The winter blues are rich with gloom,
twisting my heart with apathy.

And perhaps shame too, let it not hide behind the weather.

Is it this dark obsession or some hidden transgression?

All the lessons learned, but failure is all that remains.

What road is left, I cannot see between the flickers of my dwindling flame.

River water kept flowing
Time kept ticking away
Seconds never seen again
Faded from the candle’s flame.

Soul flame

Flickering  life

A gentle burning

Smouldering until the end

When the light fades

A tiny glow

Then out

Leaving only smoke

And the essence of memories

how can we forgive ourselves for all the things we didn't do?
we lived with artificial feelings for so many untouched mornings,
without knowing who we are,
we used the word "I" many times, describing ourselves in many ways
all deceptive, half-truths

we are like a wax spilled on a half-burned candle,
a candle that really wanted to burn, but died out before it was born,
muted white flames fluttering have confessed silent desires,

if we could start over and remove the wax, dig deep, maybe we could light the quenching soul to find out its secrets

there is no empty soul only emptiness in the soul
unseen things are hidden there in the dense depths, forgotten, breathing more and more rarely,
they are butterflies of powders of hope which want to fly only once

how can we forgive ourselves for all the things we didn't do?

What a fire it was
that burned down in our souls
Like a candle, bright flame
exuding heat like burning coals
The candle burned bright
The only light on a dark night
My only protector, a dark knight
No vision, no moonlight
The sands of time, crashed on our flame
The cry of love did not sing our name
The light faded, a flickered flame
We loved and lost
We lost the game

I lit my cigarette with a candle
And I kept on smoking
Didn’t mean to
I was thinking to much
Just thinking

i open my windows in October
when i sleep

i am alone

still candle flame through frosted stone

a warm milky glow
& cool crystalline air

As the flame flits about on the wick,
my eyes are drawn to her silhouette dancing on the wall, summoning me to see her being.

Everything my eyes beheld upon her
was straight out of a poetry book.

I read her stanzas—
line after silhouetted line—
she became lust to my tongue.

I only recite
her now.

what can a flickering candle say
to a blazing sun?
Is it bad that I’m still waiting for a man to make me feel this way?
