A stride nearer and I would feel the love rush they call warmth.

A little warmer and I would meet the trap they call lips.

An inch closer and I would taste the ****** they call slaver.

A step nigher and I would experience the bliss they call the first kiss.

I count one, two, three and I can't believe
We've made it this far; still such a dream
Somehow, you treat me like a queen
Look, my love, at what we've achieved:
Moments together we can treasure
Conversations I'll always remember
All of the love and all of the laughter
The closest I've been to "happily ever after"

It is so easy to think
that you’re never going
to find someone like him-
until you find someone better.
It is so easy to think things
will never be like before
Until they are.
It is too easy to think
we’ll never get that fairy-tale love-
that happily ever after just like
they have in the movies-
until one one day we find it.
But you’re not at the end
of your story yet-
just remember that the
happily ever after is always
at the end.

We don't have much time,
so spend it with someone who
wants to give you theirs.

You and I, him and her, we are all the same
But nun of you walk around covered with my blame
Slowly turning it into fame, looking at an empty picture frame
Wondering who started the flame, but it always ended the same
You knew my name, before you started the love game
I knew your pain before you even let me into your brain
It was covered in a cloud of rain, I tired to help and change
But before I could, I was already sitting on that plane
It felt like someone had put us one the luggage exchange
We started plummeting, we hit the ground running
I made promise after promise, I told you I’d do this, I told you I’d do that
Then I went and told you I was coming back
I told you that to make you feel better, I was trying to give you hope
Trying to give you the energy and courage to cope
But Then your hope went up in a puff of smoke
But *******, I had to stay happy and humble
I couldn’t afford to stumble otherwise it would be over
From a lover to someone who ducked for cover
From being someone you cared about, to being no one
Together, break up, together break up then a Couple again
One hell of a story, We wondered how it’d all end
I suppose we did, now goodbye old friend

Us
It's never the right time
for us,
and since there is more us-
not now, not ever,
I will cherish 'us'
from our past
and from my dreams.
I will cherish 'us'
with my poetry,
and with the photographs
I still have scattered
in the shadows.

I found out that with you,
promises were never kept
& forever,
was never long
so, I had to accept
that our love would last for just a song.
I've been writing again. Not my best but I'm happy I'm writing for the sake of writing.
Much love, N.
Words stain like red wine on your couch
and you try so hard to erase it out
but remnants will remain
and even when you no longer see it,
it will always exist in your mind
and you will remember,
memories and feelings will rush back
and you wish you could remove that stain--
that scar that won't ever disappear
in your mind as easily as you removed
that red wine.
Be careful with what you say when you're angry or in pain. When things cool down and you say, "you didn't mean it", it becomes hard to believe it because everything was said and done and you can't take that back. Forgiveness can happen but remember that they won't forget it, you permanently scar someone.
