Vale Luna May 2017
Standing at the edge of space
Where matter decomposes
And time is none existent

Inhaling the fumes
Of flickered out stars
And vaporized planets

Observing the frozen cosmos
Fixed in a fragile moment
Ziplocked still

Falling off the edge of the universe
Accepting fate and truth:
All things die.

Luna, my Luna,
I was seven; I was clueless.
I wondered and wandered
At such a young age.

How was life supposed to be?
What was I supposed to do?
Floating through my mind,
These unanswered prayers remain.

Luna, my Luna,
I was seventeen; I was naïve.
What was I supposed to think?
What was I supposed to feel?

Void after void, it consumed me.
It ate me alive— whole.
Isolation was the answer
To hide my inner demons.

Luna, my Luna,
I am now in my twenties.
Still, lost in the depths of my thoughts.
Still on a high with all of these thrills.

This roller coaster ride,
I’ve come to understand;
How life flows around
In ups and downs.

Luna, my Luna,
How do you watch over the people?
Their thoughts continuously wandering
Through the lifeless atmosphere of this cold night.

Decades after decades,
Do you not ever get tired?
I would like to say thanks
For your constant company.

“I’m your wave – I told her –
Lay your head right here,
Softly on my shoulder.
Let your thoughts roam free.”

“You’re my air – she told me –
You’re my life and sun.
Singly we are nothing.
Allied we are one.”

“I’m your fire – I uttered –
Burning bright and mild.”
“That be true“ – she muttered,
Slender, sound and wild.

When we are together,
Nothing holds us down
The unwashed may blather,
Let them laugh and frown.

Floating through the cosmos
On a marble blue,
With the odds against us,
We make dreams come true.

Fresh from the oven. Methinks I messed up the punctuation, namely - direct speech - big time but I do hope it's legible.
Dream on, butterflies!

The winds of change she often rode
A wild free spirt, through the galaxy she strolled

Out in the Milky Way, she liked dipping in her toes
See the silver ripples as outwardly they flow

That fiery auburn hair was always in a whirl
When on Saturn's rings she would go for a twirl

She would wash her soul clean, in Jupiter's waterfall
She always loved listening to that planets howling call

Sadly her heart froze solid in the blizzards of Neptune
She flung herself to the Dark Side of the Moon

Like fireflies in the dark, bring life to a child's jar
Silent shimmering tears, gave birth to kaleidoscope stars

Don't bother looking, gone but still close
Another wild free spirit, woven into the cosmos

She stares at the stars,
Her eyes nibble the Milky Way
Like that of a candy bar.

I have yet to see eyes that compare
To hers.
Aglow with lunar light.
Her gaze aided with crescent moon contact lenses.

And then I could see what she saw.
Her eyes…
They were infinite,
Just like the space she stared at.

No concerto of cosmic colors
Could tear me from her tranquil gaze.

I get lost in her eyes,
Just as she gets lost in the skies.

In the same rhythm,
Sea moves,
Divides the shore.

Though, he loved the sky.
Every night he would be here
And he would make love with stars,
On the slay.
They loved him.
Sky took him away.
One of them then he was.
But I haven't seen his shine for a long time.
It was same as the one in his eyes when he left,
Griefly pale.

In the same rhythm,
Sea moves,
Divides the shore.

I wish my hands could explore your body like astronauts in the cosmos
Your eyes, like interstellar stars, connecting to the inconceivable constellation network that are your thoughts, like safe havens for space travelers.

I would pin you to the edges of a galaxy.
Kiss you like I were being ****** into a black hole and our lips were all that was holding me back, and as the dark unforgiving void that is something I can’t even comprehend begins to devour my being, I would be satisfied with this universal exploration of a life.

I would paint you into a celestial being.
Astronomers would gaze in awe.
No matter the eccentricity, My gravity would forever rotate amid such a pulchritudinous space.

Amid something so milky.

Afterwards,
doves were given seats in parliament.
Growth was measured in forests,
greed was a treatable condition and
the only religion was love.
An economy based on death was unthinkable.

The great spirits gathered themselves
once more and proceeded like clouds
moving over the mountains, returning
to the lands of the ancestors, lighting
fires along the way for each of
those that did not make it.

The time of remembering came and went
like a storm or a dream, as all things do,
unfolding crease by crease like a sail in the wind.

That was where we met, your dad and I,
in a field some time after the sunrise.

there is this pithless entity

circling round my gut

waxing and waning

folding in infinite measures

like stiff cloth finding creases

that fit

and I caress this part

inside which has no fold

or definite pattern

but there is this power

and it increases as the light

of lesser days burn into night

brightly devouring

all lesser fabrications

willing them to speak

in hushed whispers

bathed by blackness

completely surrounded am I

a vagrant soul departed

yearning for this star of gasses

to not combust but

slowly awaken

and you spark that within me

heavy and unaware

a messy cloth of vibrance

washed and wrung and folded gently

with shaking hands and thumping breath

the atmosphere surrounding

all that is real

enveloping my body as it speaks

of glorious wonders

operating deep

within the cosmos

where air is sealed tight

like a vacuum and

I can't help but breathe in

even though

I know

I'll suffocate

They said no offense
but he reminds us of you.
Doubt it, i replied.
Then through those doors you stumbled through;
Saying “love is all around,”
and that made me turn around.
A careless glance.
That’s all it took.
For me
to see me,
when i thought
i watched
you.
