Idiosyncrasy Mar 2016
All good things come to an end
The sakura blooms and leaves in a week
That's why there's a rare chance to see it's beauty
Just like there was just one chance for you and me
So sometimes I take comfort that our love was too good then
But I wish not all good things should come to an end.

if a flower blooms each time
my heart is falling for you
then I will turn this world
into a kaleidoscopic garden
Seth Milliman Mar 2016
In the end,
Do not burn in your self-pity.
For the world you see,
Was never really pretty.
So burn in what you may,
No return to once what was.
For life was never meant to be lived in one space,
So bloom and buzz.

the garden holds
an aromarous display
of flowers
sprouts of tulips
with their
caressed petals
bringing life
to the dirt they were
grown from

all planted
with a purpose
someone wanted
to see them bloom
wanted to see all
but the dandelion
the pesky
****

I am the dandelion
plucked
by the child's hands
given a purpose
for I sprouted without one

here, mama
look, I brought you
a flower
I thought it was
just as pretty
as you!

smacked
to the ground
"youre saying
I'm as ugly
as that hideous
****?"

the one
that never goes
away
the one
that shows up
when you want it the least
stealing
your sunshine
stealing
nutrients
from the tulips
and roses

in the garbage
with an old
banana peel
and empty containers
of yourt
I hear the child
cry

I am sorry
to only be a burden
I am sorry
I could not impress
your mother
I am sure I will be
one of many
unsatisfactory
gifts

I did not ask to be here
a mistake
a pest
never appreciated
only causing
trouble

I am the dandelion
the child is me
won't you let me
grow
freely
growl I haven't been writing as much why why why

I sit and listen to the crickets melancholy tune
I watch the moon start to bloom
The stars pirouette across the sky
Soon the frogs are croaking in relpy
Fireflies light up the night
Flickering their golden light

A single wolf starts to howl
As if to ask the age old question how
I ended up so lonely
And where's my one and only

My dog is sitting at me feet
She looks up at me as if to say, nothing here is off beat
In the cool of the evening
the honeysuckle is smelling much sweeter
Than in the day under the sun's heater

The moths flutter around on silent wings
My heart is so light it just sings
I just sit here for hours dreaming
Under the moon that now is just beaming

My dog gets up and moves to the door
I look at my watch it's way past four
She's ready for the foot of my comfy bed
So I oblige, and make my way inside, and lay down my weary head

Find me in the Spring
and I will love you freer
I feel so light and happy

Flowers started to bloom on my
                         Birthday
     Anxiously I picked everyone that
                Reminded me of her
                  Bold and Carefree
My mixed feelings didnt let me give them
            To her instead I gracefully
                 ripped each petal off
Next time i feel like destroying a flower
                  Ill grab it but stop
I dont need to pluck off petals to
Proove that you love me not
       I planted a flower 7 months ago
            And it still hasn't bloomed
        Who plants flowers during Fall?
I shouldnt have started so soon

Love love love
Ours is like withered flowers
Because whenever I see my dark circles
Or freshly painted bruises spreading over my canvas
I see violets blooming //
Love love love
Ours is like licking flames
Because whenever I look into your eyes
Or feel the warmth of your touch leaving burn marks
I remember who painted me //
Love is not *love
at all
And I guess I'm beginning to see
That violet is your favorite color
And I am your masterpiece //

Traveling (with Frost) down the lightly trodden path,
with shoed soles sauntering over thawed earth,
twisting down the narrow trail,
away from the prying eyes of tour guides—

Encompassed by flowery heads who mirror the sun,
who burst forth with fluorescent green necks
craning from the dirt,
delineating our path in cascades of springing splendor.

Sensing the ostinato of ambulant waters crescendo,
we soon break from the budding foliage—
To be greeted by gentle winds
and the lapping of placid waves

who break onto the languid shore
onto shoed and socked feet,
who sense holy ground and immediately
kick off their bindings—

To sink into the earth,
and gritty sand reaching up between toes;
the water deceptively inviting,
is greeted with delightful shrieks in its refreshing chill.

Secluded in our cove,
we gaze over the waters where to our right
rests a breathing reconstruction of the Dove;
we stand awed before these waters
both the settler and the native.

What gods were praised on these lands,
and in these woods,
and in these skies,
and in these waters?

And on March 25, 1634,
in the promising onset of spring,
what had they to sing in the calm airs
as the settlers crossed the threshold of the Potomac?

She whispers,
“Funny how the water appears green on the shore,
and clear on the river.”

You bloom in my heart like early Bluebonnets during winter
Removing all my splinters
That were still left from the beginning
I'm not even bleeding
I'm just pinned with feeling
Don't stop this fishing pole from reeling
Cause I'm believing
That you're more than the first moment
