Whatever song you'll hum
while you drive is like a rhapsody
to my heart.
we'd have our fingers interlaced
and our hair
feeling the caress
of midnight breeze
as we speed at the highway
looking our way
to forever.

There's a steel drum playing loudly in the valley,
the tinks are infectious and lively

The shadows are rolling down the cliff with the breeze,
everything is right in the world we know to be true and sane

The thicket is dry and full of keawe thorns,
the bush is rustling with critters that show their fangs in the twilight hours

Our dogs are satisfied with the cool evening gentle wind gusts while the shores are still being lapped from the strong
Pacific currents

The day was difficult due to the heat,
when this happens we all suffer

The streams of sunlight dwindle and night settles in.

The night owls make their runs to town and back,
while the guard dog is chained and fast asleep

The night is long and only gives way to only the heat of the
mid-morning sun,
the birds chirp again

See!! The world is correct while we sleep, while we are active and while we breathe the Kona winds off the cold Pacific waters.

Nothing in life is just one event. It's merely the rhythm of life that occurs.

Warm sunlight on my face,
warm sunlight on my arms and feet;
my body feels warm all over
but cooling in the summer breeze;
I am enjoying the experience
of being alive.

As I walk along the sand
with the bottom of my feet
I feel
the bumps in the sand
I feel
the fine coarse sand
on my skin
squishing in-between my toes,
I am enjoying the experience
of being alive.

As I wade across the water
I feel
the cool waves wash my feet,
I am enjoying the experience
of being alive.

Walking my favourite beach
I feel
the warm-but-cooling summer breeze through my hair,
I am enjoying the experience
of being alive.

on the horizon
pastel clouds float
swirled by the breeze

underneath them
in awe of their color,
i only feel blue.
I challenged myself to use the words blue, breeze, and horizon or skyline.

You can try, too!

The summer air still smells like you.
Gentle breezes touch my skin with memories of you.

Empty passenger seat,
I wonder how you are.

Your old workplace.
Red light.

Like clockwork you appear..

In the peryphery I see you laughing with a cigarette in your hand.
I hear the voice I used to love, and I smile.

You're the same, yet different.
Thinner than I remember, more handsome than I wished to..

Light turns green.

Nostalgic with an aching heart, I have to leave you behind.

Shadows from the sun cast reflections of us.

Open wide road.

Through an open window I breathe our memories.

I whisper to the gentle breeze, hoping you'll hear it.

on delicate stems
wildflower quavers quiver
in the bluesy breeze

i loved him because
of how
in need of love
he was

tending to his
bruises and scars
stitching his wounds
days were full
of tears
of joy

i loved him because
loving him
was like
feeling summer's first breeze

we struggled together
we struggled with ease

Look at the tree
Such soft bark, those hard leaves

It has no place for me to see
Just fuzzied lines in a dappled breeze.

And like the night breeze
Her love comes quietly, patiently.
A breeze spoke soft between her lips
Softly rapping on my ears.
And like the calm of the breeze
I am at pleasant thought
Lost in ultimate stillness.
No matter the amount of noise from the rest of the world
Nothing could interrupt this peace of mind.
Her love the night breeze coming as a quiet hush
And I, ever so thankful for the amount of calm that follows.
The rest of the world slowly swallowed by peace
If for but a moment.
Everything makes sense.
Until that moment I never really noticed
How often this breeze would come.
Until that moment I never really noticed
that some nights this breeze rarely comes
