And returned to throne.
Determination, Morality and hope,
Are a King's real Crown.
